I’ve got my husband a new aftershave, new boxers & socks (boring but practical), a new coat, some gym stuff/protein stuff, new watch as his broke and he uses one to track his runs/sessions, and then some little bits for him from our daughter.

TENSsion · 01/12/2024 12:17

3 aftershaves- it’s all he ever asks for and he likes a choice
wild deodorant and shower gel with black reusable dispensers
new trainers
joggers
joke t shirt to wear around the house
Bulldog skin care
all new socks (10 pairs so all his old ones can be thrown out)
a big bag of nice coffee beans
and money tissues and Tony’s chocolate in his stocking

Oh and a nice new jumper from Zara

Needanewname42 · 01/12/2024 12:19

A new tablet we are both getting new ones. Maybe a game for PS.

I'm really struggling for birthday ideas and it's a big birthday- at the moment - I might get a BBQ!

Spagettifunctional · 01/12/2024 12:20

A decathlon voucher
designer jumper
few toiletries
don’t really know what else at this stage

ImageMirror · 01/12/2024 12:20

I’ve got DP-
a north face coat
a voucher to climb the o2
a portable blender
a Vans jumper
running magazine subscription
a base layer top
personalised park run band with his barcode on
socks
park run top
a new diary

seems a lot but just feels really boring. We got Lana del Rey tickets last week, wish I’d got them as a surprise but didn’t think until afterwards!

SleepingStandingUp · 01/12/2024 12:21

He always gets socks and a toblerone. Also got him a guitar pic (a fancy one) and a book on art. No idea what else. I'll let the kids pick something too

DappledThings · 01/12/2024 12:23

Nothing. Don't do adult presents. I talked him out of it after about our second Christmas together.

Purplecatshopaholic · 01/12/2024 12:28

We don’t really do much in the way of presents - one or two things we know will be appreciated and that’s it. I got DP a ridiculously expensive art book that I know he wants. I know he’s got me a bracelet as I told him the one to get, lol.

MadamDicey · 01/12/2024 12:45

We haven't bought each other Xmas gifts for years now , we have an ancient campervan , which is due MOT in january , then Tax and insurance, so that's our gifts to each other

CoffeeChocolateWine · 01/12/2024 12:46

I bought the Stanley coffee travel mug for DH for his birthday last month th and he's been really pleased with it so far (he's been through a few in the past few years!)

For Christmas I've got him...
Apple pencil
A fully-reflective cycling jacket (these are really clever because they look grey but are fully reflective)
Bottle of Disaronno
I want to choose him a book or two as well.

I've got a big birthday for my husband mid December 😣 finding it hard for Christmas ideas so following this thread.

Simonjt · 01/12/2024 13:11

I’ve got him some camion boots from our legacy that I know he has been wanting to buy for a little while. Apart from that he is just getting very small things like hand cream etc.

ImageMirror · 01/12/2024 13:12

@CoffeeChocolateWine can you tell me where you got the jacket from? Thank you

caringcarer · 01/12/2024 13:29

I got DH a bean to cop coffee machine for our holiday home. He always misses his coffee when he first gets up on holiday. In his stocking he will be having some coffee beans, a thermometer for the milk, long handled teaspoons, a metal frothing jug, a book, a marzipan bar, car air freshener, an initial bag to keep his medication in, a large Toblerone, smelly gift set, socks, pants and a t shirt.

Cynic17 · 01/12/2024 13:35

Beer, chocolate and socks. Because his birthday is Xmas Eve, and I've spent hundreds on that 😂 Plus, we don't really do Christmas.

StrawberryWater · 01/12/2024 13:54

Books and a guided tour around the Harry Potter studio in London.

SconesAreABreakfastFood · 01/12/2024 13:58

I’ve got him an Ooni Volt, he loves making pizzas, and just cooking generally. When we’re having pizza out he moans that he can’t get the base as crispy as they do, so this should do the trick. I feel bad because if he got me something for the house I’d be very disgruntled, but he will love it honestly. Cooking is his happy place.

whatcanthematterbe81 · 01/12/2024 17:06

Gosh I always think I must be relatively poor when I read threads like this. We get a couple of presents but so many spend 100s and I just can't imagine that. Some lovely ideas on heee

whatcanthematterbe81 · 01/12/2024 17:06

Here

Caffeineneedednow · 01/12/2024 17:07

Some warhammer stuff, he got me lego. We're basically still both children 🤣

laddersandsnakes12 · 01/12/2024 17:13

I've got him some tickets to see Ricky Gervais. It was going to be a surprise but y'day he saw a new date had been added to his tour next yr so was trying to convince me to come so he could book them for us. Tried to put him off but couldn't find any decent excuses for him not to book it, so had to just come out and say "just don't book them alright , it's been taken care of", so now he pretty much knows! This ALWAYS happens when I buy him a surprise present, it's so annoying! Aside from that, I'll get him a bottle of whiskey, some whiskey glasses and then a few bits and pieces for his stocking and will get our DS to come shopping with me to pick out a couple of small gifts from him.
