Welcome to our new shiny thread for February. The lattes and expressos were not quite hitting the mark so we have moved to the pub. Whether you need Diet Coke or stiff drink help yourself we have a tab going and hunky staff are very attentive.

Good plan, feels such a long day again. Pain not been awful just crawling over Lego kind of day. Watching Love it or list it with Phil and Kirsty they actually gasped at a house with 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom! Waiting for plans for 2 bed 2 en-suites and downstairs loo! For family of 2

Could feel my ankle going so I've strapped it up and hoping for the best. Yes I'm wearing Christmas socks. I'm autistic and they're my favourite socks Grin

I always feel like 24h jet lag for most of the day then about 11pm-1am I feel properly awake. But it’s not time you really want to start doing stuff and get out of warm bed.

Do you have radio or TV keep you company @OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack I do like talk radio such a massive help and company.

Hello 👋

I haven't been on for a bit but I was on the early threads.

I'm doing hypnotherapy on Friday as a pain management treatment - I'll report back though I imagine it will be information taking not full hypnosis.

I'm on month two of medical cannabis aswell - it did help a bit initially to help me off coedine but it seems to have plataued.

Life is hard and I'm so desperate for solutions as you can see!

Wishing you the best of luck with your hypnotherapy sessions ❤️

I'm more nervous for the hypnosis than any of the horrible scary procedures I've had. Worried there's emotional trauma causing my chronic pain.

My insurance are covering it but it's under "pain management" which is a limited pot so might have to pay some myself.

The cannabis is through a consultant at a private clinic - it's soooo expensive.

I'm working to pay for treatments at the moment but I just can't live like this.

What was physio assessment for? To decide if you Would benefit from a longer course of physio?

Had take more pain killers from stash the putting off wrangling GP and meds situation is getting closer and closer. It shouldn’t feel like going into battle but it does!

Very overcast here so flat all gloomy I shall have close curtains and put light on by 4. Must get my SAD light on

@Akire yes, that's it. It's also to access what I need help with generally 🙂

I think they need to access you first as I was referred by my GP.

Dark and gloomy here too. Just waiting outside school for DD. Going to get her hair washed when we get home then hibernate.

It makes me really angry when we all seem to have to go into battle for my meds. I've got access to my patient record online. As soon as I see them add "this medication needs to be reviewed" against my codeine, I add a note "this medication is prescribed by my Consultant Rheumatologist for chronic pain" and it's never questioned. If anyone new ever comes to the practice and dares question me, they will wish they bloody hadn't.

Totally understand that they have to look at these things in case Steve who hurt his shoulder 2 years ago is still popping them, but ffs, read people's notes.

I've had two months on the cannabis as it's enabled me to drop down from 6 coedine a day but I still experience constant pain. My GP are happy to prescribe it but I felt uncomfortable on such a high volume of tablets. It's such a minefield.

I thought medically cannabis was only for tiny handful of qualifying conditions so you must have one?

My consultant rushed me
Out before ask about meds and stupid cream is on week 5 of 6 hasn’t done anything. Then I’m having 6 weeks with nothing before see him.

Least it’s nearly Friday. Don’t work but you never quite lose that hooray it’s a Friday feeling! Trying to think of something cheer myself up weekend. I may get some
Cheapy flowers. What’s your go to self treat?

I pay for it through a private clinic - I was referred by my pain management consultant.

Agh I'm sorry you felt rushed out, can you call and request the item you missed?

Report
Akire · 03/02/2022 17:22

No because I don’t know what I missed he just diagnosed nerve damage for the reason for acute pain but didn’t suggest Meds for this or any proper pain killers. I know one anti depressant many on here are on for
It.
