Just to make sure we all become members of 'The Christmas Club' I've put something in the wine.... Wink

Garden Sorry about the BFN, but it could still be early. Fingers, toes and eyes crossed ERTD stays away chick.

MissFlick enjoy your suppositories! Sorry, they sound not much fun, but I agree they probbaly wouldn't bother with them if they didn't think you'd ovulated and that hormone levels do mental things and can change massively in just a few hours (look at the scores of women who get BFNs at night and then BFPs within twelve hours)

Not much to report here, have some spotting (I NEVER got spotting before we started TTC, what's it about?!) which makes me think ERTD might be putting in an early appearance this month. Not too stressed as was already convinced I hadn't ovulated so a short luteal phase is just fine by me, means we get onto next month and my all singing, all dancing, all forgetting about things that piss me off December Grin

MissFlick · 21/11/2010 09:49

Morning All,

Hope everyone is having nice relaxing Sundays.

Sorry your dress has been removed cave :( I'm sure there is one waiting just around the corner. I'll keep an eye out for you!

garden how are you my dear? Are you retesting today? I'm really craving crumpets now. MMMM, I've not had one in ages.

Nice to see you womanly how are you doing lovely?

Thanks for your advice HH- I'm thinking of you and hope you have good news tomorrow xx

karstan have you had your consultant's appointment yet?Hope you're feeling ok and that those iron levels are rising.

Thanks for the good wishes with the suppositories toria They have been ok so far (they are quite small!) but I think they are giving me a few nasty side effects- boo. Sorry about your spotting, any chance it could be a nice implantation bleed?Just checked the list, it could be?!!Your December sounds fab- just the way I want mine to be!

Good luck with the ovving tomboy- early ovulation will mean a nice short cycle this month.

lanky- hope you've had a productive packing weekend!

josie hope you got some SWI in :)

I've had a nice relaxing Sunday, working my way through series 6 of Desperate Housewives. Only four episodes to go now! I am getting some strange symptoms but I am sure that they are a result of either the HCG injection or my progesterone tablets so am trying to ignore them.

Morning all

Super quick post with the list! No ERTD but am keeping myself busy with housework and curtain making so I don't obsess!

Won't test again for a few days and just see what happens...

Hope you're all well!

xxx

ToriaPumpkinHead · 21/11/2010 11:42

Cave Completely missed the news about your dress, gutted! You're right though, millions of replicas will pop up soon, I heard in work yesterday that replicas of the ring are already available in a certain high st jewellers!

Flick I had been trying very hard not to think like that lol. We'll see, I had managed to get a few days behind myself in my head so didn't realise I was on day 26 yesterday. We'll see. Either way I am going to enjoy December!

Glad your suppositories weren't too awful, I've only had to use them once, for a nasty case of thrush that just would not pass, and I seem to remember it being a bi undignified but bearable. Sucky about the funny side effects though. Everything crossed it's worth it and there's a Mini Flick at the end of it all Grin

Morning Garden Enjoy your curtain making, very jealous of your skills, I did dressmaking training when I was younger and can sew darts, do hems, take in dresses with side zips and do buttonholes but I can NEVER get curtains straight. Ever. Kudos! Grin

ToriaPumpkinHead · 21/11/2010 11:43

I of course mean I had a couple of glasses of wine last night, I'm not a complete lush, honest!

raspberrytipple · 21/11/2010 16:57

Evening girls,

No news much from me, have had a pretty crap weekend. Had a good night out Friday but had an awful hangover yesterday. Had a horrendous row with DP this morning and subsequently cried for hours, he said he wanted me to leave so he could have a break and it went downhill from there. However, we had a long chat and we've made up but I just feel like shit to be honest.

Definately feeling like I have SAD so going to get a light box, all I've done is want to cry and pick on DP just to get a reaction. I can feel myself doing it and I know it's me but I just can't seem to stop myself. So... I am going get back to the gym and walking at lunch time and kick my dreadful internet habit so might not be on much over the next few weeks in order to sort myself out. DP is starting to get to the end of his tether with me I think so I seriously need to sort myself :(

I will of course keep you updated if I get any BFP action but DP doesn't like me too much at the moment so I doubt there will be a great deal of SWI for a while.

Sorry for the me me me but I just needed of off load xx

womanlytales · 21/11/2010 18:53

garden great to hear you are keeping busy and are resolved not to test Stay strong and I have everything crossed as do all the other girls here that this is your month..and we have no reason to think otherwise because all your signs are just wonderful. Even the 'large dose of crazy' is a great sign I remember mrswajs doing a rant just a day or so before she saw her bfp... Lovely things these hormones in us :) Have a lovely week and hope you find as many things to keep you busy as possible :)

gardenpixie · 21/11/2010 18:58

Oh Raspberry that is horrid for you. I hope you are OK and that you can find some time to look after yourself. I'm glad that you and Mr Raspberry made up but it must have been very upsetting for you. Understand that you need to take time out from cyberspace but I am sending positive vibes nonetheless and we are all here if you need us!

Toria how Confused that the spotting has stopped. I'm with MissFlick - do you think it could be implantation spotting? I am in awe of your dressmaking skills - I only learnt to do curtains and cushions ... at a push I can do a basic skirt but that's about it! Shout if you ever want to trade clothes for curtains!

Josie I hope you managed some SWI-ing!

MissFlick I hope the progesterone is doing its trick and that you are feeling OK post the trigger shot?

Cavey were you watching Strictly last night? I was thinking of you when I watched it (I usually don't get a chance to see it) and wondered if you agreed with the judges' critique of it all? Must be fascinating to watch it when you are all knowledgeable about dance moves.

TriphasicTruffler how are you? Are your temps still being textbook pg? I hope so!

Waves to everyone else, I hope your weekends have all gone well.

For a change, tonight in the Three Follicles, whisky macs are being handed out liberally to warm our cockles on this Sunday evening ... dig in!

I had some spotting today so I think ERTD is on its way Sad DH and I have started to look into IUI and IVF - the costs are frightening! I have three months more of clomid before we have to look at other options so we are really hoping it won't come to that, otherwise we'll have to send the pets out to work to pay for it.

Anyone fancy renting a slightly smelly but very wiggly dog and a fairly haughty cat? They are both excellent at stealing dairy goods from the table and getting in the way. Any takers? No? Really? Oh well...!

Right, off to stoke the fire and plan how to spike DH's drink with zinc supplements

xxxx

womanlytales · 21/11/2010 18:59

Hope you feel better raspberry - sounds like you're got a lot on your plate. Big hug and passing you my share of those lovely crumpets garden shared.

I too have gone light on mumsnet -- helps me not 'think' too much about what's going on and instead trust the natural intelligence of my body...if ANY of that makes sense ;)

Also like DH told me a few days back ...at first it was just the two of us ..and then will come along all the others - babies et al...

so it will be fun figuring out all the stuff that will get you back to living the best life with your DP.

Toria strangeness with the spotting - hope it's a sign of something good around the corner :)

Flick Hope the side effects are now gone..fingers crossed for you too :)

Our frolicker bfps are just around the corner, I am sure of it.

gardenpixie · 21/11/2010 18:59

x-posts womanly ! Thank you for your sage advice ... if ERTD doesn't arrive, I will definitely hold off testing for as long as possible!

How are you doing? I hope you are well and had a lovely weekend? xxx

CaveMum · 21/11/2010 20:19

Evening all

Welcome back to both raspberry and alien, sorry you have both had a rubbish time of late. This TTC lark can be so stressful at times that we tend to take it out on those closest to us.

Garden keeping fingers crossed that the spotting is nothing.
I did watch SCD last night, they were dancing two of my favourite dances - Samba and American Smooth.
It is fun to watch with a bit of "inside" info, if you like, but I think I get on DH's wick when I'm shouting saying to the TV things like "Sloppy arms!" and "That's not a Botofogo"!

On other matters it seems I am now the proud owner of an Issa dress Grin.
You've got to love EBay! I've picked up a beautiful, brand new, emerald green silk jersey dress for less than half its original price!
It is not THE dress, but it is not too dissimilar.

When it arrives I promise I'll put a photo up on my profile.

Happy Sunday all!

Morning All,

Hope everyone is ok today and there are no sore heads after gardens whiskey macs!

toria I am envious of your dress making skills! Sorry I brought up the subject that you were trying to ignore...Biscuit Hope you had a lovely festive day yesterday- what films did you watch? I downloaded a new Christmas album on to my phone so I could listen to it when I run- that is sad!

raspberry you poor love :( I?m glad that you and your DP have sorted things out, sometimes it helps to have a big blow up and then you can talk things through. I think your strategies sound like good ones and hope they help you to feel better honey.

garden hope the spotting has cleared up this morning- I still have everything crossed for you, even my legs at this stage in the month! Your pets sound divine and if I wasn?t so far away I would rent out your doggy :)

Thanks for your well wishes womanly how are you getting on? Your DH sounds very lovely and wise .

Nice to see you back alien bet you are counting down the days until the Christmas holidays! What will you be doing after Christmas?

Cave the dress sounds gorgeous and I actually think that emerald green is a much nicer colour than THE dress. You are going to look fab! I love it when an E-Bay plan comes off! Looking forward to seeing the photographs :)

I spoke to my doctor today as I was worried that my low progesterone level meant that I hadn?t ovulated. She told me that I had definitely ovulated as anything above 10 indicates ovulation. However, for a medicated cycle where the intended outcome is pregnancy they like the level to be 20-25. I feel happier after speaking to her as I?m not worried about my progesterone level being low as I know that the tablets will help that, I was just worried that I hadn?t even ovulated. The suppositories are making me feel a bit bleughhh to be honest. I have to take two in the morning and two at night and each one is 100mg so I am having 400mg of progesterone a day which sounds like rather alot! I have to take them for seven days so will not finish them until Saturday :( They are making me feel a bit sick and making my stomach feel ?squiggly? is the best way to describe it! I must keep myself busy in the last week of my 2ww so I don?t go crazy.

Sending festive thoughts your way :) xxx

Morning all,

MissFlick sorry the progesterone is making you feel lousy. I hope you can take things easy and look after yourself a bit this week. It's great news that you definitely ov'd though - hurrah! And you'd done your homework on time so fingers crossed!

Cavey most excellent work on the dress! Looking forward to seeing pics Grin

Well, as suspected, the spotting turned into ERTD Sad So three years and counting it is ....

Feeling pretty rubbish about it but not much that can be done.

Hope everyone's week is off to a good start xxx

CaveMum · 22/11/2010 08:23

Morning all.

Thanks for the supportive posts about the dress - DH gave me a Hmm face when I told him how much it cost! I tried the "it's an investment piece" speech but I don't think blokes get that argument Grin

garden sorry that ERTD got you. Glad you are trying to keep a positive outlook.

Flick sorry the progesterone pills are making you feel icky. Just keep telling yourself that the magic little line on a PG test will be worth it Grin

Looking at the list we appear to have a number of ladies coming up to testing time - the thread still has time yet!

Happy Monday everyone!

LankyLegs · 22/11/2010 08:59

Hello All

Sorry for not being around - work is totally shite and am putting plan of action into finding something else.

Anyway - I just wanted to say hello to all and sorry garden about ERTD - I don't know what to say ... I will stop moping about being on cycle 14 when you are now on 3 years and always so positive and wonderful to everyone. You be good to yourself today and I insist you take this platter of truffles from me xx

Flick sorry about the progesterone. Its proper hardcore hormones so take it easy chica.

Sorry about lack of personal response. Have been lurking on and off.

Will be back for proper catch up soon.

L xx

MissFlick · 22/11/2010 11:48

Oh I'm sorry about ERTD garden :( Sending big hugs your way. Like lanky said you are always so positive and lovely to us all. I wish there was something that we could do to make you feel better :(

cave thanks for your belief in my unlucky thread Grin54 posts left in which to get a BFP! Come on ladies :)

Lovely to see you lanky so sorry work is crap but glad that you are still with us and that you are putting a plan of action in place to find something else. Is everything still on track for the weekend and the move?Your FC appointment is coming up soon too isn't it?

I had a nice time catching up with my sister on Friday and a drunken fun night out with the girls on Saturday. Got home at a reasonable time yesterday to catch up on reality TV and have a snuggle on the sofa.

Garden I'm so, so sorry about ERTD arriving. I hope you have loads of nice things planned to treat yourself and focus on something else for a little while whilst you get your head round another month. At least you are supported by a good medical process and you seem to have been getting good contact with your consultant. Huge for you and also a cheeky snifter of bourbon to perk you up this afternoon Wink

Welcome back Alien nice to see you. Sorry things have been rubbish for you but your new approach sounds very positive. The countdown to end of term starts here Grin

Raspberry sorry you are having a hard time at the moment. I know how challenging dealing with SAD can be, but light box treatment has worked wonders for me and we invested in a dawn simulator alarm clock, which is great. There are cheap options available, how about this for a starter? Sending

Hi Toria I'm adding myself to the list of Frolickers Envy of your dress making skills! It would be so great to make things that fit perfectly and are different to what everyone else is wearing.

Flick sorry the suppositories are making you feel Confused but fingers crossed it will all be worth it when you get your BFP soon!

Well I'm now 12 DPO and ERTD due by Friday. I've been trying to keep the mental to a minimum and have managed to maintain a sense of detatchment from counting days for the most part. I've had a couple of passing feelings of, ooh I just felt a bit nauseous, wonder if it's a sign?! Have also indulged in a little boob-poking and can report slightly more tenderness than usual on inspection Grin

I'm actually after your opinions on testing (if ERTD doesn't appear in the meantime) as we are going to Ireland on Friday for a very big family get together. If I test before Friday morning I can't help but think that a BFN would make me quite miserable and put a dampner on the weekend (especially as we're travelling with pg SIL and their 2 kids)and if by magic it were a BFP, I'd really struggle to keep it to myself and it would VERY obvious that I wasn't drinking for 3 nights. I'm kind of leaning towards waiting until Monday morning to test, as we head home that afternoon and I'll be able to spend the afternoon dealing with the result before work on Tuesday.

I know this is all supposition for now and you guys will want me to test before Monday Wink but I'm not sure what to do. Confused

Truff if I were you I'd try to hold out until Monday to test.
As you say if you test on Friday and it is N you will be grumpy and if it is P you'll be trying hard to hide it.

Try (easier said than done) to put it to the back of your mind so you can enjoy the weekend.

If you get a BFP (which I'm sure you will) on Monday just remember not to feel guilty about enjoying yourself - we've all agreed that a few bottles glasses of wine this early in a pregnancy won't have a major effect.

Fingers and toes crossed for you!

Thanks ladies for your kind thoughts - and Truff I think I will have that snifter, thank you! Wink

Truff I reckon you should wait until Monday. Then when you get your BFP, you can choose when to tell people and not have to deal with Hmm looks when you turn down that second pint of wine with breakfast

Nausea and sore boobs sound vvv promising though - I have a feeling you'll be making your way to the grads list by the end of the thread!

Lanky thank you for the truffles, they will go nicely with this snifter and the entire saucepan small glass of mulled wine I am contemplating for with lunch. And please don't worry about getting grrrrr with being on cycle 14 just cos of my rubbish predicament - I know it must be really frustrating for you and I really hope this is your lucky cycle!

As soon as we realised there were issues on both sides for us, I figured it would take us a while, I guess I am now just impatient because we have managed to fix so many things since we started TTC and I foolishly keep thinking that we should therefore be given a baby instantly; whereas in reality we have just been able to give ourselves the same chance as people who don't have any fertility issues so I just need to accept that it could still take us a while.

MissFlick thanks lovely, actually just being able to rant and whine on here is a real lifeline (although probably not that fun for everyone else to put up with!). And seeing so many people get their BFPs has been a real boost as it's good to be reminded that it can and does happen.

Right, best get back to work

xxxx gp

Thanks ladies, I knew I could rely on you guys to give me permission to drink at the weekend keep me sane and advise me to wait!

Garden although I'm nowhere near where you are in terms of time invested, I do feel like the time it took for us to get to a position where I was having (relatively) normal cycles so we could keep an eye on timings etc, was so frustrating! If I'd had normal cycles from the start we would have now had 13 chances to conceive instead of the measly 5 we have actually had.

I'm hoping this is the one (although simultaneously trying to keep my excitmenet in check)

CaveMum will absolutely be planning to enjoy the weekend (although within more reason than I usually apply Grin) and am almost pleased I've got something to take my mind off things, plus will be able to drown my sorrows properly if ERTD does arrive.

dear garden - terribly sorry about ertd... Love the idea of mulled wine at lunch.. I can't believe I haven't got myself any yet...what am I waiting for the summer?????
I agree with the other girls that your attitude is fab and an inspiration to me. I really hope that you get your bfp within the 3 cycles. As you said, you're in that last leg to the finish line -- I really wish you the very best.

Am doing well - have reduced the amount of time I spend thinking about ttc and it's certainly a big relief. ERTD cost me two of those huge sundaes... and you can just imagine what that's doing to my weight loss regime!!! ERRR but on the good side, I've picked up running again since Friday and this week we're going for a Bikram Yoga session in Canary Wharf -- signed up for my first groupon(Have you tried that?) voucher and got it..so a friend and I are going to try it out. We're waiting for a groupon voucher for high tea and planning to get all the girls to sign up... I'd love to do one with you ladies too..if the Gordon Pub thing doesn't pan out, of course :)
