Teenage girls: must-have items this year?

XelaM · 14/10/2025 09:56

Every year the Christmas lists of many of the teenage girls (my own included) have quite often very similar must-have trending items. So what are they this year? I haven't got my 15-year-old daughter's list yet but trying to get a few items early. She's into all the trendy make-up and usual TikTok nonsense.

Mine is after a North face jacket which I think is so pricey 😬

Littlenest88 · 17/10/2025 00:37

I am sick and tired of all this trendy stuff. I don’t have a teenager or any children, but if I did, I would not be encouraging all of this consumerism and waste

Powerof321 · 17/10/2025 01:06

My 15 year old wants a lulu melon jacket - anyone know what the sizing is like? (& does any one any idea what jacket lol?)

she also wants gymshark leggings again any ideas on sizing? Reluctant to order clothes as she is usually a nightmare getting stuff to fit.

typically wears a 6 or 8 or xs but is only 5”3

Zofloramummy · 17/10/2025 01:41

My 14yr old wants a handbag shaped
like a book (we saw them in Hay on Wye in the summer), a Xmas charm for her bracelet and some books.

Gently, this might not be the thread for you.

Then why are you on a thread about must have items for a teen girl?

Which instant camera printer do you recommend?
16 (going on 20) year old who likes to actually print photos

i Was looking at the instax Evo but Kodak is on sale on Amazon and so much cheaper

There’s usually some offers on north face on JD around Black Friday time. Got DS a north face puffer jacket for around £60 last year but to be fair it’s warm and well made and it’s lasted really well.

dontcomeatme · 17/10/2025 06:43

Fluffy jackets/coats are definitely on the rise

BeeandG · 17/10/2025 07:15

So useful thank you. My y7 nearly 12yr old dd has mentioned a lot of these brands but good to get an insight. We are off to London next weekend specifically to visit Brandy Melville!

My 14 year old DD could do with some more jumpers / hoodies, so I thought I'd get some cool mum points and look at Brandy Melville. The hoodies look like plain zip ups that I could get in New Look or Sainsbury's! I was expecting some kind of logo or feature to distinguish them from other brands. Am I missing something?! And they only seem to come in one size, is that right?

Perhaps I'm not a cool mum after all 🤣

Brandy Melville stuff is all one size only, so yes that's right! Not very inclusive for non-slender teens.

That is a seriously AMAZING price

I bought uggs last year on the Australian site, had to wait a couple of weeks but arrived no problem and saved £50+

Did you not get stung on import duty?

Latitudeohyeah · 17/10/2025 07:28

What is the sizing for a White Fox hoodie?
My dd is 11, would love one for xmas, she’s slim and petite.

Many of their items are rather oversized. I am a size 16 menopausal woman and wear Brandy Melville sometimes. Not their teeny tiny tank tops mind 😂

According to my teen DD, their sizes used to be small, but people complained and now they made them bigger. She complains that their tops which used to be fitted are now too big.

Mine isn't interested in most of the above so here's her 15th birthday and Christmas list in order of desire.

She'll get Spotify, the watch and books but not necessarily everything else.

  • Spotify subscription
  • Watch
  • books, books and more books
  • leather cuff bracelet (but we're struggling to find a suitable one)
  • shark nail stickers
  • money!
  • bed socks
  • switch games but can only think of Just Dance
  • doc Martins
  • lush perfume. I cant remember which one but one of the masculine ones
  • Hoodies, hoodies and more hoodies (but with no visible branding which is really hard!)
  • Almost anything from Damaged Society

Over the year I've put away the following:

  • a The Spicery noodle kit
  • bubble tea kit
  • paper cutting fox kit
  • a resin shark lamp (Facebook bargain!)
  • snow globe (tradition!)
  • duvet set

She also needs a new hot water bottle.

Her phone had been dying for a while and we were hoping to get a new one for her birthday but it stopped working completely a few weeks ago so needed replacing.

Lovewine1975 · 17/10/2025 09:13

My 13 year old DD has asked for UGGs and Converse trainers but that is it so far, sure there is plenty more to come!

DucksInARowingBoat · 17/10/2025 09:17

She also asked for a trip to a theme park but for various reasons I dont think that will happen.
