Owlie I was at Manc uni in mid-90's . But only spotted Spider from Corrie, and maybe walked past a footballer in street but I can't really remember any other famous spots bar yucky Mick Hucknall.

T'is Jonathan Rhys Meyers and he's plenty old enough for what I have in mind

PrincessBoo · 26/10/2010 19:32

Now come here for a cuddle. I'm very sorry about your Gran, even when it seems for the best it's still horrible.

Ariesgirl · 26/10/2010 20:45

So sorry Rocket Like Muse says, even when you know it's for the best, it's so sad when you remember them as they were :(. But then it becomes nice to remember.

PrincessBoo · 26/10/2010 21:39

Ocky Please to bribe me first...

LadyGoneGaga · 26/10/2010 21:41

Sorry to hear that Sprocks. It's always sad. Glad to hear TB is on cookie duty and looking after you...he better be after booking snowsports on your birthday. I would demand something rather expensive and sparkly in recompense.

rocketleaf · 26/10/2010 21:50

Hmm, nice shiny b'day pressie for sure gee To be fair he did it by accident. Its a group hol with the lads. Dates were quoted as "end of jan" so he paid up THEN found out they had booked first week of Feb. And we missed out boarding this year cos of my back PLUS its prob the last chance he'll get for a good while so was really only piqued by it for a moment.

boo tell the cake story or I will, and I'll chinese whisper style embellish it, you know I will.

PrincessBoo · 26/10/2010 21:56

I think your version sounds good though leafyrock I'd like to hear it Wink

rocketleaf · 26/10/2010 22:05

haha bluff called. TBH not sure of the exact details but it goes something like this....

One fine day princessboo and all her friends (apart from salad) and their small people, were all gathered together for a lovely cup of tea and some cake. boo had adventurously contributed a 'lovely' courgette and chocolate cake. All her friends were politely chewing (and chewing and chewing) the courgette cake and saying 'mmm, lovely' when along came one of the wee nippers. This precocious young lady took a large bite and then pronounced "oooh that's HORRIBLE!" At which point everyone had to agree.

Out of the mouths of babes...... :o

PrincessBoo · 26/10/2010 22:10

It was bright green. It didn't have any chocolate in it though bigrocks. I was meant to grate the courgette a la carrot cake, instead I just bunged it all in the blender. In my defence I was diffed (thus excsued for being lazy and not grating, grating may have harmed the baybee) and had gestational diabetes - I found it in my diabetic cook book.

Haven't ever tried it out again funnily enough...

Ocarina · 26/10/2010 22:10

courgette and chocolate does sound like an interesting combination.....

Ocarina · 26/10/2010 22:11

cross post re. chocolate. And clearly grating would've been bad for the baby, but I'd've thought the blender would've sorted it. I'll remember that if I ever decide to make courgette cake!

rocketleaf · 26/10/2010 22:13

apparently chocolate and beetroot cake is nice - I have some beetroot so might have to test this theory.

PrincessBoo · 26/10/2010 22:14

Have found a choc / courgette cake or you Ocks Look!

Should have made that one. :o
