Currently rushing to Argos to collect a present I forgot. Hoovering the sofa. Mentally stock checking the fridge.

ProfessionalTeaDrinker · 23/12/2024 19:06

Wrapping
Tidying up
Santa biscuits
Emergency potato run!

HermoinePotter · 23/12/2024 19:07

Nothing except to have a leisurely bath soon. I’ll sleep in tomorrow morning and then we’re off out to meet friends for a late lunch.

MaggieFS · 23/12/2024 19:09

Probably in better shape than most years, but for me tonight:

  • Wrap last third of presents
  • input Sainsbury’s order for delivery tomorrow (all household items/non perishable so nothing critical
  • make sausage rolls

Tomorrow:

  • Collect Turkey
  • deal with said delivery
  • peel veggies and leave in shed on Xmas eve in giant pans of water
  • make Yorkshires
  • make stuffing
Gliblet · 23/12/2024 19:11
  • Wrap DH's presents
  • Wrap stocking gifts
  • Actually remember to write people's sodding cards this year instead of carefully selecting them and then leaving them in a bag in a cupboard under the stairs 🙄
BrieAndChilli · 23/12/2024 19:11

WhitegreeNcandle · 23/12/2024 19:14

Christmas eve eve is one of my favourite days!

Me and my brother went to Asda at 5am and it was very chilled. Grabbed a McDonald's breakfast after. So we both got our "big shops" sorted nice and early. DH was working today so ds (5) helped tidy up and hoover in between playing. I took him to the library and cafe too.

Tomorrow we're baking a chocolate cake and I'll prep a couple of sides for the big day. DH will drop off and collect presents. We'll get a few last minute bits from the local shop. Have a Chinese and lay out the gifts once D's is asleep.

But it's mostly just Christmas telly, nice food, trips to the park.

Bliss!

Eat another cheese board.
Vow to stop.
Eat another tomorrow and then continue to do so until NYD.

Thanks for the reminder about cards!!

Xmas baking for me- finishing the Xmas cake (which is chocolate sponge), baking some chocolate chip cookies and making some biscoff fudge. Dd is helping (eating)

FutureFry · 23/12/2024 19:23

Lol, yes, I need to get on the cheeseboard!

I've got some of the kids' gifts to wrap.

Also, I need to buy a brocoli as the 15p one I got from Tesco 3 days ago is now mouldy.

Plus a good house clean before the in laws arrive on the 25th.

BeBesideTheSea · 23/12/2024 19:24

Make biscuits
Wrap stocking gifts (just in tissue paper)
Pack

Kattuccino · 23/12/2024 19:25

I'm going to do The Big Food Shop in an hour or so, after I've eaten. I was at work up until Friday, away all weekend and my parents are both injured/ill 😣 so I've spent today helping them. I am therefore a bit behind and trying not to panic!

Lamelie · 23/12/2024 19:26

Collect two parcels- dd’s main presents from the post office

Fill stockings.
Buy washing up liquid- we’ve run out!

Chipshopninja · 23/12/2024 19:27

Wrap DS last minute twitch present which arrived today

Eat cheese
Drink wine
Repeat!

PumpkinPie2016 · 23/12/2024 19:27

Bit of wrapping (I actually don't mind wrapping)

Quick whizz round with the hoover - already hoovered thoroughly so just a last minute go round.

That's about it really.

My parents are popping in to drop presents off mid afternoon but not loads to do for that as we are seeing them properly boxing day.

So mostly, chilling out, play with ds and watch something festive.

MonopolyQueen · 23/12/2024 19:27

Get the “nice” crockery and serving dishes out, and make sure the glasses and cutlery are all polished and nice.

tidy up

dash to supermarket for some bits and pieces

Witchywoo41 · 23/12/2024 19:28

I’m all done! Early night tonight I’m knackered! Tomorrow I need to pick up
some milk and will check the veg - I’m worried about the 8p veg and seeing a pp has a mouldy broccoli I’ll be checking everything even more carefully!

merry Christmas everyone!!

Crikeyalmighty · 23/12/2024 19:28

Present wrapping only -I always do it Xmas Eve

TwinkleLights24 · 23/12/2024 19:29

For the first time ever… Nothing. I got it all done early this year.

VictorianScreenTime · 23/12/2024 19:30

Wrap a few more presents,
make stuffing, last bit of laundry and a final half day of work tomorrow then done!

Just me, DH and the DC for Christmas Eve and Day and I am so looking forward to it😊

TheOriginalCrazyLady · 23/12/2024 19:30

Change all the bedding tomorrow, tidy the kids bedrooms & run the vacuum cleaner round the whole house & just a bit of a general tidy / wipe down. Before trying to tire the children out for bedtime.

Peanut91 · 23/12/2024 19:31

I have one present to wrap, Yule log to fill and my nails to do this evening and then I'm all done and ready
