Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.

It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. It's a lovely, friendly bunch and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you for building such a warm, fuzzy and generous spot on mn. I know I've save so much over the years and am so grateful to all of you for sharing.

Pull up a sleigh and relax with a mulled wine and mince pie, for Christmas has nearly arrived!

@ me if you need anything or you want to let me know anything - the thread moves so fast I can't always keep up so this really helps

A few pointers to make everyone’s life easier and the thread be as useful as possible:

  • It’s handy to put in bold the bargains so they’re easy to spot
  • No affiliate links
  • No need to place mark or post messages of hello or thanks at the start of a new thread - use the ‘watch thread’ button
  • Be nice or leave

The current referral thread for sharing referral codes https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/4940918-4940918-bargain-referrals-thread-6 . Please use this rather than this page to share referral links to make the sharing fair.

To make clicks links, you set it up like this only without any spaces apart from between the website and the word(s) you’re writing: www.bargainsahoyeveryonecomehere.co.uk

Thanks @RainbowZebraWarrior for the instructions below.
To make something bold, put this star * either side of the word you want to bold (with no spaces in between)

So starhellostar would look like this.

hello

Obviously use the * not the word star

Some of the below is copied and pasted from previous years, so do @ me if the links don't work

Does anyone know if spots and stripes skincare can be brought anywhere else except for their own website. Am happy to order from them but want to check I’m getting the best deal first.

thank you!

Dolphintrainer · 29/09/2024 16:39

Finally settled on 3 Fahlo bracelets and today the code Fallsale for 3 for £30 is no longer valid. Has anyone got another code for this deal? The best I can get googling is b2g1 which including postage gets 3 for £41.82 now. The £30 for 3 was a lot better!

This toddler dj table is a great price on Very at 24.99 it's 45.49 in amazon and 55.99 on argos! Sadly my kids are past this stage and I'm looking for something similar but a bit older.

We have the vtech DJ mixer & it's a big hit with my 6yo

CapybaraParty · 29/09/2024 18:01

Are there any heated throw bargains around at the moment please? I didn't need one a few weeks ago when they were on offer so missed it and now can't seem to find a bargain anywhere. Thank you

Stickersandlollipops · 29/09/2024 18:02

Any offers on warm and cosy things going? Stuff like heated blankets, slippers etc.

Stickersandlollipops · 29/09/2024 18:02

yoshiblue · 29/09/2024 18:03

Any advice re: buying a Oodie with a discount code? Showing as 15% off first order in the app, 10% code if you sign up to email. Can anyone beat this? Thanks!

MilkyBadBoy · 29/09/2024 18:36

@Dolphintrainer wait it out- that deal will come back closer to Christmas

Has anyone else had problems with the whistlefish 20% code? It's saying Join20 isn't available to you at this time

Slothsandspiderman · 29/09/2024 18:45

I’m following this thread for lots of lovely things. However I do have a certain section of friends who love that naughtier side of life. I can recommend Mr Inappropriate website. Funny, rude gifts that cost a few pounds. I have purchased a few items so am a genuine customer.
DO NOT LOOK IF EASILY OFFENDED

redwinechocolateandsnacks · 29/09/2024 18:47

@oriel2013 - have you subscribed to their emails?

lifelongfrugaleer · 29/09/2024 18:59

I got the same @oriel2013

I've figured it out - I had subscribed with a different email address too the one my phone auto filled the form with. It's worked now. So pleased, I got 15 Christmas cards, 10 birthday cards, 2 tins of notelets a pack of tags plus the free wrapping paper for under £26!

Yes I had a nightmare with it this morning. I eventually got it to work by only having Whistlefish own brand items, so nothing from Ginger Ray etc…
I bought two lots of the Christmas cards (15 cards for £10) and then another ten, generic £2 cards (10 cards for £10). The ‘JOIN20’ code then brought my £30 basket down to under the £25 free wrapping paper/free delivery threshold, so I added one ‘luxury card’ which are also currently on offer. So I got 41 cards and 5 lots of wrapping paper for £25.66 delivered.
I hope that makes sense and helps.

I had to take out my notelets to make it work 🙁
