Welcome to our new shiny thread for February. The lattes and expressos were not quite hitting the mark so we have moved to the pub. Whether you need Diet Coke or stiff drink help yourself we have a tab going and hunky staff are very attentive.

Hello all. Signing in.

I'm currently researching CBD and THC remedies e.g. 'edibles'. I really have to cut right down on the prescribed heavy-duty codeine, NSAIDs and other meds that are wrecking my guts and which don't even work especially well.

Glad to hear that you're having a good day so far, @Akire.

Yes, these threads are very helpful. I've found it really hard to find these sorts of things on MN, so I'm really happy I found it.

I think I might stick around.... 😊

Sorry everyone. Pressed send too quickly.

I've just requested to withdraw from my college course. (HR). I feel like a massive failure for saying this, but I haven't been able to write any assignments because of my poor concentration/ brain fog/ fatigue. I just haven't been able to concentrate at all. Sad

Are you mature student ? Or still quite young? Do you have financial support to be able to stop the course?

@Akire I'm 28, so still quite young.

The course fees are paid by an external organisation, so luckily I haven't list any money 😘

Are you doing it along side a paid job then? Just wondered if health meant you no longer able stay in education and the financial hit of that. If it’s on top of paid job then no wonder you are struggling. No harm in knowing your limits

@Akire no, it's a government organisation who's funding this course. I'm not working at the moment.

I just wanted to do my best and unfortunately it was just the wrong time I think.

I hold a foundation qualification in HR, which I was able to study last year, so at least I've got something 😘

Good morning. Last night I only woke twice for gaviscon. Which is an improvement.
This morning however I fell down the last 2 steps on my stairs and landed on my knee. I now have a dislocated left knee and a twisted right ankle. My mums on her way to try and put my knee back. If it doesn't go it's a trip to hospital for me. Hooray.HmmGrin

I know it's early but I could totally do with a drink.

My ankle has been playing up more than usual for months, has a few times where it gave way under me, unfortunately this culminated in me falling Christmas morning and breaking the ankle 😭

Turns out walking with a support boot and crutches put my hips out of alignment, which causes them to sublux. It also makes my elbow and wrists hurt.

I've finally got out of the support boot, but having to do the school run using 1 crutch as I can't trust the ankle not to give way again. And it hurts so damn much. It's so difficult managing an injury on top of my normal pain levels.

Hope you can pop it back @HerRoyalHappiness Not best way to start the day.

@MedusasBadHairDay did they give you crutch that supports your elbow weight the sort bendy ones? It’s hard when lots issues and takes one extra pressure or weight shift to make everything else start to play up

No, just a normal one. The hypermobility didn't come up in conversation at A&E, and they aren't doing face to face appointments for the fracture clinic, so I've mostly been left to just get on with it.
