So far I've got DH;
Nike running trainers
Collapsible tool bag
Xmas boxers
Xmas pyjama bottoms
A pi (3.14158) pin badge

I'll add some chocolate and I'll probably let him do "that thing" to my breasts he likes. It's a birthdays, anniversary and Christmas thing 😂

CitiesInDust · 04/12/2024 20:40

No idea this year. The only thing I’ve bought in years that’s he’s actually used has been a a grid storage thing that he puts his cables in. Like this

GingerLiberalFeminist · 04/12/2024 20:40

Oh and a Hobbit notebook. We set a budget of £100-150 each.
DD still has to "get" him something.

blueshoes · 04/12/2024 20:42

Coffee machine.

His broke, he researched the replacement and sent me the link. I asked him a few questions to make sure he considered it thoroughly.

Then I bought it 😂

A solar panel for his garden shed

I’d love more details! How much power would it generate/ how useful could it be? Thanks

lifetheuniverseandeverything42 · 04/12/2024 21:40

A new hoodie, waterproof slippers he can walk up the garden in, a bottle of gin from a place we went on holiday and a fridge magnet that has a picture of us on and plays the song we had as our first dance. I feel quite happy. Two of them will be 'from the kids' and he'll get a few silly things in his stocking like premixed cans of espresso Martin and obligatory chocolate orange.

It’s just for a little bit of lighting :) he likes a festoon light, he does. It should easily power lights, charge phones, small speakers etc. No power tools or big heaters.

He’s going to get his own battery, but I’m going to provide the solar panel and the control unit. Something like:

A Garmin GPS Computer for his bike
Levi denim shirt
A lego brick picture of him and DS
Chocolates
One of those card multitools that go in your wallet
a car windscreen de-fogger - romantic haha, but he always always moans about not having anything that reaches properly
Temperature regulating socks
Lego set (from DS so they can do it together)
Coffee bean subscription for six months

GiraffesAtThePark · 05/12/2024 09:35

Nothing. We agreed we’d take each other out for meals in January.

We have young children so all the attention at Christmas will be on them.

I'm getting DH a coffee grinder so thanks for this - just added a coffee subscription!

Welshcakes28 · 06/12/2024 19:50

Lean Christmas this year after DH recently got made redundant but he has a small stocking - we are overseas so it's mainly food he misses from home:

  • Marmite
  • Anchovy relish
  • Yorkshire Tea bags
  • Terry's chocolate orange
  • Crumpets
  • Fizzy laces
  • Retro sweets - flying saucers, refreshers
  • Hot sauce
  • Beer

And a jumper as a main present.
Then a photo Calendar from DS.

If anyone else has some recommendations for small UK food gifts that travel well, let me know - he likes savoury things - anchovies, olives, salami. Loves cooking and particularly loves Asian food.

Tbry24 · 06/12/2024 20:19

compared to lots of others I have a really low budget but i am pleased with what I’ve bought

Toiletry advent calendar that he’s had already and was the most expensive thing
magazine subscriptions
boxers and socks
lego set
a cloud journal and a book about clouds (probably the best thing)
A few other books
calendar
magnetic memo board
And then little things for a stocking so seeds, mini ornaments. Mini candles, pen, chocs etc.

YouCantBeSirius · 06/12/2024 23:41

A 4tb ssd for his ps5
Warhammer space marines for the ps5
Warhammer set that he asked for
2 Warhammer tshirts
Toblerone

Crikeyalmighty · 07/12/2024 00:12

Everyman cinema voucher
Aftershave ( at £60 these days it's big bit of present - nuts!!)!
3 books asked for
Bjorn Borg boxers
Rituals deodorant and car air fresheners

AhBiscuits · 07/12/2024 07:34

My DH is HARD to buy for.
I bought him expensive aftershave and it's unopened 3 years later. I can't buy him clothes because he is next level fussy. He returns 99% of the clothes he chooses for himself. He immediately buys anything he wants. I've bought him so much gin over the years, we have stacks of it the cupboards. He has a beer subscription.

So far
Giant Toblerone with his name on
Lap tray for his laptop for when he's WFH as he tends to do it from the sofa.
Like an Oodie thing with his football team's badge on it. I got it from his team's online store.
Chocolate coffee pods.
