flick Good to hear about your shot and all the timed swi All things crossed for you. Related to your q on running - I haven't done any reading into what it means wrt progesterone levels... so don't know about that. They do say that Running can be a bit too stressful for pregnancy..and so the caution that you probably read in my words IE I tend to run forever and to the point of exhaustion once I get my period..because I can afford and not to worry it might dislodge an early pregnancy!! I think it's more a silly fear in me than anything grounded on serious research. The thing is though about running - keep hydrated..so have sips of water when you need it and remember to run at apace where you're able to have a conversation of some sorts.. and you should be ok :)
tomboy and lanky - sorry about ertd showing up. I am also waiting for ertd to show given my test results et al..so that I can get onto the the first half of the cycle than be in this second dreaded half!!!

Having said that - I've got symptoms galore...not a day has passed in this last week when I had two low progesterone tests where I haven't felt like I am just about ovulating..or that implantation is happening -- I am certainly delusional, running past the 'Welcome to loony la la land' sign.. I need that horsey treatment where hopefully they can keep me sedated during the second half of my cycle!!!!

Anybody poasing this week?

HRHCavey · 15/11/2010 07:15

Morning ladies, rather a chilly one here in deepest darkest Suffolk!

Flick keeping everything crossed that your SWI-athon has done the trick.

Lanky - ooo imminent house move! Hope it is as low-stress as possible.
No sign of ERTD, thanks for asking. But I'm proud to say I have NO IDEA what cycle day I'm on Grin! No point in making myself feel worse! I will make another reflexology appt soon and plan in heading back to the GP in the New Year if there is still nothing - it will have been 6 months by then.

We had a fab wknd, spending Saturday in London with family. We did the British Museum then had several bottles of wine in a bar called Gordon's near Embankment tube - it is tiny and the seating area is an old cellar under the river! It is lit by candles and you often get dripped on!

We then had dinner at Joe Allen, which was very good, but more a diner than a restaurant. Apparently a lot of theatre-types eat there, but we didn't see any slebs!
Next time we go they are going to book a table at The Ivy for the pre-show sitting at 5.30pm.

Must dash, our builder is delivering our new front door soon and I'm still sat about in my PJ's.

Fingers crossed for successful SWI-ing and POAS for all!

Florin · 15/11/2010 07:31

cavey glad you had a lovely weekend. We love gordon's so can be regularly found there!
lanky good luck with the house move!
Can't believe it's Monday again so don't want to go to work!

HRHCavey · 15/11/2010 08:08

Florin whenever we stay with DH's uncle and his wife they always take us to Gordon's. She (it feels odd to call her DH's aunt, but technically she is!) has worked in central London for 30+ years so knows all the little haunts! It's just a shame that Gordon's has become so well known - it took us ages to get a seat!

Have a good Monday - once it is over it is almost the middle of the week, and the middle is closer to the end!

womanlytales · 15/11/2010 09:02

Have been to Gordon's and absolutely love it :) HRH Best of luck with reflexology and hope it works for you. I love your strength in attitude - it inspires me to be strong as well as we're all on different paths, thank you :)
lanky How are you doing? Have you got another appt with the cons? All the very best with the completion date - - it must be really exciting.
Garden Hope you had a lovely trip -not sure if you return today or tues.. :)
Flick You have certainly gone very quiet these days - - what are your next steps? Do you go for a progesterone test too?

I had a good and bad weekend - The good / great part was the party..everyone made it, the food was fab - I tried making cupcakes and it was a BIG hit (though terribly frightening to be experimenting on the day of the party!!!!) The rest of the food was a big big hit, we drank plenty -- I got to chat with just almost everyone - - - all in all a fabulous time.
The bad part was my sil coming in on Sunday for lunch... or rather everything was really tolerable till she tried to tell me what my relationship with my mother was really about... fancy that... it was a bit of a shock esp cause I didn't see it the way she did... and DH was like.. why is she talking to you about your relationship with your mother... so was quite odd.

Anyway come Monday morning and I wake up to spotting - TMI Warning - First it was brown and then when I washed there was fresh blood kinda like my ERTD is here. CD 23 14 days past my injection. Do these injections reduce your luteal phase? My cycles are typically 28 - 34...ie on the late-ish side of things... It was a bit funny because I saw the brown blood and immediately reached for my preg test..and then said hang on even if this implantation I doubt the hcg will be that much to be detected... then when I washed and there was fresh blood I was like..ok this really feels like a period I had back ache in the morning was eating quite a bit yesterday (SIL stressing me out) ...

so am going to wait till the afternoon - if ERTD is here - will book in for my day 2 scan...if not, then will wait it shows up for real... Not sure if I should go for that P test now....

Will keep you ladies updated. Have a lovely Monday and week ahead. Lots of baby dust to you all.

Just catching up now :)

Morning florin :) When are your next appointments?

Sorry womanly, I'm here! My day was just v. busy today so didn't get a chance to pop on in the morning as usual. Thanks for the running tips- I will have a think about what I'll do- I had pilates today so will decide tomorrow if I want to run. Glad the cupcakes were a success and that you had fun at the party- what a shame that your sil was so strange though? Very odd behaviour and how rude! I have a progesterone test on saturday morning and they want me to hang around until they have the results as if the level is low they want to give me something to stabilize/raise the levels. Not sure about that? but will ask questions as and when I need to! I wouldn't rule out implantation bleeding... Lots of people on here have said that they have had fresh blood and that they thought that ERTD was starting...

Oh cavey, I'm another Gordon's fan. I used to love going there! Glad you had a lovely weekend and go you for being so relaxed about your ERTD. I think your plan sounds great and I'm sure that you will have a visit from ERTD before the new year.

lanky the 26th will be here so soon! You must be so excited for the move- you better make sure that you get your internet installed super quick or we will miss you! Sorry about your ERTD but onwards and upwards for your FC appointment and when is the HSG? Hope the job is going well and not too manic.

big hellos to everyone else- garden, come back soon and tell us all about your weekend :)

HRHCavey · 15/11/2010 13:28

Hmm, perhaps we need a Frolickers meet up at Gordon's! Just because we all seem to know it, nothing to do with the copious amounts of wine and short crawling distance to a Tube station!

Wink
gardenpixie · 15/11/2010 14:46

Hello everyone,

Gordon's! Brilliant! We should definitely all go and hang out there!

HH I am so pleased about your second scan, thanks for letting us know, I was fretting for you! Sounds really promising though xxx

MissFlick glad your shot went well and that you and Mr Flick were able to, ahem, make the most of the timing! Fingers crossed there is a little Flick on his / her way for an early implantation soon Grin

Josie Sooooo sad about your friend and her daughter's horse. I really don't know what to say ... The advice about the vet sounds very good though. FWIW DH and I lost a puppy at seven months old because of a random fluke where his vaccinations didn't work properly - I was devastated and kept asking why him and what could we have done to stop it from happening. Our vet called up about a week or so after he'd passed away and was great, she very clinically told me that sometimes you can do everything right but tragic things still happen; she also said she could tell that he was very loved and that although his life was short, we'd done lots to make it a happy one which is all you can really do for your animals. That really helped me so hopefully your friend's vet might have similar words of wisdom.

Angry about your work situation though - so basically you'll have to train someone up and then they'll disappear when they are just getting useful...?

Raspberry booooo about ERTD. And about your friend. It's so hard to hear things like that when you are TTCing. I hope you are OK and here, I've mixed a triple G&T for you to make Monday afternoon go better

Florin I am Sad to hear your medical news. Like you said, at least you have a diagnosis and can take constructive action. And the fact that your FSH was under 10 is great - doesn't that mean you still have good egg reserves?

I have heard of ovarian drilling but not had it myself - it is meant to be very good. Great that your Dr is on top of things!

Kaloki I hope your housing nightmares are resolving themselves, it must be sooo stressful for you. Am sending hugs xxx

Lanky Sad to hear about ERTD. Great that you have an HSG booked in though. Is your FC appt in early Dec? I can't believe we are half way through November already!

Womanly how are you today? Sorry about your Confused bleeding. Not helpful. I am afraid I don't know how common it is but I had the same thing last cycle and it really confused me. I hope yours is for happier reasons though!

Hello everyone I've missed!

Phew, just got back from weekend away and it was lovely. Lots of relaxing walks, hanging out in the local pub and eating yummy food. It was so nice to spend time with DH with no stress and no prescribed SWIing!

It has also taken my mind off the 2WW so I think I now only have 4 full days left until I'll be 14DPO. I have read various things on the internet about being able to test 10 days after an HCG shot but I am trying to ignore them and I am certainly NOT listening to the HPTs sitting in my bathroom cabinet calling to me ...

Hope everyone's Mondays are going well xxxx

highheelsandequations · 15/11/2010 16:57

Sorry for those of you who've been got by FERTD but glad to hear about the fun weekends away that have been had.

Just quickly popping in (hope noone minds) to say that after bad news on Saturday (HCG had increased but not doubled so they were still worried) and another very anxious couple of days, yet another scan today showed that things look like they're developing normally, although there's still really not a lot to see. Have to go back for yet another scan Monday but fingers crossed everything will be okay from here on in.

Will still be lurking to keep an eye on you all but probably won't post too much now as I don't want to be an irritating pregnant poster :)

Thank you again for all your help, support and kindness over the past months. I honestly don't think we would be where we are just now without you lovely ladies. And I'm looking forward to chatting to you all very soon when you have your BFPs so here's a bottle of fizz to celebrate the upcoming November and December BFPs for all. Cheers.

xxxxxxxx

womanlytales · 15/11/2010 17:02

Hi,
Just spoke with the nurse from the clinic and she said it might be ovulation bleed or ERTD -- so will wait till tomorrow.
Garden Welcome back - great to hear you have just four more days to go for 14 dpo :)
Can you tell me a bit more about the bleed you had last cycle? The nurse had me confused with her qs is it a heavy bleed or not is it like your normal period...and I was not able to articulate...because it isn't very light and it isn't very heavy so could be just ertd. And it's day 23..so what's that about?

gardenpixie · 15/11/2010 17:08

Hi womanly my bleed was on day 24 (I think) - it was (TMI warning) red but not like normal ERTD as it wasn't as heavy. It then stopped for a few days and then came back on day 27. My consultant seemed pretty unfussed by it!

I don't know if ovulation bleeding is meant to be red ... but I'm sure the nurse knows far more than me!

How very Confused

HH that is such good news xxx

TigerseyeMum · 15/11/2010 18:40

Evening all.

I got excited for a moment as I thought I was way past the FERTD date, but turned out I am only on day 25 Angry Ever feel like you want something too much????!!!!

I think I can feel FERTD building up too, so no joy this month.

Hope everyone is well and had a good weekend.

Keep SWIing Wink

Updating the list as I didn't get moved to the bottom when ERTD struck yesterday.

Warning: I'm about to have a whinge.

So my last three cycles have been 35 days, 42 days, and 17 days. DH thinks this is down to stress as I've been varying degrees of batsh*t crazy since I found out my job was going away. That was, coincidentally, about three cycles ago.

I never bothered to get the results of my day 2 and 21 bloods as they were from a cycle I know was messed up (the 35-day cycle above). At this point I'm inclined to go back to the GP, but I know what they're going to say: "De-stress, lose the weight you've gained recently from comfort eating and drinking too much due to stress." I'm assuming they wouldn't want to talk clomid or anything like that since I've only been irregular for a little while and there's an obvious correlation with stress. I kind of think I should leave it til after Christmas and see if things settle down. Anyone got an opinion?

Sorry for mememe again. Sad

gardenpixie · 15/11/2010 21:37

Oh Tomboy horrid that you are so stressed it is playing havoc with your cycles. FWIW I think you should go to your GP because you never know what they'll suggest but also so you can log your concerns - then if you need to go back in a few months (although I'm sure you'll be pg by then!) they will have a record. Sorry, it is horrible ... I know you said you think you'd be told to give up booze but do you want this G&T? xx

Tiger lovely to see you! Fingers crossed you will be properly past ERTD soon xx

womanlytales · 15/11/2010 21:39

Tomboy - I think you have enough to warrant some initial blood tests with your gp. Best of luck.
Garden - thanks for the info. I am convinced this is ertd because I hv all the normal symptoms... hunger, back pain, bloatedness, and after ertd arrives an incredible light feeling because the pressure is now released. Also the flow is very typical day one flow. Will see what I wake up with tomorrow. Have a scan booked for one pm.

gardenpixie · 15/11/2010 21:41

womanly I hope it's not ERTD for you! But if it is, great that you have a scan booked - fingers crossed it goes well xx

Florin · 15/11/2010 22:19

I can't believe we all go to Gordons that is so strange. We go there because its staggering distance from Charing Cross station and we live half an hour down the track so nice and easy and they serve good wine. Maybe we have all seen each other in there and just never known it! Definitely should be a frolickers meet up there.

Our next appointment is for dh who needs to do his sperm sample which we are doing on Friday. Then back to docs for results on the 3rd December.
Womanly hope its not ERTD but if it is good luck with your scan.
Tomboy hope your cycles settle down, I went through a stage like like and understand the frustration. Worth trying to go to the docs if you get a sympathetic one they may agree to start some basic tests which may put your mind at rest. I have felt so much more relaxed its like passing the burden over to the doctors.
Tiger hope Ertd is not on his way, pregnancy signs can be very similar!
Garden your weekend away sounds lovely we all need a break away from it all sometimes. When I let it out to my parents at the weekend I realised how the whole ttc process was turning me slowly mad and also how much poor dh puts up with!
Lanky good luck with the move hope you are getting on with all your packing!

ToriaPumpkinHead · 15/11/2010 23:11

Sorry for the ladies whom ERTD pounced on in my absence, if it makes any of you feel better I have the world's worst hangover, it is only now starting to clear properly after drinking my (somewhat considerable) bodyweight in winter cocktails on Saturday night. I must have had at least one for all of you!

Tomboy Sorry about your rubbish cycles. I concur with going to your GP and getting it noted.

Womanly Hopefully it's not ERTD, have my fingers crossed!

Florin Sorry you had bad news, but as someone else said, FSH score sounds positive, and now you know what you're dealing with.

My weekend was lovely, drank far too much and drank enough caffeine to wake a small herd of elephants up on a Monday morning so am really feeling it today. About to crawl off to bed and nurse myself. Have had random spotting and weird pains in my stomach for the last two days so think my hormones are playing me up as still don't think I ovulated, though stopped taking my temperature on Friday. Have reflex tomorrow so will just go along and chill out.

Fell out with my mother somewhat on Friday night, she asked me how I was and I said I'd had a bad week. She knows we're TTC so had no qualms about telling her my concerns, she's a midwife and had some fertility problems herself so thought I might get some constructive advice. Instead she told me that I'm being impatient, it took her a year to conceive me and when I told her I was taking real measures to try and find out if I was ovulating or not and that I wanted to get the ball rolling in case we needed any tests she dismissed me and told me to relax. If she hadn't been nearly 400 miles away I think I probably would have thrown something at her, is there anything more irritating that "just relax"? Unfortunately she's coming down to stay tomorrow until Friday so I don't predict much calm time in my house until oooh, December?

Right, really must be off. Sorry to everyone I've missed, will come back and be sociable when I can.

MissFlick · 16/11/2010 01:13

Morning All,

Just a quick one from me as I absolutely have to do some work today- how dull.

garden How exciting about 4 full days! It's even less now you're awake! When will you test Friday or Saturday? or after? I am trying to control my excitement but I have a good feeling about this month for you xxx

cavey a Gordons meet up would be heavenly.

womanly I really hope that it's not ERTD for you, sounds good that it could be an ovulation bleed. That would explain the low progesterone tests. I think you should go for the scan anyway as they should be able to see if you have ovulated from that anyway.

florin good luck for Mr.F's sperm sample on Friday :)

Fingers crossed for you HH that everything is developing as it should. I'm sending all positive vibes your way xxx

tomboy I agree with the other girls, I think you should go to the doctors and see what the say. I think womanly is right, you could start the initial blood tests. I'm sure if you asked for them the doctor wouldn't say no? Sorry you're feeling so stressed, go and get a big hug from your lovely man to cheer you up. Have just done the list and saw that you are on cycle 12 now, I definitely think that the doctors would take you seriously as they tell you to try for a year before coming to see them xx

toria glad you had a lovely weekend :) I hope you make things up with your mum when she arrives.

Hope everyone else is ok- no news from me! Just waiting for my blood test on Saturday morning, if all is well then I think the imaginary symptom spotting and mentalness will begin. At the minute I am feeling quite calm.

Hello everyone, just a quickie from me as I'll be tied up in meetings for most of the day so just wanted to check in!

Womanly how are you doing today? I hope ERTD hasn't shown up! I agree with the advice to go for the scan anyway, at least you'll see what's going on one way or the other

Toria the phrase "Just relax" should be outlawed and should become punishable by pelting with rotten fruit when uttered at a TTCer. In fact I will write to the Ministry of Justice immediately suggesting that. Seriously though it's the most frustrating thing in the world to hear and I hope you have been able to calm down a bit. Hopefully your mother will have regained some perspective and sensitivity when she comes to stay

Thanks for doing the list MissFlick I hope you manage to get some work done!

Hello to everyone else and sorry for rubbishly short post... will pop back after work

xxxx

Oh Florin sounds like you?re having a hard time. Glad that sharing it has made you feel a bit better though, sounds like you?ll have plenty of support throughout this

Raspberry my friend?s daughter has been horse hunting this weekend so is definitely on the mend! I think it?s a bit soon but rather she gets straight back into it than gives up, she?s very talented, it would have been a waste. It?s apparently the only thing that stops her crying at the minute so I?m all for it

Thanks Garden your vet sounds lovely. It turns out they?ve said he was happy for the last year of his life and it was just a freak accident. She seems to be on the med now so fingers crossed the worst is over for them. Yes you?ve hit the nail on the head with work situation Grin

Sorry for ERTD Tomboy and Lanky Sad. ERTD arrived for me too on saturday so can I be put onto CD4 pleasey cheesey. Ta

Garden I await the results of your letter with bated breath :) Hope your meetings aren't too awful.

Miss Flick I'm sure we'll be fine, she has a tendancy to forget she's upset me and I'm feeling a lot more chilled after reflex. I look forward to your menkulling next week Grin How are you feeling about it all atm? I know you're being very calm and taking a step back, is that panning out for you?

Josie Sorry ERTD got you. Are you still planning to take a break for a while?

No other news here, I'm much calmer after an hour and a half being pampered, pressed and fed yummy fruity teas, I swear my reflexologist is a Goddess! Just waiting for mum to get here so I can bribe her into taking me to collect a parcel (our car has been off the road for a week and a half, lovely large bill just before Christmas, excellent).

No Toria we're not taking a break now, have decided that the money we owe to family and have to save up, will have to wait if I get pg and they'll (hopefully) understand so still going for it Wink Sorry to hear about your car but glad you've had a lovely relaxing day
