What did you get for Christmas?

For those of us lucky enough to receive presents, did you get anything nice? We all rally around our kids as we should, but what about you.
I got 5 new books, 2 charms for my bracelet, a travel coffee mug, and a switch game I’ve been wanting for a while - yes I’m one of those 30 somethings who enjoys playing 😀what did you get?

Calcutta cup rugby ticket, a couple of books, coffee beans and merino layers for skiing!

It was my sons turn to buy for me in our secret santa. As theres only me and DH and our 2 dcs who are 20 and 21 we do a secret santa. I give you latex lobster claws and a naked mole rat. I bet no one else got these.😂

Nope your quite right I didn't get those presents although they are lovely.

I got a lovely photo book DS1 made of our last family holiday.

A sand art thing, very retro but I love it and a Wheres Wally book from DH. Where's Wally was a bit left field and I can never find him but it's the thought that counts.

A lovely painting of my childhood homeland. A retro tartan thermos flask. A book from my childhood. Some chocolate I can actually eat and like. Some wild not farmed smoked salmon.

A beautiful self portrait of one of the little ones I used to foster and a lovely day with my current small person. I will be seeing my birth children next weekend when my daughter hosts us all for Christmas round 733 so we will exchange gifts then too.

I got a number of really lovely things, but the best thing I got was one hell of a good time, laughing until I thought I was going to vomit.

Just the three of us, adult child and their partner and me. But we know how to (and value of) a good old belly laugh.

PAUL SIMON tickets from DH. I am thrilled to bits, my love affair with Paul Simon has been going on all my life.

I’m always spoilt. I had a gorgeous gold paperchain necklace and tiny bracelet dh bought from a different retailer as I have teeny wrists. Poison perfume which is my absolute favourite. A velvet coat and funky socks. I also had vintage Enid blyton books that are completely gorgeous. From my children I had a seagull salt and pepper set and my eldest had framed a favourite prince single from back in the day that he’d found at my mums house. Lush gifts.

I got an amazon gift card. I used it to buy the deptq books as i love the netflix series. I can start reading them on the ipad tomorow.

Pjs, fluffy socks, new dressing gown, travel coffee cop & costa gift card, chocolates, perfume & a book. We don’t do big gifts to each other just smaller / practical / things we need from the kids.

it wasn’t even extra virgin but was in a plastic bag to prevent leaks.

I got a new Apple Watch from my DH to replace my old one which had died, that I’d been meaning to get repaired by Apple so that’s a lovely surprise.

i also got the new Harlan Coben & Reese Witherspoon book that I wanted as well as an hourglass eyeshadow palette and a new t shirt I wanted from a little independent label
