Hi, ertd is here and ovulation did not happen since my rt ovary is now home to a juicy cyst. Now need to wait till Dec 15 for appt with consultant for next steps. Will take a few days to digest all this. Will be lurking for your bfps :) tons of baby dust to u all.

TigerseyeMum · 16/11/2010 20:25

Oh hiss and boo for cyst Angry

Still waiting for FERTD here...lots of talk about careers at work today, and all I could think was...maternity leave, maternity leave Wink

TomboyWife · 16/11/2010 21:56

Sorry to hear about the cyst womanly. I hope the consultant has some good plans for you on the 15th, but boo at having to wait til then. Sad

I'm making a concerted effort to be more chilled and lead a healthier lifestyle in hopes of coaxing my cycle back to regularity. It was all going so well too, until this evening when my colleagues and I went to the pub. hic! Blush

Oh, and DH agrees with all of you that another visit to the GP is in order, even if I just get fobbed off. Oh, and DH still needs to go for the sperm analysis he was referred for three months ago. No, we've not been terribly organised round our way recently. Blush Blush

MissFlick · 17/11/2010 02:50

Oh no :( I just wrote a lovely long post with links to all of my new clothes that I bought during yesterday's procrastination and I lost it! Rubbish- I don't have time to do it now but I'm sure you wouldn't be interested in my shopping addiction anyway!

I will try and post more later but for now I just wanted to send love to womanly. I'm so sorry that you now have a cyst to contend with. Hopefully when you visit the consultant on the 15th Dec it will be gone. Something good is waiting just around the corner for you sweetheartxxxxxx

Waves to all :) Happy hump day ! xxx

JosieSmith1 · 17/11/2010 14:00

I would be interested Miss Flick Smile

Happy hump day!

gardenpixie · 17/11/2010 15:35

Did someone say shopping ? I'd definitely be interested MissFlick !

Womanly sorry to hear about the cyst. How very frustrating for you - I hope it will have sorted itself out by the time you see the Drs next.

Tomboy don't worry- it took Mr G 9 months to get his act together for his SA. I tried not to nag him but by the end I was going crazy!

Josie glad you to hear you are going to crack on and not take a break - surely the universe must reward that kind of tenacity with a BFP!

Toria glad you were properly pampered - definitely well deserved!

Tiger it will be your turn to talk maternity leave very soon!

Waves to everyone else!

Not much to report from me. Absolutely nothing in fact. 12 DPO and nothing! Really odd as usually by this point in my cycle I have really sore boobs but I am completely devoid of any symptoms at all ... oh well, I guess it wasn't meant to be our month! If ERTD doesn't show up on Saturday, I might consider some POAS action but I'm not holding out much hope given complete lack of symptoms!

Freshly made martinis all round xxx

CaveMum · 17/11/2010 18:01

Evening all! Did someone say shopping?!

I have to admit I've been desperately googling discount Issa dresses all day (I lurve the dress that our-future-queen wore for the engagement announcement yesterday), but alas it is hard to find any under £100!

You may have noticed that I have reverted to my old nickname as lots of people are adding "HRH" in front of theirs in light of yesterday's news and I don't want people thinking I'm jumping on a bandwagon, even if it IS my distant cousin that is getting married Wink

raspberrytipple · 17/11/2010 20:16

Evening all,
I cannot believe how quickly this week is going. We had our inspection today and did well, very relieved! Hopefully it will all calm down a little at work now, it's been a full on four weeks for us it really has!

I also can't believe I'm on cycle day 5 already! Had a SWI last night but I have to confess I feel the need for much more but DP is working hard at the moment so is sooo tired. I had to bully him last night and he doesn't like to be moaned at too much or he gets narky. I may have to get the shag pants out for a few days on the trot to tempt him.

Cavey I had noticed you have changed your name... a wise decision I feel although I am very excited about the royal wedding - I do hope we get a whole day off work and yes that dress was super stunning, she is beautiful. When do you think you will get your invitation to the wedding Grin

garden don't you just love it when your cycle decides to go and change how it shows itself. My boobs used to kill me just before my period when I was on the pill but ever since I've been off the pill its been virtually nothing, a bit sore and the odd pain but nowt compared to what it used to be like!!

tomboy Ive had exactly the same thoughts about the healthy eating but not so much for cycle regulation although mine is all erratic at the moment but not as bad as it could be. I just need to start looking after myself a bit because I'm so lazy and greedy. However, being healthy is soooo hard. I just wish chocolate was one of the five a day, I'd be fine then Sad

Womanly sorry to hear that you didn't ovulate and about the cyst. Hopefully the consultant will be able to give you a clear way forward, fingers crossed for you hun x

tiger I know that feeling of thinking, I don't give a toss, I want to be on maternity leave..... eek, been getting it a lot lately. We will get our maternity leave soon!

Glad to hear you are battling on Josie I think you are doing the right thing. There is never a good time and whenever it happens life will happen around it and LO will be the most important thing in your life. Ohh get me all sentimental, I'm in a real funny mood at the moment!

Sorry to hear about your car Toria, cars are a nightmare. I love and loath mine all at the same time. Shes a few years old now but doesn't really need a lot of maintenance but I hate driving and she does have little quirks that make her not so fun to drive. Luckily I live close to town and work so need to drive very little but big bills just before Christmas are not good.

missflick it has been a rather disappointing thread for BFPs, but you had a lot to live up to after the tremendous success of the last one so don't be too hard on yourself!!!

florin good luck for DH on Friday! I am curious. Do men do the eeerrrrr business Hmm in a room with you or on their own, do they get magazines or do you have to do it at home then take it in? Confused sorry I'm being nosey but I am thinking that if I start getting on to the doctor it might be one of the first things they ask us to do so I would like to be able to forewarn DP!

highheels how are you doing hun? Hope everything is going well, you won't be the irritating pregnant poster - I'm a bit scared to look in on the grads thread but like to know how the preggers club are getting on so do check in every now and then!!! xxx

Hello to Dessie truffkin Slow Kartsan and Kaloki along with anyone else I have forgotten!!

I am bored at the moment, I think I may have that SAD. I'm fed up of it being dark when I go to work and dark when I get back. I can't get motivated to do anything with my evenings. My skin is really dry and cracked and horrible. It's wet, cold and there always seems to be something happening on the weekends that mean DP and I don't get to spend much quality time together, by that I mean we are together but we haven't been communicating much and that always freaks me out a little. Not arguing at all but I like lots of cuddles and long chats you know? Will have to sort ourselves out this weekend I think. So all in all I'm feeling a bit bloody miserable to be fair. Must boot self up arse Sad.

roundtable · 17/11/2010 20:43

Hi Ladies, haven't looked in for a while. I'm with raspberrytipple about the SAD, I reckon I'm feeling it too!

Another baby born today which is brilliant but with the 'updates' of scans etc I'm having a moment of feeling rather inadequate...anyway, onwards and upwards, DH is know home which is fab! Such a busy couple of months though, need the new year to come so everything quietens down again!

Hope everyone is ok, I haven't read all of the posts yet, just about to go and do that Smile

garden I have told you that lack of normal symptoms is the best symptom you can have! It means that your body is acting differently to normal because of all of the hormones that mini garden is throwing out. I'm looking forward to you testing on Saturday- no spotting so far is a great sign too! Thanks for the martini :)

Epic post raspberry Love it! When Mr.Flick did his SA he did it in the bathroom at home and then we had an hour and a half to get the pot to the place. It was quite an adventure I have to say! Sorry you are feeling the effects of SAD- I always find this time in the run up to Christmas very busy with lots going on too. I hope you get some quiet time for you and Mr.Raspberry this weekend. Thanks for consoling me about my unlucky thread GrinWe still have 113 posts to go so hopefully we can sneak another couple of BFPs in before the end!

Hi round glad your DH is home! Now you can get cracking! I'm with you on the announcements :( We WILL get there one day and because we had to work harder for our BFPs they will be even more special to us- that's what I tell myself anyway!

I have just had a quick google and looked for what Kate wore to the engagement announcement- she looks beautiful and the dress is lush cave perhaps you should treat yourself to a new party frock?! Wink Hope all is going well with uni and salsa.

josie has the new girl started yet? Hope work is k and it's not too hard to train her up :)

Well, seeing as you insist josie, cave and garden
here are someof my purchases! Blush I needed new clothes to wear when I am at home at Christmas! All of my clothes that I wear here are far too summery and un suitable for an English Christmas party season! I'm so excited to come home- it's less than a month until I'll be back in England, Yippee!!

The end of the week is approaching- thank god! xxx

OP posts:
gardenpixie · 18/11/2010 10:32

Morning everyone, happy Thursdays all round.

Cavey I think it would be unpatriotic and disrespectful to your close relatives, the Windsors, not to buy at least one lovely Issa dress to celebrate Wills & Kate's engagement. And some new shoes and a bag to go with it, obviously!

Raspberry the dog end of the year is tricky isn't it. I loathe the time between the clocks going back and mid January ... horrid. I think the only way to get through it is to have long lie-ins and buy sparkly jewellery (or have it bought for you) so what little light there is bounces around to make itself seem bigger! You are right about our bodies trying to trick us (or my body trying to trick me!) - there's always something to catch us out!

Roundtable hello, how are you? Great that DH is home. Hope you have some time to relax in the midst of your busy things.

MissFlick a definite A++ for your shopping - it all looks lovely! And the colours you've chosen are gorgeous, pretty and chic all at the same time. I covet the shrug in particular!

Rather frustratingly I have absolutely nothing to report although I am now c.13DPO. I am starting to wonder if I am as far down the line as I think. I think I must have ov'd around the 5th or 6th (HCG shot on the 5th) and I know I had definitely ov'd by the 10th when I had my scan but maybe I ov'd on the 8th or 9th which would then put me at 9 or 10 DPO hence no symptoms Confused But I don't think it's v likely not to ov within 36hrs of an HCG shot if you have an egg ready to go. WHY didn't I become a gynaecologist, then I'd know all the answers!

The other thing I was thinking is that the clomid and the HCG shot must have overloaded my body so much with hormones that what used to cause PMS must now seem like a drop in the ocean which could be why I'm not feeling anything.

Oh well - I might be Confused but ERTD hasn't started so there's still a chance I suppose! Last cycle it was pretty much underway by now so at least my luteal phase is longer this time round

Trying not to POAS until I am officially late if ERTD doesn't turn up on schedule tomorrow / Saturday.

Couldn't my uterus just text / email me to let me know what's going on...?

Anyway, just realised I've taken up far too much of the thread on my own personal bonkers conkersness so will now retreat to go mad and silently climb the walls.

OR I could go online and buy shoes ...

xxxx

gardenpixie · 18/11/2010 13:15

oh no, where is everyone? did I scare you all off with my memememe post?

xxx Smile

CaveMum · 18/11/2010 13:32

Garden waffle away! That's what this thread is for!

Thanks for the vote of support, though I think I will have to restrict myself to a secon-hand one off EBay! There are two exact dresses on there at the moment (one in my size, argghh!) but the bidding is already above £300! much as I love "my" family, I'm not sure if DH will be terribly impressed!

Keeping fingers firmly crossed that ERTD stays away.

Where is everyone these days?!

gardenpixie · 18/11/2010 14:18

Cavey hurrah you're here! Gosh if the bidding for the dress is already £300 I shudder to think where it will eventually end up!

How is your salsa going? When is your next class? xx

MissFlick · 18/11/2010 14:27

I'm here too but just off to bed. I loved your lovely post and think a poas is required on Saturday :) will chat tomorrow when it will be Friday! Woooo woo

OP posts:
CaveMum · 18/11/2010 15:15

garden they've put a "Buy It Now" for £2,000!!!!! I'll be surprised if someone goes for that.

Salsa is ok, ticking over. Next class is tonight.
I've decided not to bother paying for advertising at the moment as most people will be thinking about Christmas and New Year. I will wait until January then start plugging it as much as I can - we tend to pick up quite a few new people in January as lots of people decided to learn to dance as a New Year's Resolution.

gardenpixie · 18/11/2010 16:17

Ooooooh, £2,000??? wowsers

New Year salsa ads sound like a good idea; I think it's amazing that you are doing it!

[dancing emoticon] Grin

TomboyWife · 18/11/2010 20:29

Evening ladies!

garden I think you're entitled to a mememe post or dozen. I think we're all entitled to a mememe post or dozen. Here's to ERTD staying away!

Cavey I'm completely Shock at the idea of anyone paying £2,000 for a dress. Or even of someone thinking anyone might pay £2,000 for a dress.

Not much going on here. ERTD is pretty much over and I've been having that metallic taste today, very faintly, so I think it's time to get down to some SWI action. (I read somewhere that the metallic taste can be caused by a hormone surge, which fits with the times in my cycle when I've noticed it. I'm choosing to interpret today's instance of it as the post-ERTD oestrogen rise.)

maamalady · 18/11/2010 21:59

Hey all, just checking in. Day 24 and 6 DPO today. Nearly the end of this cycle then, if not pregnant - we shall see!

Hope everyone's doing well :)

MissFlick · 19/11/2010 03:14

Happy Friday everyone! :)

garden I think you're right in your post about your hormones being overloaded by the Clomid and the HCG injection. I think that we have to just discount our 'normal' signs as we are so overloaded with different medication that what normally happens is probably masked. That being said, I still insist that having no signs is a good sign! I know what you mean about wishing you knew the exact day you ovulated- at least you have a smallish window to play with thanks to your scan. I am sure that you would have ovulated within the 36 hour window as your egg was ready to go! I laughed lots at the thought of your uterus texting or calling you to let you know what's going on! Grin wouldn't that be so handy and save us all of these hours of wondering?! I have my progesterone test tomorrow so I really hope that it shows I have ovulated [hopeful emoticon] or I won't know what to think. Are you going to POAS today or tomorrow? Oh and thanks for your praise on my purchases- glad you approve!

tomboy interesting about the metallic tatse! I didn't know what it was caused by, just that it was a well known sign of pregnancy. have you booked an appointment at the doctors yet?!

Hi evil, nice to see you. Really pleased that your cycle seems to be regulating it's self well

cavey good plan about captialising on the new year's resolution people! You are a shrewd business woman!

Hope you're doing ok womanly- I'm thinking of you xxx

Big weekend waves to everyone- hope you all have lots of lovely things planned xxx

Hi MissFlick I am going to try to be strong and POAS tomorrow as I could still have the residual bits of my trigger shot in my system so don't want to do anything until I know it's all gone.

Then I might stock up on superdrug tests - the way I see it, tomorrow I'll be between 15 and 10 DPO so if I get five, I should be covered for a daily POAS. Yes, I know that's excessive but I thought if I do it every day, I can allot 10 mins of fretting in the morning and then forget about it until the next day!

Hope your P test goes well!

Hello everyone else, hope you're all having good Fridays!

No news from me again: absolutely no symptoms in sight; not even a flicker on the horizon ...

Grin xxx

JosieSmith1 · 19/11/2010 10:27

Hi everyone, just checking in, hope everyone is ok, promise I'll read up on all the new posts at some point today.

No news here, just very very busy at work, still no news on new yard, or new girl at work Confused

ToriaPumpkinHead · 19/11/2010 11:08

Garden That is exactly why I have a bag of cheap tests :D Everything crossed lovely.

Cavey I laughed a lot at the prospect of the £2000 dress, are people really that mad?! Hope you find one (for a slightly more reasonable price) Also agree it would be patriotic of you to own one Grin

MissFlick I adore some of your new clothes. I covet muchly! I put on my party dress last night so mum could help me take it in and was very gratified by OH's reaction, he's usually not a huge fan of my dressing up clothes! Grin

Raspberry I get SAD, it's started kicking in quite late this year for me which is a blessing. My reflexologist did recommend me an essential oil for dealing with it, not sure if that's your kind of thing? Other things I end to find help are lighting candles, the softer light seems to take the edge off, not drinking too much (which I am not sticking to very well atm), going out for a walk in my lunch, just to get outside for a bit and reading like a fiend.

Not much news here other than I stupidly decided (after a glass of wine) to try and talk to my mum again last night. She told me she doesn't believe in temp charting (IT'S SCIENCE MUM) and then started repeating "A year, a year it took me, a year." So I got another glass of wine and effecively dropped it. She also showed me the photos from the sites of the fires I told you about at the end of September. It's really quite terrifying how badly damaged everything is Confused so a bit of an emotional night. I did start smiling again last night for the firt time in a while, but I think that was more to do with a few decisions I made about a few friends yesterday afternoon! I think the phrase "Removing the dead wood. With a machete." Was the most amusing way it was put hehehe...

Not really thinking much about TTC, have a vague idea when to expect ERTD but am sticking very well to my chilling out and enjoying having sex with the prospect of getting pregnant rather than diligently only having sex to get pregnant. Boy is much happier with this arrangement (as he showed me last night Blush
