This post is a work in process and if you have any links you’d like to share or would be good to add then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links (is that the right word?) And any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of mn filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!

If you have any referral links then please post on this thread https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/5212180-bargain-referrals-thread-7 and share around the joy/referral perks.

Can anyone help find shoes like these for DD? Spotted on a friends floor, River Island, but clearly a long time ago! She says they’re her dream shoes! Size 7.

Someone on the last threat posted about heroes being £4.92 on amazon - just wanted to add that sainsburys had them this week for £4.50 a box (all 4 types) and morrisons has £9 for 2. Even better if you use topcashback for a gift card.

I'm torn between buying some because they are the cheapest I've seen (don't think I even got them that cheap last year) and not, because I'll eat too many!

That was me! This is an even better price that you’ve shared so I’ll look out for those 🥰

Justhereforthechristmasthreads · 02/10/2025 08:31

@WannaBeOrganised @hugsandpugs The Morrisons offer has finished. Currently £6 a tub with a More Card. The 2 for 9 will probably be back. It's already run a couple of times.

The 325g pouches are currently £3 with a More Card in Morrisons. The tubs (certainly of celebrations) are 500g so it's actually currently slightly better to get 2 pouches instead

I would recommend putting the pics you’ve posted into the Google app to do a reverse image search - if you open the app, you click on the camera icon and you can upload pictures. It will then find the image or similar - this is how I find a lot of clothes etc that I randomly see! Might help find something similar.

Justhereforthechristmasthreads · 02/10/2025 09:06

If you use the free prints app you can get a 12x9 canvas print this month just pay £7.99 postage

(Edit for quick comparison 12 x8 on snapfish is £11 plus £5.99 postage. )

@Nellynoo182 depends what kind of decor you're after, we moved earlier this year and I used wall stickers in the kids rooms (Boy 3, girl 1). I'm really impressed with them, they brighten up the rooms until we have the time to decorate properly. Can link if that's the kind of thing you mean?

Oh I just saw they don’t have to be the same - there were a few similar pairs available too although not sure which aspects she loves. Vinted filters are good for narrowing down a search though and you can specify new :-)

Thegirlhasnamechanged · 02/10/2025 10:55

No good savings to offer but thank you to the poster who highlighted the smiggle sale. A great chunk of DCs stocking fillers bought and new lunch boxes (how very festive!)

MentyB · 02/10/2025 11:13

Hi DS is due to start guitar lessons and needs a guitar. I don't want to buy a really spendy one just yet as we aren't sure of his commitment yet. Has anyone here got any knowledge on 3rd avenue guitars?

Qwerty21 · 02/10/2025 11:21

My whistlefish cards arrived with the gorgeous free Santa tin so thank you to whoever posted about that 😊

ILoveCatsAndKittens · 02/10/2025 11:25

Has anyone any ideas for dinosaur gifts for a 10 year old please?!

sillygoof · 02/10/2025 11:43
