Thread 20 - the one with Christmas?

I'm taking a punt that this one might see us until Christmas. Will likely live to be proved wrong but let's go with the punt!

The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links (is that the right word?) And any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of mn filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!

If you have any referral links then please post on this thread here and share around the joy/referral perks.

Just ordered this not Lego Magical creature for £10

reviews are good but say it’s complicated to put together - so not for younger Lego fans

Just had this from John Lewis, could be useful for some, especially if buying very spendy items!

Sorry, should have added that code is DECSAVE

Jellybum2019 · 12/12/2025 18:18

This could be a lovely stocking filler/little extra for a 5/6/7 year old for either Christmas or for the birthday pile!

any recommendations for a nice hamper, say £30/40 please?

HeartandSeoul · 12/12/2025 19:13

Sorry if this has already been asked, but is the Holland and Barrett code ‘SOPHIE’ no longer valid? I saw a post from someone saying they placed an order with it this am.

I’ve tried it on the app and on the website, but it doesn’t appear to be working, but I’m not sure if there were certain conditions that I have missed. Thanks

ASOS is your best friend with teenage boys imo - they have near weekly sales and discount codes. I wouldn't suggest buying anything full price except maybe the big brands like Birkenstock

I'm still hunting for the ASOS code that was posted last thread. It was for 20 or 25% off. Anyone know it?

Was the website jersey4u? I’m trying to find my order email

JerseyOO on my email but Royal Mail confirmed the package was from UL International Logistics Ltd.

I ordered on 19th November, had a despatch notice on the 1st December & delivered yesterday the 11th.

Gettingthereslowly1 · 12/12/2025 20:03

I’m thinking 14-20 🤣

Took me a while, but good point.

<old gimmer alert> reminds me of Club 18 - 30 from back in the 1980's!

Superdrug have their Artiscent Atelier scents on offer. They're normally £12 (often on 3 for 2 mind) but are £5 at the moment, with buy one get one half price, so 2 for £7.50 which is wild.

I was recommended these by someone in the business. They apparently use the same perfume house as the big names, & are reknown for their strength/sticking power/ similarity to the known scents etc. They're also vegan & don't test on animals (many perfumes use musk which is an animal product).

I was hunting for something like my beloved perfume (discontinued 😕) & these are very nice. None match my scent, but one is an excellent dupe for my sister's favourite & she loves it for work.
Ive ordered for her & a stocking filler for teen DS who doesn't care if it's designer.

Free click & collect

I have a question for the hive mind, please:

I’m fairly new to role (& company) with about 8 direct reports in my team. Historically I’ve always given a bottle of something (or naice chocs for non drinkers) to each of my team, but we are quite geographically dispersed, and I realised that I’ve missed the opportunity to do anything in person before Christmas.

Budget is around the £10pp mark, which obviously goes a lot further when I’m not paying for P&P! Seriously kicking myself right now.

Do you have any suggestions a) for gifts and b) for sellers / suppliers? I have Prime, so I guess that is an option.

Thanks in advance. Off to beat myself up a bit more…..

I’d do a nice box of chocs per person from Amazon for that budget. Lindt is usually a decent option -

May have been mentioned elsewhere, but I’ve just used code 2for1 on Abbot Lyon and got cheapest item free.

Also Superdrug I ordered a Nivea men’s advent calendar for £12.50, which will be useful for travel minis.

Very similar situation and I’ve sent some of this type of beer gift direct from Amazon before to some folk in my team for around the same price - there’s a few different options.

Posted too, soon…
meant to also add thanks to whoever mentioned buying fahlo bracelets from Just Jonah- they arrived quickly and look an ok size for tweens.

Isadora2007 · 12/12/2025 22:23

Im so confused… why is this likely to be the thread with Christmas? The other thread was only started on Dec 5th… so less than a week to fill it. And it’s two weeks til Christmas pretty much… and where did the other 4 threads go??? Thought this was maybe a zombie thread that had been resurrected…

On the bargain front, Lindt site has 25% off stocking fillers with code STOCKING25 until midnight tonight
