Teenage girls: must-have items this year?

XelaM · 14/10/2025 09:56

Every year the Christmas lists of many of the teenage girls (my own included) have quite often very similar must-have trending items. So what are they this year? I haven't got my 15-year-old daughter's list yet but trying to get a few items early. She's into all the trendy make-up and usual TikTok nonsense.

My youngest vaguely mentioned something from P Louise a few weeks ago and now their BF sale is on I can’t bloody remember. There was definitely a swear in the name (charming!)

Any other young teens asked for anything from there to give me any hints? I’d rather not get it than get the wrong thing.

TIA!

Just to add - the only make up she would wear would be on her lips so must have been a lip thing she asked for

Bad bitch energy lip duo. It’s 3 for £22. It’s 3 for £22 all year round though they make out they are doing a great deal for Black Friday even though that’s the usual price.

Those in the know on the jets frans joggers. Firstly, my daughter is 14, 5ft 4in and about a size 8-10, what size should I go for? And secondly, what is the popular colour/colours to get?
thanks so much

Stowickthevast · 24/11/2025 08:55

@Georgieporgie29 my 13 year old is a similar height but more like a 6-8 and has Xs. 16 year old is a bit taller and 8-10 and has S.

Colour wise, I think any are good - mine have navy, pale blue and pink between them. I think the most common ones are navy and grey.

Stowickthevast · 24/11/2025 08:58

Actually I've just checked and eldest has one in S and one in XS - both seem fine. Even the XS is very baggy.

Georgieporgie29 · 24/11/2025 12:34

@Stowickthevast thank you so much for this. I was between the xxs and xs I think, and also for the colours. I know she would wear the grey ones but she has so many grey joggers so I think I’ll go for one of the other lovely colours

Might be better as a suggestion for the grandparents or aunts/uncles, but I find that jewellery is a good option this Christmas. jewelleryforteens.co.uk have lots of nice pieces for under £30 and they do free delivery

XelaM · 27/11/2025 14:03

@FunAnt Ohh jewellery is definitely a good call! My teen has actually asked for jewellery from a website called "Opulent Vogue" which does a lot of dupe designer jewellery. Apparently it's very popular.

Mine isn't interested in most of the above so here's her 15th birthday and Christmas list in order of desire.

She'll get Spotify, the watch and books but not necessarily everything else.

  • Spotify subscription
  • Watch
  • books, books and more books
  • leather cuff bracelet (but we're struggling to find a suitable one)
  • shark nail stickers
  • money!
  • bed socks
  • switch games but can only think of Just Dance
  • doc Martins
  • lush perfume. I cant remember which one but one of the masculine ones
  • Hoodies, hoodies and more hoodies (but with no visible branding which is really hard!)
  • Almost anything from Damaged Society

Over the year I've put away the following:

  • a The Spicery noodle kit
  • bubble tea kit
  • paper cutting fox kit
  • a resin shark lamp (Facebook bargain!)
  • snow globe (tradition!)
  • duvet set

She also needs a new hot water bottle.

Her phone had been dying for a while and we were hoping to get a new one for her birthday but it stopped working completely a few weeks ago so needed replacing.

Edited

Late to this thread, and buying presents! But Damaged Society looks just up my dd's street - thank you! What else does your dd like @DucksInARowingBoat ?

MrsMattSantos · 02/12/2025 09:51

@DucksInARowingBoat Hollister do unbranded hoodies - my DD has 2 and the quality seems decent enough. at the cheaper end H&M and Primark also do hoodies without any branding

I think Blakeley is the new White Fox! Well, it is for my 13-year-old!

Daintydino · 02/12/2025 12:46

I really don’t want to buy another white fox as I do feel they’re a bit over now but my daughter has asked. Do I just get one?

I asked on Style & Beauty if Blakely was 'in' for teens.
Only 1 person replied and said it wasn't.

Since then, I've seen a few people wearing the sweatshirts, all in their 30s and 40s

My dd had Blakeley 2 years ago. She won’t wear it now. I do think it depends where you live in the country as somethings seem to be ‘the in thing’ in one area but definitely out in another. My dd is wanting Adanola again this year but half zip sweatshirts rather than hoodies.

hby9628 · 02/12/2025 22:06

My 15yo has asked for a Des Vu hoodie this year. I’d never heard of it before

themissmiss · 02/12/2025 22:55

Just discovered this wonderful thread! Can anyone here advise on Hollister jeans sizing? My 12 year old is a size 6ish or (if it helps) XXS in iets frans joggers
thank you

MrsMattSantos · 02/12/2025 23:03

@themissmiss Hollister jeans are US sizes, so my DD is usually an 8 but wears a 4 in Hollister. If your DD is a 6 I’d start with a 2

Hollister do have a really good size guide with measurements for each item so that should help. As above the jeans tend to be in US sizes and tops/dresses etc in UK sizes.

UnderThePressure · 03/12/2025 02:06

Older teenage family have asked for Boux Avenue pyjamas & fluffy socks, Abbot Lyon jewellery, Zara perfume, Hollister jumpers/jeans, Redken hair stuff, ELF Skin care, towelling dressing gown, Burts Bees chapsticks, Miffy and Sylvanian Families merch.

If that’s what’s she’s asked for I’d stick to it.

ive asked my 13yo what other brands are her friends wearing, mainly Hollister. I mentioned Blakey and Scuffers she said she’d heard of them but didn’t seem fussed by their hoodies, she’s still happy with her white fox. My dd particularly likes Juicy Coture and is getting a tracksuit for Christmas.

Poonu · 03/12/2025 12:57

JC are on offer in TK maxx

themissmiss · 03/12/2025 13:35

thank you for answers on Hollister jeans!
