Thread 20 - the one with Christmas?

I'm taking a punt that this one might see us until Christmas. Will likely live to be proved wrong but let's go with the punt!

The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links (is that the right word?) And any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of mn filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!

If you have any referral links then please post on this thread here and share around the joy/referral perks.

@Puffalicious the ASOS codes don't tend to stay valid for long. Your best bet is to keep an eye on the website/app for new discounts. I know they send out 20% birthday codes so maybe worth signing up with an imminent birthday?

IlovePond · 12/12/2025 22:54

@Slater22 - if you do a Google Lens search of your image loads of similar woolly hats come up.

Gettingthereslowly1 · 12/12/2025 23:00

Does anyone else use these threads to buy for themselves too? I don’t spend a lot of money on myself but I put a couple of hundred £ away every year to treat myself from these threads, I look forward to it all year. Today I treated myself to a mountain warehouse coat and some Superdrug perfume, I got a Uniqlo bag on the weekend, a cheese advent calendar last week and before that some Levi’s, benefit makeup and a power bank. Never would have been able to afford all of that without the massive discounts. So thanks all, not just for the money you save me on Christmas gifts but also for the treats I’m able to buy myself ❤️

Yep! I found these threads first year of being a single parent. I treat myself to bargains I never would have before and I have to say that since becoming single and finding these threads I've never had more perfect Christmas gifts 😂

I’m hoping for help from the hive mind. I need to buy a couple of vinyl albums and can’t seem to find anywhere with a discount. Has anyone come across any? 🙏🏽

Yes! Single parent here, the threads are amazing and help me treat myself. This year I've got Roka bags and Hotel Chocolat goodies 😊

Those of you looking at dupe perfumes I’ve just ordered off the premium fragrance (haven’t used them before so can’t recommend yet) but I got a 30% off code xmas30 which brought my alien dupe down to just over £10 and free delivery

I've always gone for the 3 for £66 deal at HMV. Some of the albums are £40 each so it can work out quite a good deal depending which artists you're looking for

Im so confused… why is this likely to be the thread with Christmas? The other thread was only started on Dec 5th… so less than a week to fill it. And it’s two weeks til Christmas pretty much… and where did the other 4 threads go??? Thought this was maybe a zombie thread that had been resurrected…

On the bargain front, Lindt site has 25% off stocking fillers with code STOCKING25 until midnight tonight

In the past, a lot of people tended to be 'done' around now, so the thread usually goes quite quiet with the last one of the year lasting a couple of weeks, so that's what Reastie was betting on. I'll keep an eye and let her know if we need another one, which I agree, we might in a week.

I think Thread number 20 (instead of 15) is probably a typo. She's been poorly, and not on the threads much herself, so probably rushing to create the thread and made a mistake.

Hereslookinatyoukid · 13/12/2025 07:15

Just looking at Argos and spotted this pair of pop up goals half-price at £15. They look like a good deal for primary aged children or pre-schoolers.

I’ve got a voucher through - £5 off £50 or £10 of £100 if anyone wants it.

This is a code if you are buying full price shoes UKWE10-yvZGYMtm5

Does anyone have a code that would give further discount on the sale shoes?

lifelongfrugaleer · 13/12/2025 08:04

Someone was asking about CC delivery and mine took 10 days to arrive. I did get a sorry it’s delayed message and a packing / dispatch message. I ordered on 30 Nov, asked for 2 Dec and it arrived 8 Dec

Glad yours is on its way. Mine still just shows as we are expecting it.
I think I will have to go through PayPal for a refund.

Thank you to the poster of the sick shop deal! My socks all need replacing for various reasons (can't remember the last time I replaced them) so I treated myself to a ton lovely bamboo socks and some loungewear- about £100 of things for £41!

Placed my order yesterday and they are already on the way. Aside from a cancelled Biscuiteers order on an earlier thread, I have been pretty blessed with good deliveries this year.

KillashandraRee · 13/12/2025 08:16

Does anyone have any good recommendations for food gifts that can be sent to family? Ideally £40-60. I’m panicking!

I received the M & S afternoon tea (£20) as a gift and I was impressed!
