Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.

It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. It's a lovely, friendly bunch and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you for building such a warm, fuzzy and generous spot on mn. I know I've save so much over the years and am so grateful to all of you for sharing.

Matalan is 20% off for members on spends of 40 and 60 pounds, I did apply it to an order over that price and it still removed the discount. Picked up some pj's for the children amongst other bits.

I'm not sure what the Asda offer previously was but we've had this kitchen for 4 years & it's still going strong. The hob makes noise, knobs all have clicky turn noises & the fridge dispenses ice cubes & it's still used daily in my house!

Not sure about deals, but Boots have a dupe called Treaclemoon Frosted Candy Angel. I’ve had it and it’s very similar imo. Bath/shower gel is 1.99 when they have it in stock, but this year they have a gift set, £10 (but also in the 3 for 2).

The also do a Brazilian style scent which I’ve read is a dupe of Sol de Janeiro? Don’t know how true that is myself, never had it!

I swear by the treaclemoon my daughter was gifted the lush snow angel and wanted more throughout the year so bought this and she doesn't even tell the difference !

I can also vouch for this. I have a few pots / gift sets of Lush snow angel, and I also love the Treaclemoon (I stock up on every variation when on offer) Waitrose often have it on offer, too. The coconut one is also gorgeous.
