How long has everyone got off for Christmas

How long has everyone got off work for Christmas? I'm a stay at home mum but my husband finishes on the 23rd and goes back the 5th January

Me: 12/12/25 to 27/01/26 - yep, I’m a university student
Husband: 17/12/25 - 06/01/26 - also a student

Apart from the four assignments I need to complete, lucky me!

Supposed to finish on the 18th, back on the 5th.

But I work with a team in the US who I fully expect will contact me the week of Christmas, despite being told I’m on leave.

Obvs use annual leave to get such a long break.

Husband is off 18th - 5th

Finish the 19th until the 2nd Jan.

Partner, same as you.
Me finish 23rd, in 30 and 31 then off until 5th. I've not used any annual leave.

Back on January 5th

I'm the head of a tax department (in the UK )so I will be working all the way through in the run up to the 31 Jan filing deadline. And yes that includes most of Christmas Day and Boxing Day. HMRC don't allow Christmas as an excuse for late filing. I always have the first week in Feb off to compensate.

half day 24th, back 2nd Jan. I’m taking holiday as that Friday will be pointless.

I’m very lucky last day 19th back on 6th: we are shut down between Xmas and new year so don’t need to use up much leave to have two weeks off
dh only has one week off so is working w/c 29th, minus the 1st

I finish 0645hrs on the 25th and go back at 0600hrs on the 27th!

24th - 5th. That’s plenty

Had to use some annual leave but have built flexi and our place gives Christmas Eve as a freebie day off. So finished 22nd not back until 5th. Cannot wait.

We have 24th to 3rd inclusive but I'm taking 22nd/23rd and 5th as the DCs are off school and I don't work Fridays. So 18th I finish and 6th I'll go back.
I am so exhausted, really need it.

Technically I finish on the 19th and go back on the 5tth, but I'll have lots of work to do during that time.

Finish 19th then back in on 29th. Others team members will finish 24th and be back on 5th. Public sector.

I finished on 11th December and going back on 5th January.

im a senior leader in a charity with a ton of TOIL to use up.

Finish 23rd at 1.30pm and back in again on 26th 9.30am.

I have 4 days off from the 1st Jan, so I can't complain.

16th Dec to 5th Jan but I've had no backup all year so taking holiday has been impossible.

22-26 I am envious of everyone taking so much time off!

I'm term time, finish 20th December and back 5th January.

Finish on the 19th back in 29th hopefully a quiet week mostly wfh. I'm in an office based role but the company is open / povides a service 24/7 so need to be available if staff need me even tho im not client facing

We work for ourselves so probably going to wind up from next Friday until the 6th but we always keep things ticking over. Do an hour here and there.

Just over 2 weeks, I finish up this Thursday.

25th and 26th here too plus NYD. Technically the 26th isn’t off as I don’t work Fridays. But I don’t have young children. DH is off 25th to 5th as his company shuts down.
