So what did everyone have in their advent calendars today then?

I had a toy aeroplane in mine, and ds had a fireplace in his (ones with just a picture). Ds also has a Playmobil police one - he had a robber in that today.

As usual ds and I are having our advent calendar competition with our picture advent calendars. We have gueesed what will be in the windows each day. We get 2 points for the correct item on the correct day, and 1 point for an item that we guessed but on the wrong day.

So far it's SoMuch - 0 points, ds - 0 points!

My mum bought calendars for the DCs, and I am deeply ungrateful. They've got 25 windows on them, for a start. And there's no picture inside the window - once the chocolate's out, there's nothing to see here. And the chocolates aren't contained properly. DS1 had no chocolate behind his window because it had slipped away. We shook the box a bit, and promptly had 2! And DS2 has just pinched a chocolate out of DD's while she's at school.

Fortunately, ds2's godmother has come up trumps with a beautiful nativity scene with characters to add each day. (And no crappy chocolate) The star shines brightly over the stable.

Chocolate - a cracker shape apparently, but it was eaten so quickly that I couldn't verify that!

we had a little note that said "put the christmas lights up". So we did, and DS (2.9) said "oh my goodness" when they started twinkling

I had a wooden toy train, DS had a tree from th e Playmobil one ,and a chocolate ball from his clth one. He then preceeded to undo more boxes and I caught him hiding the tissue paper I had wrapped some beans in, about four bits

So I've been puttinf pieces back in the boxes. I've forgot about the Nativity one from last year

Oh no I've forgotten to put the Playmobil advent calender together, it will take me a few hours won't it? Fortunately my children are still young enough not to notice if the calender starts a couple of days late.
