I've always got this much for the dcs just from us. Plus a main and stocking.
19 years being a parent, so young adult to pre school ages ,and none of my children have grown up bratty or entitled. They know birthdays and Xmas they get lots. They get the odd few bits during the year but that's it. If they ask for something they do jobs to ' earn' the money over a couple of weeks or they wait for birthday/ Xmas/ easter ( yes we do a small easter gift)
