Festive greetings to all and everyone. We're so close! I've just got a few last minute bits of wrapping to go and I hope everything is all bought. The Christmas food shop is arriving on Tuesday, the gingerbread house is being baked tomorrow and cinnamon buns are on my list of things to make before the week is out! Massive Christmas wishes to each and every one of you.

This post is a work in process and if you have any links you’d like to share or would be good to add then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links (is that the right word?) And any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of mn filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!

If you have any referral links then please post on this thread here and share around the joy/referral perks.

@Yalzthank you! Just grabbed one of these for the present stash

Thanks for that, just ordered for my DSil for her birthday.

Got some bits today in RL. Snowflake earrings from M&S, said they were 50% off but went through the till at £2.49.(Originally £8.50)

Checked Sainsbury’s again to see what they had, not much but got this lovely diffuser for £4.65 which I’m keeping for myself! They had rolls of Christmas wrapping paper for 75p.

Also got a couple of bits from TG Jones for presents which were half price.

I had a look in our local B&M but there wasn’t much in terms of presents.

Asda instore have packs of gift tags down to 10p and 20 pack of cards down to 30p. All christmas themed obviously!! Oh and I overheard staff saying they have packs of crackers for 30p.

DirtyGertiefromno30 · 06/01/2026 15:01

M&S is reducing some of its things to 70% off. It’s going on at the moment, and prices can be less in your basket than on the previous page, but the price changes may all be settled by the time sensible people are awake.

It appears to be M&S own brands, apart from Beauty, so I filtered by those, but there may be more which I didn’t look for.

Some Beauty items which were only available in store are back on the site, eg the Clinique sets which were £42+ are now £13.79. No Estée Lauder to buy online, but it might be worth a visit to s store today, especially as they might not be marked down on the shelf but ring up for less on the till.

Boots £10 Tuesday is running as usual.

@Yalz Thanks so much for the M&S tip- managed to get a perfume set and a few clothes.

Thanks for this perfect for Mother’s Day

Cornish Company is selling its Christmas afternoon tea boxes for half price. This stacks with the 10% off for new customers so I had a letterbox Cornish cream tea delivered for just over £11 with free delivery.

VelvetThunder · 06/01/2026 21:00

For those that liked the candle lamps previously, I've seen that home bargains do a cheap tea light version which looks cute.

Another vote for IRL Sainsbury’s. Went to pick up a TU school uniform order and got
2 x 7 pack of nice cards for 25p per pack
2 x quizzes in a mini box (books and nature) £1 each
1 x key ring riddle questions for 90p
Quite a lot of wrap for 75p but I’ve got leftover from this year so didn’t purchase

burblish · 06/01/2026 23:08

I managed to get a few rolls of Christmas wrapping paper from Morrisons (15p instead of £1.50) - they didn't have any in my local branch in the days after Christmas, so I assumed they'd all been snapped up before I got there, but then they had a load more out at the weekend. Limited designs, but so cheap! (No gift tags or cards, though.)

Yalz · 07/01/2026 01:26

Possibly of interest if you have a generously-sized Manchester City fan, or one who doesn’t mind wearing very large clothing: The Oodie has a zip through outer jacket apparently reduced from £139 to £19. The only size left is OOD, which apparently is their old ‘one size’ and measures almost 71” across the chest. There’s also an Aston Villa one in a better range of sizes for £49.

Postage £5.99 or free for £50+

Just a heads up for anyone who ordered from Whistlefish after Christmas. My second order has just arrived and I am missing 2 cards (not Christmas cards, their usual greetings cards). I have dropped them an email but just a heads up really in case you put them away without checking and then find out too late to do anything about it when you come to use a particular one for a birthday

I had one card missing from my order, after getting in touch they did refund the money, but definitely worth checking.

MamaClausToTheRescue · 07/01/2026 14:14

An extra 30% off at Puma (including sale stuff) with the code FFSPDCT - this brings things like some of the sale tracksuit bottoms for teens down to an amazing £9 so fill your boots!

Mines arrived today and all intact and even a free tin I wasn’t expecting so that was a nice surprise

Goingincirclesstill · 07/01/2026 16:25

I've had to argue with Radio Times today as took £52....apparently as they quite rudely told me, it was in the terms and conditions. I did also point out that they started many weeks too early and I was getting duplicate copies of at least three issues. I would stay clear of them in the future. Apparently getting a refund so fingers crossed it happens..

ClemFandangosHair · 07/01/2026 17:48

Worth checking out cashback in your banking app. I have £12 cashback for Riverford so ordered one of the cheaper veg boxes. Make sure to activate first, makes a veg box very good value. Lots of cashback on holiday websites, Argos etc so worth a look before any purchases!

I sent an email to Radio Times some days ago because they took £52 from me, too. I had already gone to cancel but taken up a 6 month subscription for £27:50 ish instead. I’ve had no reply to the email yet.

Despite possibly having a double subscription now I haven’t received a copy at all this week.

Changing the way their subscriptions are managed isn’t working well at all.

Yalz · 07/01/2026 19:08

Unfortunately I really value reading Radio Times, which is why I resubscribed.

MaybeItsTimeForMeNow · 07/01/2026 20:54

@MamaClausToTheRescue thanks for the puma tip, my eldest ds has just got into sporty 'brands' (hes 8) so this was perfect. 2 x joggers, 3 x shorts, 3 t shirts and 2 caps for £50 across my 2 DS. Bargain!

Cos1970 · 07/01/2026 21:38

I wanted to check how long people had waited for Anthropologie orders? I know a few people said they waited quite some time.

I ordered two items on the 29th December and it says they be been dispatched via RM but when I check the tracking information it says that RM are still waiting to receive the items and I’ve had no further notifications.

Daimyum · 07/01/2026 22:00

Went instore to foodhall m&s to pick up my 14.99 perfume set. There was a few gifts reduced by 70%, candles, potpurri etc. It is a small store,so check the ones near you. Also the xmas cards were 90% off

Talisin · 08/01/2026 13:07

My M&S fragrance wardrobe order just arrived and it feels even more of a stonking bargain now it’s actually in my hands! It’s in perfect condition so it’s getting put away for a friend’s September birthday (BBD is 2028). Thanks so much to @hby9628 for pointing it out.
