JS some calendars are saying 99 days and some are saying 98 days, TBH I CBA to check and find out which is correct. But thanks for the friday morning scran idea. Just about to go make big batch of soup, loads of veggies to use up in it. Might need several pans!

100years · 17/09/2010 11:06

Oh yes and I am keeping my DP forever :o He is the best thing to have happened in my life.

JustShaggingForNow · 17/09/2010 11:27

I can't believe xmas is so close! How the hell did that happen?!?!?

Had a call from another recreuitment agent this morning about a job in Bristol..... still uber keen for the Bath one but nice to know there is something else out there if I don't get it!!!

AmandaCooper · 17/09/2010 12:05

100years glad you are feeling better. It's horrible the way it can suddenly get to you isn't it. I am a bit worried it is taking over my personality and that I'm not the same person I was before this started. It's good that your DP is being understanding. It must be weird for them.

100years · 17/09/2010 12:12

Everything is getting close except next year ;) LOL

Thanks AC I know what you mean, part of me is glad we have had the chat and the other part of me isn't as it's made it seem close but far away, the biggest part is glad, because there is an end to the waiting.

WYorksLass · 17/09/2010 13:05

Hi, i'm new to mumsnet and think this is the place for me.

My OH and i are getting married in November and have agreed to start TTC #1 after that. I came off the pill in August and have had a proper period and there are definite signs of ovulation. :)

I am so excited, i don't even care that this Christmas will most likely be teetotal!
My OH is quite happy to talk about babies but colour drains from his face if i mention periods or ovulation so it's nice to be able to talk about it with others!

bebejones · 17/09/2010 13:08

Still no word from nurse I feel oddly in some sort of limbo!

100years - It'll go in a flash, I've been hanging around here over a year & it has actually gone quite quickly. Having all of you lot to whinge at helps!! Wink

JS - fingers crossed for the Bath job, although Bristol isn't that far either, just a bit of a PITA with the rush hour traffic!

AC - Christmas has sort of started sneaking up hasn't it! I've been so distracted by everything going on it only just dawned on me when I saw the chocolate santas in Tesco this week how close it actually is! Will seem even more exciting this year since I will technically be able to TTC! :o

Feel really rough today! DD asked 'what's wrong mummy?', I replied 'You gave me your germs', she said 'I love germs'! Well she can bloody well keep them next time then! Wink

Welcome wyorkslass. Congratulations. Hope your wedding day is great and enjoy the sex trying.

Thanks bebe, this year has flown by so far and I'm sure the rest will just dragging in the same way!

squirrel007 · 17/09/2010 16:56

Hi all! I haven't had much time to keep up with this thread lately, but I just wanted to m
pop in and say hello to you all :) seems like there's been some progress with the talks! Hope I can catch up properly later

bebejones · 17/09/2010 18:54

Well the drug delivery people rang again & are going to chase the MS nurse for me! So things are happening, just at the speed of a snail! [Impatient emoticon]

DH has come home in a complete depression this evening. Talking about not wanting to go back to work on Monday, fed up of being blamed for everything that goes wrong & miserable because of all the crap he has to deal with on a daily basis. At the moment it looks like things are getting worse again not better. :( If things don't improve soon I can't see him wanting to TTC in Jan. Him coming on holiday is causing so much grief & I just know it's going to erupt into a major argument between DH & his dad. (Already has caused a bit of friction!) Apparently everyone in his office has been laying into him about his weight all day today as well which is making him extra grumpy. TBH I really want him to lose weight but them all having a go will not help at all. He is very sensitive about it, and yet never seems to do anything about it! Feeling rubbish with this cold too & it's jab night... I just want to go to bed! :(

speak to everyone when i can

amummyinwaiting · 18/09/2010 13:23

Hi,
sorry for such a miserable post the other day :)
I was on injections before and even though I finished them about 18months ago these are my first proper periods. I was very mopey but feel lots better now!
I'm going on hols on monday so wont be on. Hoping for a couple of snuggles though even with mom and dad there as it is my crucial time! Blush
Jbells I hope that you are allright.
Wyorkslass hello and congratulations you must be vey excited!
I am at work 3-11 tonight :( so if cant get on this weekend will talk next weekend.

AmandaCooper · 18/09/2010 19:58

Welcome WYlass! You're in luck - after months of waiting at the bus stop we have decided sod the bus - we're going to depart in style aboard a super-exclusive first class train (think the Orient Express or similar) to journey at our leisure to the mysterious land of Motherhood.

Have we all packed 14 pairs of our best knickers and have we got our passports at the ready?

bebejones · 18/09/2010 20:30

JBells - hope you are ok?

Amummy - have a nice holiday!

Strawberry - hope your birthday celebrations are going well?!

AC - Loving the orient exprees, I shall be parking myself in the dining carriage and feasting upon all the delicous virtual (and therefore calorie free) food! Thought I'd start the new thread on Monday. What you think? We've nearly finished this one anyway & it'll be a new week, new thread!

Sorry just nipped out to collect my phone from DH's mum's pub where I'd left it and ended up being talking into driving a very drunk DH from the pub to his mate's house, then went to Asda and bought a box of red wine, some new slippers and the Twilight DVD.

The new focus for the new thread is a really good idea. Hopefully it will be the thread where a lot of us actually start ttc. And it will be nice to travel in style after waiting all this time. I can picture us now, relaxing in the first class dining car with smart uniformed staff to pour our beverages and pass us little beakers to pee in.

AmandaCooper · 18/09/2010 21:58

Ooooh these new slippers are SO nice!!!

bebejones · 19/09/2010 10:25

Hope you didn't drink the entire box of wine!! Wink

I'm trying to summon the energy to go to Tesco, but feel like crap. Another really rubbish nights sleep, really hoping this cold buggers off soon! Don't want to be ill on holiday!

bebejones · 19/09/2010 10:59

Eeeek! Just had a baby names conversation with my DH!!!! :o Very exciting! Maybe he might be coming round to the idea Hmm

OP posts:
AmandaCooper · 19/09/2010 12:11

Actually I never opened it, I had one piece of Yorkie bar and a can of Coke Zero. Just natural exuberance! A baby names conversation with your DH?? That's amazing Bebe!!!

bebejones · 19/09/2010 12:30

It seems we are in agreement over a boys name, whic is odd as when we were expecting DD we couldnt agree at all and had no names for a boy picked out! So we best have a boy this time, as it's girls names we don't agree on this time round! :o

On another positive, as Tesco have got lots of Christmas food in (already) I got some Turkish Delight! YUM! Will have to be very restrained not to eat the entire box in one day! Especially at 60cals a piece! Shock

OP posts:
AmandaCooper · 19/09/2010 12:35

60cals a piece? That's mental!

bebejones · 19/09/2010 12:39

I may be losing this battle as just ate 4 pieces and now feel a little bit sick! Confused Oh dear!

Can't believe it's countdown to Christmas already! I'll be TTC in no time at all....hopefully!

OP posts:
AmandaCooper · 19/09/2010 12:44

DH and I pretty much agree on Charlie for a girl. DH likes Oscar for a boy, but I don't think we could name both our children after letters from the alphabet, so it will have to be one or the other!

AmandaCooper · 19/09/2010 12:45

Don't let my DH hear you describe it as no time at all, I've assured him it's ages away!
