The Three Follicles is officially open for business!

Just to make sure we all become members of 'The Christmas Club' I've put something in the wine.... Wink

gardenpixie · 27/09/2010 15:24

Hermya I was just too shy to be the first to kiss her but now you've started us off ...

JosieSmith1 · 27/09/2010 16:07

Kiss for MissFlick and everyone else because I'm in a good mood...

I ate a biscuit!!!!! GrinGrin (little dance around office!!!)

gardenpixie · 27/09/2010 16:29

Hurrah for biscuits! That'll cheer up a Monday afternoon. And I think I may have some in cupboard in the kitchen somewhere ...

Truffkin · 27/09/2010 16:41

Thanks Garden I was originally not counting days as had no idea what my UCL was, am now none the wiser but could go for a hybrid like this TTC #1, cycle 4, UCL 26-33, CD2

Big snogs for Flick, seeing as it's Christmas and all that (well, in here at least) so pass me the mulled wine and Quality Street, when's Dumbo on TV?

Have just booked myself in for a Garra Rufo pedicure at Aqua Sheko on Thursday in feeble attempt at cheering myself up. Thanks for the sympathy drokies, I feel more Smile with you guys helping me to drown my sorrows stop moping. You're all just lufferly Blush

At least it's nearly home time, am determined to leave at 5pm today as I'm really not making a significant contribution anyway and need to get home to my fleecy blanket, chinese takeaway (planned for last night but drunken post-stag DH went to bed at 4.30pm) and sympathy!

LankyLegs · 27/09/2010 16:45

Bug snogs to missflick!

Truff enjoy the chinese and the pedi sounds fab. I only end up going to the salon to get a bloody wax - really should try and go for non-pain related treatments too.

Right - make sure you leave on time all! I am and going to hit the gym (boo) to make up for the half bag of kettle chips I ate whilst sat in front of the TV yesterday. I is a fat cow.

Ciao for now!

xx

cookiemoo · 27/09/2010 18:07

Wow! I disappear for a bit and we're on a new thread! I have no hope of catching up on every thing!! I hope you are all well!
I wondered if someone could update my stats as I'm on my phone? I'm currently CD2 (boo).
DH had his second sa back to say all fine! I've been back to GP to request referral to gynae so in for a long wait!!!!

HRHCavey · 27/09/2010 18:16

Nice to see normal service has resumed in The Three Folicles - plenty of posts!

Sadly, if my temp drop does indicate imminent ovulation, it won't be taken advantage of as DH is away back at work. He's travelling around this week so not even as if I can go and surprise him at his base!

Oh well, the positive is that if it is ovulation then things are getting back into working order. I'm not going to get my hopes up, but with cycle day 100 rapidly approaching I really hope it is the Big O!

Right, off to work on my coursework.

Toriajayne · 27/09/2010 18:16

I am sorry for the me me me post but I've had a truly shit day. Today should have been my aunt's 63rd birthday, but unfortunately she suffered a massive heart atack in May and is no longer with us. That in mind I was trying to be positive today at work. And it was going really well, until my mum contacted me to say that some complete prick local character had set fire to three buildings owned by my step-dad, one of which is a shop, one is a garage, all three have large quantities of petrol, diesel or oil in or around them. An entire village was evacuated thanks to this complete knobend, bastard person and he's damn lucky no one was hurt as the three buildings all border one of the main villages, which contains the two hotels, the post office and a largeish residential area.

I'll try to come back later and post properly but if I'm MIA for a while this is why. OH is still in Sweden so having to look after myself when all I want to do is curl up and cry. Off now as hands are shaking again. Sorry again.

raspberrytipple · 27/09/2010 18:21

hello, nice shiney new fred, I loves it!
Just a quick post as I'm off to pole in a minute and not feeling brilliant as I have a cold and work is rather demanding at the moment so I'm too tired to stare at the laptop now I'm home.

However, that said I just wanted to tell you about my lovely friend who has been having a completely crappy time with her DP. I've had many hours of moaning and tears and hysterically ramblings over the last few weeks but, y'know, shes my bessie mate so its ok. She knows we are trying to conceive so I will call the shoulder to cry on favor back in the future at some point but today she comes round with a beautiful bunch of my favorite flowers. very sweet of her and they are gorgeous and all my fave flowers and colours too.

Hope everyone is ok and welcome to the newbie, slow nice to meet you!

Will catch up properly soon and thanks for starting the thread MissFlick

xx

STILL working so best get back to it now but big hugs to Toria your day does sound crappy. Happy to prop up the bar with you if you need a moan! xx

Big waves to everyone else xx

Evening All

Loving the new room and the beginnings of the Christmas festivities.

Welcome to the room Slow - you will find everyone here to be absolutely lovely.

Raspberry & lanky our resident fitness fanatics - hope this evening workouts were good.

toria sorry to hear you've had a bad day.

HRHCavey I hope the temp is a positive sign for you that things are happening.

Trffkin hope the Chinese was good. Makes me hungry just thinking about it.

Flick thanks for starting the new room. You will make the perfect hostess!

Kkas sorry to hear you won't be around for a while. Like others have said I do hope that you still pop in from time to time xxx

hello to everyone else

Right..... Next round's on me

highheelsandequations · 27/09/2010 20:06

Hi everyone, thanks Flick for the new thread

cherrycobbler · 27/09/2010 20:07

hello all! Loving the new thread - roll on Christmas!

Am back from my hols (nice and hot - wintry UK was a shock I tell you!) and just popping in to steal a cheeky snog from MissFlick (can't refuse an opportunity like that!) and also to say kkas saw your post on the other thread and sorry to hear you're having a sh*tty time. Really hope that things start to look up for you and that you do pop in when you feel up to it.

LovelyLanky was also sad to see that you were feeling rubbish last week. Hope you are spoiling yourself. I had a bit of a rubbish time at the end of last year when we found out my dad was really ill and booked myself a weekly treat - even if it was just trashy magazine and a Flake. I should warn you that this is not good for one's bank balance or waistline, but I found it really helped to

have small treats, as inane as that sounds. Truff just read your post re your pedi, sounds amazing as does early night on the sofa with a take away!!

Bella how are you feeling honey?

All ok here, hols was gorgeous, coming back to work is a shock! Starting to feel sick - on Sat spent the whole day hugging the toilet bowl and feeling pathetic but been better the past couple of days.

Wave to everyone else!! Have put the prosecco in the fridge - enjoy!

xxxx

Kaloki · 27/09/2010 20:28

How quick do you lot fill these threads up?! lol

Aaanyway, to start the new thread BBCFERTD turned up. So just waiting on the ultrasound results on Friday (if they are there by then)

Though the last cycle beat my last personal best at 44 days Hmm

HRHCavey · 27/09/2010 20:38

A quick catch up post:

Cherry glad you had a good holiday. I was throwing up like a good 'un just the other day when we got back from Prague. I'm guessing you're not a good traveller either?

Toria so sorry to hear that you've had such a bad day. Hope they catch the toerag soon and throw the book at him.

Big hello and cheery waves to SlowShow - hope you're not here for long, in the nicest possible way Grin

If we're going to be hanging mistletoe up in this bar, can we at least get a sexy barman in for us to "accidently" bump in to?!

Must go now, got to make my weekly phonecall to my parents and have a pile of articles on Colic in Horses for an essay!

MrsWajs · 27/09/2010 21:00

Oooh a christmas thread - I love it!!

But surely this thread will be done before October is even half way through - or am I missing the point entirely??

Anyway just dropping in to say hello to you all, hope you are keeping well.xx

HRHCavey · 27/09/2010 21:38

MrsW, I think the Christmas theme is that those of us who are lucky enough to get pregnant during this thread will be able to announce their pregnancies to friends/family over Christmas!

I know what you mean about the speed of our threads - we'll end up with at least 3 before Christmas!

Florin · 27/09/2010 21:38

Hello all! Sorry I have been missing for a few days. Had a really wonderful couple of days off last week. It was just what we needed. Got a hotel from some air miles we had so was free! It had a lovely swimming pool and steam room etc so chilled out and cracked open a bottle of champagne in our room which dh and I shared over a good chat in the big bath. Pure bliss! Plus dh took me to a duck place on the way home to pick up a new duck-named her Daisy Duck and she is very cute.
My Emma Cannon book turned up yipee! Really loving it. Its given me such a fresh outlook on things I am feeling really positive and all excited about ttc again. I am a damp person according to the book which is the hardest to treat apparently. I think there is lots of good advice in it, to be fair I think it would be impossible to follow it all without it completly taking over your life but it has good advice in and I am just going to do as much as I can.
Hope everyone else is doing well, trying to slowly catch up with everybody's news.
Kkas I hope you are ok lovely. If there is anything we can do to help or if you do feel able to share or want some advice then let us know. I have been through an extrememly rough patch with my dh just over a year ago I honestly never thought we would get through it, I have never cried so much. It was the hardest thing to work through and it took a long time to settle down however looking back now I can honestly say it made us stronger, I hope the same can happen for you.

JosieSmith1 · 28/09/2010 08:42

Morning everyone

Florin I had a bad patch with my DH too a long time ago when we decided to get married, I got cold feet and moved out of our house and had to really think about whether or not I wanted to be with him forever, and I have never cried so much too, and at work Blush. I'm sure it's not the same as what kkas is going through but the nearly splitting up then not definitely made us stronger so hopefully the same works for you kkas

Sorry to keep going on, but my tooth isn't much better still. Not sore constantly now so it is massively improved on the weekend, but my bite still isn't right. I can deal with it a bit longer, just worried as Mam is taking me out shopping on thu and we were gonna have tea, plus it's her 60th birthday celebration on sat and at this rate I won't be able to eat anything at the meal! I'm sure I just have to be patient and I do think it has slowly improved so just gotta stick at it I suppose. [fed up and sore face]

Hope everyone is ok on this dark and dreary morning?

JosieSmith1 · 28/09/2010 08:56

Can someone point me in the direction of the grads thread please. Not for that reason (I wish), there's an orthodontist on there Grin

LankyLegs · 28/09/2010 09:03

Morning all lovely ones,

Lovely to have you back Florin and your time away sounds like bliss! I love those big baths with lots of champers - what more could a girl ask for hey?

Cookie nice to see you again but sorry for ERTD - hope this new fred and cycle is lucky for you.

Toria am so sorry about your Aunt hope you were ok in the end. I know it is hard but must try and think about all the nice memories you had of her. My dad died nearly 5 years ago and it took years to get into a space where I started to remember the good things about him and not when he was ill.

Rasberry your friend sounds lovely - what a sweet thing to do.

Highheels hope ERTD does arrive for you so that you can crack on with the next cycle as well - sorry sweets xx

Waves to Bella and Mrswajs Cavey garden flick and Josie

Sorry for short post - can't surf at work for very long now as I have a new project team working behind me so they can see everything!!! Grrr!

Will be back later!

xx

MissFlick · 28/09/2010 09:27

Morning Lovelies,

What a chatty lot you were yesterday! I love it when I get up and there is lots of lovely posts for me to catch up on.

Thanks for my Christmas kiss hermya hope you are enjoying the pottering around on your maternity leave! So exciting!! :)

toria :( Angry what a horrid day you had. You poor love and I bet it was made all the worse for your DH being away. I can?t believe that no one was hurt, that is one thing to be thankful for at least. I hope the person is caught soon and that your mum and step dad are doing ok. Am thinking of you xxx

womanly it sounds as if garden?s theory about the follicle not popping because of the LH could be right for you. The HCG injection sounds like it would definitely do the job in that respect. Good luck with you scan today- come and let us know what they say and I hope you get the prescription for the higher dose of the magic pills :)

garden did the sleeping pill Clomid do it?s job last night? Hope the higher dose is still treating you ok and that you are ploughing through your mountain of work.

lanky your post was so positive and happy! The thread is already feeling brighter- we need to bring back all of our random restaurant, skin care etc chat. I think we have all been focusing too much on the TTC part of the thread of late! Sounds silly really doesn?t it?! I am looking forward to this weekend but... it is the one where we are doing a mad dash to England for Mr. F?s best friend?s wedding! So of course I am massively excited but at the same time anticipating the tiredness. Although, I will be remaining positive and will be telling myself that I WILL NOT GET TIRED OR JET LAGGED. I?m sure that will work! Sorry, I can?t help with the spotting question- I hope someone can enlighten you and that you get to the GP?s on Fri. What?s the latest with your thyroid blood tests btw?

josie glad you?re doing better chick- Hope the lashings of garden?s wine helped last night! I laughed at you doing a dance to celebrate eating a biscuit! I had antibiotics for tonsilitis and the doctor said that they were ok for TTC but I am not sure what they were called or if that is the case for all of them. Bless your dh for holding your head when you were swilling your mouth wash- what sweetie. I think I will be purchasing some First Responses on the BOGOF deal at Boots when I?m home over the weekend. I just don?t trust these HK tests Grin That?s always my excuse when I get a BFN on one. I have even convinced Mr. F that they are unreliable, if I have proper English tests I will have to believe the BFN?s then!

Welcome slow! Congratulations on your marriage :) Like the others have said, I hope the thread will be lucky for you.

Sorry about your ERTD truff and wait away to greet it- boo. One positive if your body has to mess you around is that at least it came early and you weren?t left hanging around for ever waiting and waiting for it to arrive. I don?t think you are broken lovely :) Also, I have heard stories of people thinking that there FERTD had arrived only for it to stop again and them end up with a BFP. I don?t want to get your hopes up, but maybe just POAS in a couple of days if it is still playing up just to put your mind at rest. Nope, I get no time off this week in lieu of my weekend at work- but it is another public holiday on Friday and I?ll be in England which will be a real treat for me! Your upcoming wedding sounds lush- I?m so excited about the one I?m going to on Saturday! I?m so jealous of your pedicure and your evening last night Envy Chinese take aways in HK are just not the same as at home!

Hi cookie good news of your DH?s SA. I hope your wait for your appointment is not too long or that you don?t need it of course!

cave hope that your coursework is going well. I don?t think I ever congratulated you on taking the plunge and going for the dance class!! You really are super woman!

raspberry You need to be a member of the Christmas Club as it was your idea! What a lovely, thoughtful friend you have :)

Hi bella! How was the wedding? Hope you?re doing ok and not too tired or sicky xxx

higheels hope your body makes up it?s mind for you soon. You are doing so well at staying positive and looking forward. Hope work is going ok and your tricky class is settling down.

Great to see you cherry! Been missing you! Pleased to hear you had a lovely holiday and thanks for the snog Wink Hope the sickness clears up soon but pleased you are having nice, strong symptoms! Any news on scans or appointments yet?

Glad your FERTD finally arrived mrskaloki onwards and upwards, lady. Really hope your results are in on Fri, this has been going on too long for you now but you are so strong and just keep going. Hope all is ok with your back too.

Jealous of your break florin- I can hear from your post that you sound all revitalised and refreshed! It obviously did you the world of good. How is Daisy settling in with Wonky? I really want some ducks when I move back to England- what colour are they?
Glad your Emma Cannon book arrived- I agree there is a lot in there but it really helps with trying to remain positive. Talking of which, this arrived yesterday and I listened to it last night. It is so relaxing! If anyone wants to try it out I am happy to copy on to a CD and post for you- just inbox me your address. I did feel a bit silly with all of the visulizations but it was really relaxing and I thought every little bit helps doesn?t it?!

Will try and check in later on but am leaving my lap top at work tonight Shock so I don?t get tempted to do any bits of work at home. Trying to retrain myself. No real news from me, still plodding on with the SWI- trying to do it everyday between days 14 and 21 and every other day for the rest of the cycle just to cover all bases in case my cycle decides to be un predictable this month. I am going in blind with no CBFM, no OPK, no temping and I am finding that it is really helping me with the positivity as I can just pretend things are working fine and hopefully they will be!

Love to all xxx

Ariesgirl · 28/09/2010 11:09

Toria, what a total scumbag. Some people should be put on hard labour for the term of their natural lives and that "person" is one of them.

Sorry about my initial cynicism about the Christmas club. It's actually a lovely idea, and it has taken over my entire being imagination

crazybutterflylady · 28/09/2010 11:31

Hi everyone, just popping into the new, fabulous thread with supplies and so I can continue to lurk keep up with you all.

Hope you are all doing well and eating your pineapple :)

Lots of love

xx

slowshow · 28/09/2010 11:34

Hey Florin, I just got the Emma Cannon book out from the library. I also think I tick a lot of the Damp boxes (it was the "slim build but lots of cellulite" thing that swung it for me Hmm). I'm enjoying reading it so far but I don't know how much, realistically, I can adopt. I'm also quite conscious of not getting TOO obsessive about TTC this early on.

I am in awe of MissFlick's mega post!
