hi, this is probably a weee bit early for some ppl, but im waiting til end of this month to ttc (the desperation, brooding over other peoples babies and feeling jealous of pregnant women , thinking of names and waiting 2 symptom spot kicks in)
so come along and join the journey to motherhood!

for anyone who may be interested and wants 2 share your story..
we're going to be ttc #3 - and our last, we have a 4 1/2yr old daughter and 3year old son, hoping as dd will be at school and ds will be at nursery a couple of mornings a week will help make daytimes with a newborn a little easier
baby dust to all

Hi there broody I may well be joining you as this cycle looks like it's going to be a mammoth one.... however not quite ready to give up my seat on the August bus yet!!

We are TTC #2. DD is 3 next month. Have been nervous to TTC for quite a while as I had very severe PND which landed me in hospital Sad . Sooo much better now though, and loving being a mummy! The toddler days are definitely more fun than the baby days Smile

nannyl · 11/11/2010 18:42

Hello

Can i join

I am going to be TTC after my next period...
Have been waiting for ages as i dont want my child to be the youngest in the school year so have been waiting until i have a September due date.

We will be trying in December and if successful will have a due date of September 11th / 12th... if unsucessfuk we keep trying!

Im so excited, and so is OH! Smile

It will be my 1st chils, but ive nannies for 10 years (though not nannying any more) and i just cant wait to have one of my own!

I have a CBFM, OPKs at the ready and have been charting for 4 months.
Have already given up caffine and alcohol completely!

broodywantcoilout · 11/11/2010 19:33

nannyl I'm with you there, towards the end of this month will start taking folic acid, have already started eating more healthily, even trying out things like wheatgrass juice!

Ooh, ohh! Save me a seat! I am having my implant removed tomorrow and then it begins TTC #2! I lost my first child though :( So again fingers crossed for the September bus! :o

And i know what you mean broody, i have being fawning over kids for quite some time now, and now im ready :)

Getdown I'm sorry top hear that, so like broody says, i hope the same doesn't happen again - don't get off the august bus yet though!!

Wishing all you ladies luck!

GetDownYouWillFall · 12/11/2010 08:33

thanks ladies! I do feel more prepared this time - more like I know what I am doing! so hopefully I won't get PND again, or at least not as badly.

I'm going to linger round here a bit and also on the august bus (two bus rides at once!) as I have no idea how long my cycle is going to be (had a miscarriage last cycle and don't know what my body is doing right now).

Had a dream last night that I was pregnant Sad

broodywantcoilout · 12/11/2010 23:13

innocentredhead i've heard of ppl getting pregnant almost as soon as implant is removed!! went to get my coil removed in july/august-they couldnt find it, turns out its not even in my uterus anymore so should be having it removed surgically in a couple of weeks, then all being well my husband will b v.happy and i'll b spending all my time sypmtom spotting!!
getdown lets hope ur dream comes true! :-) tho now u've joined the september bus u'll still have 2 keep in touch with us 2!

GetDownYouWillFall · 14/11/2010 19:59

I am in the post MC cycle so have no idea what will happen.

I'm on CD18 today and no sign of ov.

Last cycle I ov'd on day 16 and the cycle before that, day 13. So clearly something is up.

Hoping my hormones sort themselves out soon! I really don't know yet whether I'm still riding on the august bus or whether I'll be on the september bus...

Hope your work tomorrow isn't too stressful.

Jojay · 14/11/2010 20:11

Can I join? I'm not sure which bus I should be on Grin but we're TTC at the moment.
It'll be DC3 for us. We have 2 DS's, age 2 and 4.

I was very lucky to conceive the first month of trying with both boys, and I got pg this August, but sadly miscarried at 8 weeks.

We've dusted ourselves down and we're ttc again - no luck last month but it was my first proper cycle after the miscarriage and it was short - only 26 days. I'm on day 11 today so we're BD-ing a fair bit atm Blush.

Fingers crossed for this month, I SO want to be pg!

conkertree · 14/11/2010 21:03

I might stick a toe on if that's ok (am also on the ditherers thread so might do a wee hokey cooky for a while).

Dc3 for us too. Ds1 is 3.3 and ds2 is 18 months. Like jojay, we were very lucky to conceive first time with both boys so only putting a toe on just now as i rather selfishly would quite like christmas with a glass of wine and not feeling sick (after being pg with ds1 at Christmas I only had to look at a piece of tinsel for the next year or so, and I felt sick) so going by af being here just now, christmas day could well be the day fora little September baby making Grin.

conkertree · 14/11/2010 21:05

Wonder if September is a busy month for babies because of the festive period?

And I think my post was tempting fate a little so I meant, attempting to make a september baby.

broodywantcoilout · 15/11/2010 20:57

sorry jojay and getdown i cannot imagine the pain you've both been through, such a heartbreaking situation to hear.getdown hopefuly things will be back on track for you soon enough
jojay and conkertree we also have 2 young ones- dd 4 1/2yrs, ds 3yrs, i thought we were the only crazy ones wanting another with 2 little ones still running around stressing us out!haha
i know what u mean about not being able to look at tinsel-i can no longer go near a grapefruit or grapefruit juice!
when we had sd in october we were told sept/oct is a busy month for babies with ppl starting ttc in the fresh new year-lucky 4 some getting there 1st time around eh! (slight tinge of jealousy 4 the lucky ones)
at least witha sept baby dd will be back at school after the summer hols-some rest during the day after long nightsv(fingers crossed)

OP posts:
Jojay · 15/11/2010 21:09

I know - we must be nuts wanting DC3! Every now and again I have a 'what am I thinking? moment, but 99% of the time I'm so sure I want another one, and that's good enough for me.

I can't ever imagine not loving a baby once it's here but I can definitely imagine regretting not trying for DC3, so here goes!

broodywantcoilout · 15/11/2010 21:31

thats exactly how i feel, when i think about it sometimes i can also feel a bit scared of how we'll cope (tiredness, giving attention to all 3, etc). but if we didnt at least try, id always be thinking 'what if' and imagining a child we may have had. and whatever happens, we always get through it and find ways to cope, tehn make the most of every moment!

OP posts:
Jojay · 15/11/2010 21:49

It's weird isn't it? DH and I had no difficulties deciding to try for DC1 and 2, but ttc #3 has been a much bigger decision, I guess because it's not 'the norm'.

I can't wait to be pg now though!

rebelwithoutababy · 16/11/2010 13:55

Hi all,
I am new to this site, so still trying to get my head round all the acronyms. We are TTC now: have been on the pill for about 12 years and stopped at the end of my pack at the end of last month...should I get on your bus? Confused

queenofthecapitalwasteland · 16/11/2010 14:02

any room for a little 'un?

Just got my BFN for August so I'll be joining up with you guys and drinking plety of grapefruit juice.

Can anyone recommend a good cheap thermometer? thinking of checking my temps this cycle.

broodywantcoilout · 16/11/2010 14:37

is grapefruit juice meant 2 b good whe ttc? any other juices do the same job as im not sure im ready to stomach it yet- 5 years on! hahaha

dont u need a special type of thermometer-a basal thermometer? tho i have no slue what the difference is im afraid, may b worth a google?

broodywantcoilout · 16/11/2010 14:37

Hello, can I board the September bus? There is a small chance I'll chicken out and wait for October bus though (only partly because the necessity of relinquishing the option of Christmas and new year drinks is unappealing!) This is the first mumsnet bus I've boarded and it's quite exciting!

broodywantcoilout · 16/11/2010 19:39

welcome arabella i take it ur trying 4 ur 1st? exciting times!

RugbyWidow7 · 16/11/2010 19:59

Hello everyone,

Please can I jump on board for September. I'm fairly new to the site, having watched and learned on the August bus, waiting to try for a September baby too.

I've been taking the vitamins and now have af so planning to start ttc end of next week on a romantic bday night away!

Looking forward to getting to know you all.
:)
