Here you go HB a proper Poppy print, and a snip at only £954. I'm buying 3...

PollyPoo · 03/11/2010 09:40

I have just contacted TopShop via their website to tell them a) they are shit, b) it is a pansie, not a poppy and c) am I the only that finds this error disrepectful given that it is almost remembrance day. BESHsmash. I have the Rage. Blush Things like make me ridiculously Angry

Anyway, how is everyone today? I am loving all the coat/boot chat. It is making me want to buy a new coat, one that will actually do up over my gut but this seems a ridiculous waste of money as I will prolly not wear it once the baybee is laid.

owlshoes · 03/11/2010 09:46

Pols you are a hero. I so nearly did it myself but you have beaten me to it. This is what happens when we get old and grumpy, we start sending complaint emails :)

Boo that dress is gorg. I also want it with the suggested Louboutin shoes of perilous highness that I would definitely fall over in.

Yes, you're absolutely right, that does make it extra shit. Cretins.

owlshoes · 03/11/2010 09:47

Ooo, have just spelt rememberance like a Bristolian. Bugger. It's like librerary and atherlete.

PrincessBoo · 03/11/2010 09:49

I have got hardly any money left at all this month. But I am about to get the train to Birmingham to meet a friend with her not-so-new baybee. And I really want some boots now.

Oh well, miniBoo and clothes shopping don't go so well anyway so I probably won't get chance to look properly.

Casserole · 03/11/2010 09:50

That, right there, is the sort of truth that instantly cuts through all the crap and makes everything fall into place.

And on that note, I'm logging off and going to tend to my real life for a bit.

Dead Chinese nipple burns to all.

BarbiesBeaver · 03/11/2010 10:03

Oh I missed all the boot porn last night. I have had fun peeking at all the links this morning though. I've got these
I realise the price is vomit inducing but I spent my backdated pay rise on them and they were my treat to cheer me up for still not being pregnant after 18 months. I've got Raynaud's which means I've got terrible circulation in my hands and feet and they keep me snug all winter.

Bangers I love your boot and coat combo, looks a lovely outfit to go prowling around on frosted grass, and carol singing and bustling along with pretty Christmas presents tied up with velvet ribbon...not that I have an elaborate image of what you get up to or anything.

Sorry for the multiple droidage, but I am admiring Salty's take on it all.

AlpinePony · 03/11/2010 10:06

banger i) most people are thick as pigshit and twice as ignorant to boot - and can't tell the difference between a sycamore and a horse-chestnut leaf - I will delight in teaching Bear about "nature". ii) Boots currently not on DUO website (they come and go) - but have picture on my fb in photos (album called shoes I have loved or something).

I get the rage. :( I have just earlier this morning snapped at an old man in the street - his crime? Stopping and smiling. Which would've been fine of course except I had two dogs on leads who were trying to scrap with his rat-sized mutt - I had Bear strapped to my chest and had to step in to the road because he STOPPED to smile Shock whilst I was trying to drag the three out of his way and to stop his dog being eaten. Meanwhile little dog got under my feet and I trod on her because I couldn't see where she was due to the aforementioned baby on my chest. I feel guilty - but seriously? Wither commonsense?

AlpinePony · 03/11/2010 10:07

Oh has just seen Duo websitee again - it's the Genova boot (currently in black & purple) but I have it in London bus/whore red patent.

Headbanger · 03/11/2010 10:33

Oh yes the famous Genova boot - the one with the buttons up the side? LUSH!

Well they haz arrived and they iz amazing and I am never EVER taking them off. FACT! Grin.

Pol you were already my hero, and now have a shining halo of goodness to boot . I might email them too, the fuckwits. Why should the whole of civilisation descent into ignorance just to pander to the Jeremy-Kyle-Hollyoaks generation, hm? HM?

Pone you poor fearsome madwoman, you. Have a snuggle and a Gin.

owlshoes · 03/11/2010 10:44

FetlocksAhoy you terrify me. Poor aged continental gentleman. Grin

My boots have been dispatched. They had better turn up tomorrow. Then I shall be OwlBoots instead.

Headbanger · 03/11/2010 10:51

Ooo Ooo OwlyBoots pliz to link to bootly purchase?

owlshoes · 03/11/2010 11:23

Is these in black.

Furry, furry boots. Hoorah.

Headbanger · 03/11/2010 11:43

Oooo they look tres comfortable. The sort of boots I want to cuddle!

Ivegotmrbitey · 03/11/2010 12:17

owlboottwin I am wearing these in brown right now! They are super toasty, so much so that I make have to take them off and spend the rest of my lunch hour in my socks!

rocketleaf · 03/11/2010 12:20

morning hags, i have managed to overshadow scan news (it was fine, I am having a fecking baybee, eep!!) by filling my diesel car to the brim with unleaded and driving it for 4 miles. So thats definitely any boot/coat spree out the window. Think I need to go and sit in the corner with mraries

owlshoes · 03/11/2010 12:24

Hoorah for scan news, rocket :)

Sod the car; tis not as important as the scan.

rocketleaf · 03/11/2010 12:32

I am hoping I am going to be able to transform it into an amusing anecdote (rather than just the urge to kick myself in the head) :o

Actually is ok. Not sure much could piss on my bonfire today. And the upside is enforced day off as I can't get to work!

Scorpette · 03/11/2010 12:54

I want these AND these, but I can't even afford the latter Sad Time to save up!

Taking a brave detour into accessories, TYF got me this for my birthday. Boy done good :)

Rocket, you drank diesel before your scan to fill up your bladder? That's proper BESH stuff, that is Wink

Headbanger · 03/11/2010 13:07

Hoopla re. scannews Firework!

Ivegotmrbitey · 03/11/2010 13:20

Pansy dress is rather lovely though...

rocket yay for you! Is it the strangest feeling when you have your suspicions confirmed and there is really a baby in there?

LadyGoneGaga · 03/11/2010 13:53

Yay, Rocket. Smashing news. Less yay on the car. Can you not siphon it out or somefink?

I'm going to my needle woman this afternoon. Dentist this morning, needling this afternoon. Having an MOT.

Havn't laid yet. Shagging like a fiend. Well, two days in a row Grin

OP posts:
AlpinePony · 03/11/2010 13:59

rocket - I know a lot about cars, e.g., red ones, blue ones, etc., etc. Apparently 'tis better to put petrol in a diesel engine than the other way around... so it should just be a siphon rather than an engine (metal) rebuild. Made me giggle though - you comparing yourself to MrA.

rocketleaf · 03/11/2010 14:40

thanks you lovely lot. :o

bitey is weird and still unreal

pony yes not SO bad if I hadn't driven it, but cos I had it's all thru the engine which means they have to take it apart. Or maybe I;m getting ripped off, TBH i'd rather they did that, than me kill the car.

scorpels LOVELY hang bag, I am very impressed with TYF, anyone able to select such a gem is a keeper Wink

HB totally with you on the pansy/poppy thing, I am a bit anal about things like that and get a bit bogged down with calling things the right thing.

geeforce good luck with the MOT and the laying,

SO next doors grand kid is round and is screaming its head off. Of course, mine won't do that, will it? WILL IT?

LadyGoneGaga · 03/11/2010 14:46

Whoop! Egg is a-coming. OPK gone positive. PJ bottoms off for me tonight. And might even shave my legs (romance not dead round our way, oh no)

Even if we miss it this time I am reassured that my cycle has returned to its normal, tardy ways (35 day-ers. but at least shows has sorted self out post-mc provided I don't get a stupid 7 day LP like last month). anyone want to be non-menkul buddies this month?

Right, got to run for the needles. In my blue car.
