This post is a work in process and if you have any links you’d like to share or would be good to add then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links (is that the right word?) And any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of mn filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!

If you have any referral links then please post on this thread https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/5212180-bargain-referrals-thread-7 and share around the joy/referral perks.

Anyone looking for lynx sets for stocking fillers, Asda currently have the huge gift box with 5 shower gels and 5 deodorant sprays for £15 in stock. I believe it was really popular last year and sold out quite quickly.

For those doing stranger things hampers, Tescos also had bits in today. There were some nice ladies jumpers too.

I remembered at the final hour that it was day one of the prime offers 🤦 so dashed online and found

Harry Potter Monopoly. (£18ish)
Mousetrap. (£14ish)
Minecraft set of three jigsaws. (£4ish)

Prices are approximate as I was in a rush to get the order through before I headed to bed. If anyone is interested they may still be on offer, I'm not sure if there are different deals changed at midnight or not? 🤔

If anyone has any good other good board game recommendations for a 6 (almost 7) year old I'm all ears. I also bought a bargainous Minecraft Uno from vinted last week but his birthday is right after Xmas so I have double the present buying, budget stretching pressure!

I haven't read the rest of the thread yet so may already have been covered, but my six year old loves:
zombie kids
sink n sand
gigamons
whot/uno
cluedo jr (it's stolen cake, rather than murder 🤣)
genius square
bugs in the kitchen

I'm considering Yhatzee and kingdomino.

Little board gamers is a good website/Facebook group for game ideas - I'm a bit obsessed in a bid to undo the TV addiction 😬
