Teenage girls: must-have items this year?

Every year the Christmas lists of many of the teenage girls (my own included) have quite often very similar must-have trending items. So what are they this year? I haven't got my 15-year-old daughter's list yet but trying to get a few items early. She's into all the trendy make-up and usual TikTok nonsense.

Yes definitely they're all different. I have 3 teen girls and one of them wouldn't be interested in the trends (would much prefer things related to horses and Harry Potter) but just posting about the trending items that the other 2 and their friends are much more into.

There is a vinyl record phase up here amongst DD and her friends (NE) so she's getting vouchers to an independent record store from grandparents.

For her bday a trip to Ikea to do her room out eg plants/pictures/rugs etc.

My 12 yr old yr 8 has asked for white fox, montirex top, new balance trainers, tree hut scrub, Ariana grande perfume p Louise lip duo maybelline make up jewellery star face patches and primark fleecy pjs and some of that list makes me go “ouch”

I’m clueless and just hope she gives me a list.

i bought her a Dandy hoodie last year and thought she was LOVE it as it is absolutely gorgeous, beautiful colour and really good quality, but she has barely worn it and thinks it’s too big? She usually likes big things too so I’m not sure why but she really doesn’t like it so that was a flop from last Christmas.

I have had the worst experience with Vinted. I am sure there are genuine people on there but everything I have purchased has been a fake or a disaster.

My 13 year DD loves Victorias Secret and Hollister. Thanks for the heads up on the jumper.

We have had loads of great stuff for DH. Men’s stuff seems to be better for some reason.
I wouldn’t risk buying the jumpers though. As loads in different colours that can be bought very cheaply from places like DH Gate & Hacoo.

White fox still acceptable for my year 9 DD. Dd has slightly different tastes to her main friend group, they are into Hollister, Ralph Lauren, Longchamp where as dd is very much into Juicy Couture would love a velour track suit which I’ve got along with a bunch of other JC bits, earrings, perfume and I’m looking at possibly getting her a bag. The popular makeup brands, Glow recipe, Glossier, Rare Beauty etc. The main thing she wants though is a new vanity and a projector for her room.

If you can get the UO Harri navy pinstripe on eBay or Vinted then major brownie points 😉 as they’ve been discontinued but my teen is all over them!!

Any links to the off the shoulder hollister jumper that is recommended? There are so many on the site!

Yes the Dandy hoodies are absolutely gorgeous alright, maybe I just want one myself!😁

one weird thing though, it was cheaper to order 2 individually than to order 2 together. Isn’t that very strange? I only ended up ordering one because of this. But as I mentioned, it’s really beautiful a gorgeous green colour but my daughter doesn’t like it at all.

My DD is y11 and obviously a different breed - she wants cds (yes, physical copies) -she loves Britpop, Fleetwood mac and Abba! - cute flowery dresses, chunky Mary Janes, chunky cardis, Korean skincare and beauty stuff. Also tickets for bands (she is thrilled that we are going to see Florence and the Machine in Feb).

shes asked for rare beauty but I’ve already maxed on budget so maybe I’ll ask DS if he wants to get that for her.
Fenty products which are ridiculously pricey.

jellycats - I’ve already got her one and I’ve kept £50 from the budget as she wants the new bunny one getting released in a snowsuit

she’s also asked for an Apple Watch as she’s been through about 3 fitbits and the battery keeps going.

also new dunks or Jordan’s but I’m waiting until I visit the outlets to cover that one because she’s now in ladies sizes so it’s more expensive
she’s also asked for just dance 2026 on switch which actually just arrived today.

this was only a quarter. She’s a damn site easier than my DS though. At least I’ve got choice.

DD is 13 (yr 8) and so far has only said she wants Adidas trainers, which I think MIL may get. So far, I’ve got for her:

Sol de J 68 minis;
Byoma skincare and body wash sets from Boots;
I’ll add some makeup minis I’ve got in various makeup boxes from M&S that I won’t use myself — eg Benefit minis, lip gloss etc.;
I’ve got her a few books;
Also have got her a silver bracelet and necklace from Estella Bartlett and a new purse/cardholder;
And some new hairbrushes for her lengthy hair styling sessions 😆

For clothes I generally anyway (not especially for Christmas) buy her a mixture of basics from H&M and Uniqlo, and then bits and pieces from Hollister, Urban Outfitters etc. on Vinted. Might ask her if there is a hoodie she wants for Christmas. My sister will probably get her a Jellycat.

Add some chocolate and some stocking fillers; but I don’t know what else to get her! I will probably get the new Taylor Swift album on CD — Taylor still going strong in Y8 here (but I’m kind of hoping she doesn’t get into vinyl as collecting it is super expensive….)

For those that have the RL cable knit jumper- how do they size? And are they worn looser or not? It’s a lot to spend so I’d not want to get the wrong size if I decide that’s the wow gift this year.

@fourelementary mine has a medium, she's a size 10 but biggish chest. I would only go smaller if they don't mind it a bit clingy.

@OhCobblers mine is after the baby pink ones but they're only in size Xs or xxs.

Thanks for this post OP. I want to get my niece a voucher as very in to sports brands Nike and Adidas, what voucher do I buy which would give access to these brands (not JD sports).

Does she have a shopping centre near by? If so then a centre voucher maybe better than specific shop.

My not usually trend following younger teen has asked for Adidas VL court trainers after seeing other friends with them.
