Just to make sure we all become members of 'The Christmas Club' I've put something in the wine.... Wink

Just came to lurk and see how you're all doing.

Missflick How're you feeling today? I hope your symptons are promising.

Truff Fingers crossed!!

Tiger I used to use feeling queasy as an excuse if I hated the class.

Florin I hope the test results go well.

Evil Have things settled down for you now?

Anyway, I hope you're all well!!! Grin

JosieSmith1 · 24/11/2010 09:25

Morning all

Just a quick pop in, will catch up when I get home tonight

Work is a nightmare, yard is a nightmare, nothing seems to be going right at the moment. I won't hang around as I don't want to bring the thread down but will catch up tonight and if I'm feeling better I'll say hi.

xx

gardenpixie · 24/11/2010 09:59

Hello all,

Alien I hope your work situation is either looking up (although it sounds like that might be unlikely) or at least that there is light at the end of the tunnel in terms of getting out of it. Would you like the Frolickers to come round and slap your colleagues for you?

MissFlick how are you? I too POAS a couple of times after my HCG shot to see when it got out of my system! It's great that you know it's out though so when you get your BFP you'll know it's for real! In terms of POASing before Monday, I reckon there's no harm it (sorry, I know lots of people are very against POAS early) as long as you keep in mind that a BFN before ERTD is due isn't a BFN, it's just a BFP that hasn't shown up yet Grin I find it more stressful stopping myself from POASing than I do dealing with a BFN ... but I am a little strange that way. Makes me wonder though, once I've had my children so I don't need to P-On-Any-kind-of-Stick-HPT-or-OPK-or-anything ... what will I pee on? Will I still be able to pee if there is no stick to use? Hmm

Hope the progesterone effects are easing up a bit and that you're feeling alright!

Tiger I am going to keep my fingers crossed for you that you ov'd later than you think and that there is a little tiger cub swimming in around looking for somewhere to bed down for the next nine months Grin

Toria Sorry about your BFN, but, as per my post to Flick, I think we should instigate a new rule that we must refer to BFNs that happen before ERTD is due as BFPs that haven't shown up yet! Hang in there! Everything crossed for you Grin

Florin it sounds like you and your DH had a bit of a treck to drop off his swimmers! Great that you are getting things checked out and fingers crossed that they are all fit to be enrolled in the swimmer SAS!

Evil booooo to ERTD Sad Sorry lovely. We are almost cycle buddies this cycle so let's both go onwards and upwards (although obviously that's easier said than done, but you know what I mean). Is it too early for us to nip to the pub for a quick breakfast snifter?

Truff How much did your temp drop? Could it be down to all the vagueries of BBTing? You are probably much more adept than I am at it but I had to stop because I just couldn't do it at the same time every morning before getting up and pottering about a bit! I hope it's just some anomoly; or that it's small enough to mean Trufflet is still in there and your hormones are settling after the first wave of HCG

Cavey That's great that you and DH had a chat about things, and that you have a time in your mind for seeing the Dr. I am sure you will get things sorted faster than it's taken DH and me but one thing I'm really glad about is pushing to see the Dr before they were really interested. According to the NHS, even after 2 1/2 yrs, there was no need to worry as I didn't show classic signs of PCOS apart from, oh, not getting pg! And lovely that you've decided to enjoy Christmas and New Year to the full as well - fingers crossed you'll not need your appt as you'll be pg by then Grin

Roundtable hello how are you doing? I agree that it's really important to enjoy the S bit of SWI and it's so hard to lose that in the quest for little people. Enjoy! Wink

Womanly how are you? I know you're trying not to spend too much time on here at the moment but just wanted to say hi in case you're lurking. I think you said your next appt is in December? Fingers crossed they get things sorted for you

Waves to everyone I've missed, hope you're all well!

Not much news from me - I took my first lot of this cycle's clomid today. It's really crazy that you only get two days to be Sad about ERTD arriving before you're back growing more eggs for the next try!

Have lovely Wednesdays xxx

gardenpixie · 24/11/2010 10:00

PS Josie sounds like you are having a rubbish time. Please have this glass of vodka and orange juice to cheer you up! Seriously though, I hope things improve and do come and rant if you need to xxx

slowshow · 24/11/2010 12:16

Hello girls, SO sorry I haven?t been around. I have been reading though! I kept meaning to open up a Word document and start writing an epic reply to everyone, but I got lazy.

My ovaries are playing games with me this cycle. I usually get a positive OPK on CD 10 and 11 (I have the last two cycles anyway) and for the last four days I?ve had negatives ? I?m now on CD13! Will be interesting to see what I get when I test tonight. I think I am heading for a late ovulation though, because my temps dropped and have stayed low for the last three days, and I had loads of watery CM yesterday. Mysterious?

I don?t know why I?m anxious though, because we haven?t managed any SWIing this week so it?s basically irrelevant. There was a failed attempt on Monday and I tried to make up for it last night but he wanted to go to sleep. Sigh. I was actually quite upset, and I don?t know if it?s the rejection or the missed opportunity. I don?t really mind too much though ? I can keep thinking of good reasons NOT to get pregnant from one cycle to the next. Is it just me who does this? I keep thinking how it?ll be horrible to be in the throes of early pregnancy during Christmas and New Year, and then I have a family party at the end of January and if people saw me not drinking they would guess straight away.

Sorry you?re feeling glum Josie. I?m also a bit hacked off at the moment, can?t really put my finger on exactly why. Just glum.

Cavey - It?s amazing what a new dress can do for the morale!

roundtable - I always get excited by snow as well. Don?t think we?re likely to get any in London though.

Sorry to all those who got ERTD.

Truff - the temp drop must be a total heartsink but you never know?

Hello to everyone else! I promise to be a good girl and keep up with the thread from now on.

gardenpixie · 24/11/2010 14:13

Ooooh ladies, I am excited! This afternoon I will be sitting on the pregnancy chair at work ... it has been responsible for four pregnancies in the team this year. Surely this will result in an instant immaculate conception? Grin

xxgp

slowshow · 24/11/2010 15:06

OMG, you will be pregnant instantly. Guaranteed updiff Grin

gardenpixie · 24/11/2010 16:13

That's what I thought slow ... boobs feeling sorer already [wishful thinking emoticon] xx

ToriaPumpkinHead · 24/11/2010 16:52

Apologies in advance for mememe, but a girl at work announced her (unplanned) pregnancy today so am in the mother of all sulks. There are only six of us (seven if you include the Christmas temp) so we're all fairly close but good God it was hard to paste a smile on my face today. Even harder is that fact that I actually really like the girl. She did let on she was nervous about telling me, as she knows we've been trying, and I'm sure I'm happy for her underneath the strop, but all I want to do now is eat ice cream and drink wine! However, with no sign of ERTD yet wine is out, I should at least pretend I'm sensible I suppose, until tomorrow at least.

Garden Fingers crossed the pregnancy chair does its thing! My manager offered to let me cut her hair as in the last year she has had FIVE different hairdressers as every one of them has gotten knocked up.

Off to mope for a bit, will try to come back and be a grown up later on.

CaveMum · 24/11/2010 18:51

Evening ladies!

Firstly, feel free to rant away Toria. I understand in part how you are feeling. Earlier this year a lady in our office (she works for another company but there are only 10 of us in the whole building) told me she was pregnant. I was very pleased for her but admit that I went home and had a bit of a cry to myself.

Garden I hope that the lucky chair works its magic!

Welcome back slow [waves]

Sooooo, THE DRESS HAS ARRIVED!!! It is gorgeous! I have put two pics up in my profile if you want to be nosey have a look!

It is a tad plunging in the neckline (almost to the navel Shock) but it's nothing that a well-placed brooch won't fix!

We're nearly due our new thread. Who is feeling brave enough to take the challenge?! I must insist that the new title contains "The One Where We Do Our Homework" though Wink!

raspberrytipple · 24/11/2010 19:46

Evening all,

Just thought I would pop in and say hello. Got to get some SWI later as my EWCM is in abundance and I have a stitch pain down my left lower belly so its all systems go tonight and tomorrow morning!!

Cavey glad the new dress arrived!!! It is indeed gorgeous and worth every penny!

Josie sorry things are so crap, i feel your pain hun. Tis this time of year, it's so rubbish!

Slow same to you as with Josie, hope things pick up for you. People can be such arse holes sometimes, no thought for how their behaviour makes others feel

toria I can understand why you feel stroppy, I would be the same. Try to channel your emotions positively and think how nice it will be to go through the pregnancy with her and how much more prepared you will feel because of it when you get preggers. And it sounds like she will be sensitive about it to. Hope you feel better about it soon xx

garden if you have sat in the pregnancy chair at your work you will definitely be instantly pregnant shagging or not!!! We have one at work, when I got my job my new boss was told about it and banned me from going near.... little does he know I sneak a crafty little seat on it every now and then when he's not looking. mmmwwwwaaahhhahahahah (that was an evil laugh BTW) Grin

hope your feeling a bit better soon flick the progesterone sounds like its taking its toll you poor thing. But it will be worth it when you win your baybeeee Smile

Hi to everyone else, including those who have given me a bit of sympathy for my feeling down. DP and I have calmed right down now. we are planning to do something quiet and away from everyone this weekend (prime SWI time I hope having been very pessimistic about it all on Sunday). I am still feeling pretty down and crappy but I have reinstigated my lunch time walks to get me out in the sunshine and I think that is going to help. My lightbox should be here by the weekend too so looking forward to getting that. I am reducing my lurking but what can I say - I Just can't keep away Grin. ttfn xx

TomboyWife · 24/11/2010 20:06

Evening ladies!

Sorry to have been MIA the past few days. It's all been a bit hectic. Someone broke into our car on Saturday night so we got to spend Sunday phoning glaziers. Angry Angry Angry There's also a major deadline looming at work, so I haven't had much time for, well, anything.

hugs to everyone who's feeling down. And it sounds like that's just about everyone. I'm sorry I've fallen behind on everyone's news, but a quick skim suggests it's been a bit crap in general lately.

I'm giggling at the pg chair and the pg haircut though!

I thought I ov'ed stupid early this month, but I now think I'm ov'ing now (which is maybe a touch early, but no longer in ridiculous territory). Had the EWCM, and the last day or two I've been feeling really tender in my lower belly, especially on the right side. I don't normally get ovulation pains, but when I read raspberry's description of the stitch-like cramps I thought, "Yep, that's exactly it."

womanlytales · 24/11/2010 20:09

cavey the dress looks absolutely gorgeous on you... Have a lovely holiday :)

slowshow · 24/11/2010 21:56

Oh my god Cavey you look stunning in that dress! Really gorgeous.

It's ok to mope Toria. Unplanned pregnancies feel worse, don't they?

Sounds like you're doing some sensible things raspberry. Wintry walks are lovely.

Sucks about the car Tomboy Angry

Well you will be pleased to know that my OPK finally went positive - CD13 is late for me! DH is out at the pub with work mates. He said he'd be home by now. Grrrrrr!

gardenpixie · 24/11/2010 21:58

Cavey the dress is STUNNING on you! Really gorgeous - you must be thrilled! I am very Envy of your fabulous Issa-esque figure!

Just a very quick and very memememe post ... DH went to the Drs today to discusss his swimmer situation and she said that our PCT does a part private / part NHS IVF thing ... so we would pay £1,000 for a cycle and then, if we need more cycles than the NHS covers, we would still get a discount because they try to get as many eggs as possible on the NHS-private cycle so all they need to do privately is implant them, not harvest them.

Poor DH has to give up smoking entirely (rather than cutting back to 2 a day)but seems to be fine about it. It means we'll have to wait at least three months though ... and we figured December is a crap time to give up smoking so he'd start in Jan and that means we could be having IVF in early April.

I know that sounds like a long time away but it would mean we'd finally get to do something where the odds are in our favour.

Obvs we went out for dinner to celebrate so i do apologise for drunken posting! See you all tomorrow when I'll be a bit more sober ...

Grin
TigerseyeMum · 24/11/2010 21:59

Evening all. Sorry to post and run but just bobbed on to say the FERTD arrived today after threatening all day yesterday Angry

Ah well...

Garden I am about to start running a group which seems to be a fertile group, much like your fertile chair. So fingers crossed, eh!

The only thing that bothers me is that my cycle gets longer by 1 day each month since coming off the pill. I am not happy about that. I am seeing my GP tomorrow so will check.

I would love to catch up but my eyes are closing and bed beckons...:)

gardenpixie · 24/11/2010 22:00

Oh just read posts from today and Tomboy that's awful about your car, really horrid.

And Toria that is hard. Sending hugs lovely - it will be your turn soon! It will, it will xxxx

gardenpixie · 24/11/2010 22:02

Oooooh Tiger sorry x-post. When you say your cycle gets longer, do you know if it's the follicular phase or luteal phase that is getting longer? If it's the LP then that's good news (although frustrating if it's lengthening your cycle overall).

I hope the GP appt goes well - here's a great big Frollicker G&T for you Grin

TigerseyeMum · 24/11/2010 22:11

Garden I seem to wait longer between ovulation and menstruation. I think.

I bought a thermometer so will start proper charting this month as I can be referred back to my gynae next year if no joy...half the year has almost gone already Shock

I am a bit paranoid that it will be the menopause creeping up on me - I always said I'd be on the pill for 20 years then go straight to menopause! Mind you, I am only 37...

raspberrytipple · 24/11/2010 22:32

Oh I say this is rather exciting, by the time I log in come morning I think we may have a new home! I have nothing creative to suggest for the new thread name though sorry!! However, I can feel in my waters that the next thread will be a successful one.

Anyway, I'm back to ask, quite honestly a gross question. When dp ahh, 'finishes' in me, most of it seems to dribble out and loads more follows if I so much as move a muscle. How am I supposed to get it to stay up there? It feels like nothing will be left. We always finish off doggie Style and if I leave my arse in the air I can keep it up there without losing any but (as much as dp) wud like me too I can't stay like that can I? And any other way it just dribbles (sorry) out. Any advice? What does every one else do? Grin

ToriaPumpkinHead · 24/11/2010 23:17

I'll do the new thread, never started a thread on here before! But first I shall be a grownup and reply to everyone.

First up thank you to everyone who told me to mope and rant away. I felt a bit patheic earlier, but it led to a fairly constructive conversation with the OH who came out with the immortal phrase (after telling me someone gets pregnant every minute and I can't be upset for every minute of every day) that "our minute will come". Then he gave me a tenner and sent me off to watch Harry Potter.

Cavey That dress is gorgeous!

Raspberry Glad things are better at home for you, fingers crossed this weekend is a productive one for you!

Slow Great news about the eventual positive OPK, hope he's home soon!

Tomboy Sucky news about your car, fingers crossed it's sorted soon.

Garden That is exciting, and something to look forward to, and bsaed on this year April will be here before you can blink.

Right, I'm off to start the new thread. Wish me luck!

ToriaPumpkinHead · 24/11/2010 23:20

New Thread!

Truffkin · 24/11/2010 23:30

Hi ladies, just a quick pre-bed post to thank everyone for the votes of confidence and good luck! Temp back up this morning and no ERTD yet so who knows?

Cave dress looks great

Garden am hoping the chair works its' magic

Will be back tomorrow (on a new thread?) to catch up properly
