thanks for the new thread @Reastie!
This post isn’t about a particular bargain or product but just a tip which might save time, money or stress re forgotten gifts as we get closer to Christmas.
You might think you don’t need to order flowers or wine for example, so you ignore all chat about referral links for places like Bloom & Wild, Laithwaites etc.
However, bear in mind that some of these delivery services have brand partnerships and offer multiple categories of gift eg bloom & wild lets you send candles, baking kits, Neom pamper kits, Elizabeth Scarlett pouches / eye masks etc.
Laithwaites has hampers, sweet treats, cheese, tasting kits of gin, whisky etc and other things beside wine.
Those are just a couple of examples - the point is just to think laterally about how you can use these referral discounts to your own benefit to send something quicker, cheaper (or higher value for the same price) when ticking presents off the list.
Sometimes you get free nominated delivery day too.
The reason I am posting this is because I’ve just realised that (with a referral discount), it’s going to be cheaper for me to do this and send a nice box of brownies, a candle or an afternoon tea than to package up and post a small gift I was intending to give someone (after missing the last opportunity to give it to them in person😟) and be sure it arrives before Christmas.
That’s all - just a reminder that sometimes it’s worth looking at the referrals which are on the other board to see what you might be able to use them for beyond the obvious.
