Are you sure I think Foxtrot would be lovely for a girl, and Yankee would be great for a boy! Wink

We are I think set on Logan for a boy, sort of in honour of DHs Irish heritage on his mums side. Middle names after both our fathers. Although still not 100% sure about what that will be in my case as my dad was Bernard...so maybe Bern or Montgomery (as he was named after Mongomery of Alamein). Girls is tricky. DDs name was a battle to which DH gave in :o I like Tabitha, Marianne and Scarlett, DH likes Hannah, Rebecca & Catherine!

OP posts:
AmandaCooper · 19/09/2010 14:19

Apart from Marianne I like all of those! Logan is really nice. Lol at DD called Foxtrot!

AmandaCooper · 19/09/2010 14:22

Oh and the prize for NPP goes to... My DH! Well done DH! Shame I'm 4 DPO. Grin

bebejones · 19/09/2010 14:28

Well done your DH, certainly getting over his FOF then?!

I'm a bit wavering on Marianne, I like it but not 100% convinced it goes with DDs name Hmm It'll never happen though, DH is very unlikely to go with my choice again! I find his suggestions a little bit dull with our surname! I like Amelia too, but DH just thinks it's a bit OTT!

OP posts:
AmandaCooper · 19/09/2010 14:37

Amelia's not as spunky sounding as the other names you like, it's more of a girly name to my mind.

Ooh think I can feel implantation pains, my boobs are definitely more tender, etc!

AmandaCooper · 19/09/2010 14:44

Ps thought for a second that you meant that your DD was named after a battle, like Somme, or Hastings, or Waterloo!

bebejones · 19/09/2010 14:49

Lol at Waterloo! :o

We argued so much about her name, then one day DH just came home from work and said 'we are calling her *** that's the end of it!' And he had picked my name choice :o

AC - is that wishful thinking implantation pains?! Hmm

OP posts:
AmandaCooper · 19/09/2010 14:54

Ha ha did he know that?!

Just kidding - But in two weeks time I'll be keen to have your view on whether the fact I've done ten negative pg tests and have got my period means I'm not pg!

bebejones · 19/09/2010 15:01

Yeah he knew, I think he was just so fed up of arguing about it & realised he was never going to win! He added a 2nd middle name though which now (IMO, coz I would feel odd if I didn't) means all subsequent DC will need 2 middle names! DH wound me up unmercilesly (sp?) about DDs name as he was the one who registered her, the registrar came round in hospital & I was BFing at the time so he had to do it! Even got the registrar in on the wind up about what he had registered her as!

We will all of course be telling you you are not PG after all thos -ve tests! Wink :o

OP posts:
AmandaCooper · 19/09/2010 15:08

Hmm I don't think that is very encouraging of you!

All future DC, Bebe? Wink

bebejones · 19/09/2010 15:16

Wink Of course 4 DPO the little egg could still be lingering around, there is always a chance....

I'd love more than 2 DC, and you never know might have twins/triplets/quads....Hmm

OP posts:
AmandaCooper · 19/09/2010 15:26

Fertility Friend could have got the OV date wrong of course let's not forget I am a total amateur!!

Oh to be a fly on the wall when you tell your DH it's quads. At least you could both use all your names!

bebejones · 19/09/2010 15:32

Could be completely off, yes...these things are never certain!

Well DH always said he wanted 5 children! He is one of 10 (from different relationships of both parents) & I am an only so we figured 5 was meeting in the middle! (He has subsequently changed his mind since DD arrived...she is a bit full on!) Twins would be great Hmm :o

Hello sunday-chatting ladies!

Well it is progress on all fronts here isn't it! NPP and baby name discussions, whatever next?! Funny, we've had one of them this morning too (though OH brought it up and then didn't take it seriously!).

(Bebe I love the name Marianne, my cousin is called that. Think Amelia is nice too.)

I am hanging around waiting for first post-pill AF; day 28 came and went on Thursday but if my CM observations are on track then I reckon 14 days post what I am guessing at being ov is Tuesday. Haven't read TCOYF yet though so don't feel particularly confident I know what I'm talking about really! Does that sound right?

AmandaCooper · 19/09/2010 16:35

No way of knowing how long your luteal phase (between OV and AF) will be until you've had a few cycles. It could be any time. If you're temping, your temp may drop just as AF is about to arrive.

AmandaCooper · 19/09/2010 16:39

Do you remember that children's book character naughty Amelia Jane?

Quodlibet · 19/09/2010 17:26

Cheers AC - I'm not temping, too much faff for me with my unpredictable routine! Before I was on the pill my cycles were usually 30-32 days so I'm thinking I'll be on the long side.

5 DCs! Blimey. I'm thinking three's a nice number in theory. How many have you got in in mind AC?

AmandaCooper · 19/09/2010 17:45

Just one for now would suit me fine! Five sounds expensive!

amummyinwaiting · 19/09/2010 18:25

I used to read all the naughty amelia jane books when I was little- good old enid blyton!
Well we are off on hols tommorow so fingers crossed weather is not freezing cold hot.
Do you think there will be a new thread by the time I get back? will have to find it. (says in a slightly stalker esque way.
Bebe- I think marianne is a lovely name... due to our very odd and slightly rude surname tho it is not an option for us. :)
Anyway see you all when I get back

bebejones · 19/09/2010 18:35

I shall put link to new thread on here so you can find it easily!

Will catch up later, just putting the monster in the bath then to bed!!

brettgirl2 · 19/09/2010 19:11

Hi all - baby names lol. I too have had a chat with DH about this and said 'I think Amy for a girl or Adam for a boy' and he just said 'OK, fine' Hmm (and of course he then pointed out the obvious fact that I'm not actually pregnant. He likes 'plain' names, hence my choices (he would never go for anything even remotely exotic) but they are names they like.

I know when my 'Luteal phase' is - I start feeling bloated and a bit crampy (yes, for two weeks Shock) Well at least I hope so I told DH I couldn't get pg on Friday night Grin

Bebe your second sentence made me laugh, that's exactly the sort of thing I would say!

brettgirl2 · 19/09/2010 19:12

they are names I like!!!

AmandaCooper · 19/09/2010 19:25

Ha ha it's just a matter of time before one of us amateurs stuffs up our fertility signs and has the first waiting ttc baby!

bebejones · 19/09/2010 19:38

AC - I was never 'allowed' to read any Enid Blyton Hmm, don't ask me why! I'm way too chicken to NPP, even if I think it's 'safe' wpuld be sod's law that I'd be the one to stuff it up!

Amummy - Have a lovely time away! Got us all guessing at your surname now...very cryptic!

Quod - I think you need to have a few cycles to be able to work it out!

Brett - I think Adam is a lovely name, Amy would be no go for us as we know 3 & it's already confusing!

5 more sleeps until my last jab! Very exciting!!! Feel like I need one of ACs special countdown calendars! :o 96 days until I'm safe to TTC!

OP posts:
amummyinwaiting · 19/09/2010 21:14

thank you for putting link on for me else I would get lost!
Ha ha- you will al have a week to keep guessing. It is a name like no other Blush and causes much amusement by all who here it!
