rie like the suggestion to sell all their baybee gear on ebay but think torching it on bonfire might be more therapeutic!

PrincessBoo · 01/11/2010 20:49

Hellooo ladies.

'BESHlene, BESHlene, BESHlene, BESH le-ee-ene, I'm begging of ya please POAS'

Well laydeez of the BESH, today we celebrated our wedding anniversary (sonboo at nursery and we both took annual leave). We went to the hotel where we had our honeymoon night, had a 3 course meal with a free huge glass of vino for twenty quid (each) and went in the pool and spa before coming home. Wanted to do SFF in the experience shower but there were a few other couples there, we did manage a few discreet gropes though! I also talked to MrBoo about my change of mind, he smiled wryly and said he expected it anyway and didn't argue so I think we have a red light here :o

Ariesgirl · 01/11/2010 20:49

Salty how was school? Was it ghastly? I order anyone who's here to engage in chit chat and repartee with me, as the Olds are in the lounge trying to outdo each other in a baffling TV quiz. I haven't got one answer right yet.

WHO'S THERE?

milanomum · 01/11/2010 20:49

I read a great book a while ago called 'The Glass books of the dream eaters'. It reminded me of the kind of adventure books I grew up with, but with added sexiness. It's set in a weird quasi-Edwardian era and is about this young laydee who gets caught up in a crowd of thrill-seeking ruffians.
Reminded me a bit of Jasper FFord's stuff which I also liked.

Ariesgirl · 01/11/2010 20:50

Hey look at that! BooBoo and I posted one second apart!

Ariesgirl · 01/11/2010 20:51

Has anyone read The Glass Palace? It made me really obsess about Burma for a while. I get like that.

milanomum · 01/11/2010 20:52

Oh strangely enough it's sitting on my bookshelf! My mate lent it to me ages ago but I never got round to reading it. It's worth it then?

saltyair · 01/11/2010 20:52

RRRRRRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEE I missed you.

School was predictably mental and a bit shit. I did mange not to cry though.

Boo soz for being crap, but what change of mind?

milanomum · 01/11/2010 20:52

I love the cover of the book if that counts.

milanomum · 01/11/2010 20:53
Ariesgirl · 01/11/2010 20:54

SAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALTS Milano, it's a lovely cover isn't it? If you are interested in a) history b) Asia c)the Empire then it's blardy good. And very sad of course.

InTheSunshine · 01/11/2010 20:54

I joined the library to stop me spending money on shit magazines but I never remember to take my books back on time so I keep getting fines Blush

PrincessBoo · 01/11/2010 20:55

Last book I read that gripped me was 'The Gargoyle' by Andrew Davidson.

Other favourites this year have been 'Shadow of the Wind' and 'The Angels Game' by Carlos Ruis Zafon (although I think I was a litle behind there as most people ahve already read them)

I've read 'glass books' Milano - great book, I felt a little like a voyeur when reading it, I think it does that to you deliberately.

rocketleaf · 01/11/2010 20:57

shoes i'm with you on eat pray love, but disagree on the dragon tat.

fyi wasabi flavour icecream is the BEST flavour evar. FACT. you can even get wasabi cornettos in thailand, that are AMAZE!

I only really read sci fi so unless you like that kind of thing salts i'll keep schtum.

PrincessBoo · 01/11/2010 20:57

No problem Salts am referring to me getting a bit scared about ttc because of money and things on fred before last, I said I was just hanging around to 'cheerlead' but I think we all know I was kidding myself!

Ariesgirl · 01/11/2010 20:58

A voyeur? Is it rude?

Shadow of the Wind is bloody ace too. I think I've said this before but I think the person who translated it from the Spanish deserves as much credit as the original author. It's so easy to make translation absolutely awful!

rocketleaf · 01/11/2010 20:59

boo glad your TTC break was so short lived :O

PrincessBoo · 01/11/2010 21:00

One second apart Ramlady how cool, we are all synchronised tonight :o

1 minute until Richard Armitage Spooks.

Ariesgirl · 01/11/2010 21:00

Anyway must go. Just realised Lucas Spooks is on.

Ariesgirl · 01/11/2010 21:01

OK THAT WAS WEIRD!

milanomum · 01/11/2010 21:02

It's more erotic than full-on rude A and not even overly so. Just enough.
I read a lot of crime novels translated from English to Italian (cos they're cheaper than buying books in English) and there are always things which make me go 'No, I bet that's not what they wrote in the original'. Pisses me off.

PrincessBoo · 01/11/2010 21:03
milanomum · 01/11/2010 21:03

Spooks, eh?

RunLyraRun · 01/11/2010 21:05

So so sorry to hear about the mc milano :(. My buzwams are small/medium but despite that I am AWESOME at snuggling, so please come on in .

Eat pray love is self indulgent SHITE - surely no room for other opinions on this?

Imagine size of my hangover after 5-day birthday? NORMOUS.

I got 6 tickets for Manc late in the day, was wetting myself with excitement. Thank you lovely BESHes for thinking of me. Moley I am going on 10th, how about you?

RunLyraRun · 01/11/2010 21:10

Sorry for weird disconnected thoughts there but am on phone, you know how it is, takes ages and the convo has moved on by time you've finished
