I feel like this year is going to be my year of terrible cheesy Christmas pun thread titles Xmas Grin

Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.

It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. It's a lovely, friendly bunch and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you for building such a warm, fuzzy and generous spot on mn. I know I've save so much over the years and am so grateful to all of you for sharing.

Pull up a sleigh and relax with a mulled wine and mince pie, for Christmas has nearly arrived!

Some of the below is copied and pasted from previous years, so do @ me if the links don't work

Stock informer is a handy site http://www.stockinformer.co.uk/default.aspx?fullsite=1

Camelcamelcamel is a great amazon price tracking tool http://uk.camelcamelcamel.com

The following links compare price products including postage

www.find-game.co.uk (as in PS4/xbox etc)

@ me if you need anything or you want to let me know anything - the thread moves so fast I can't always keep up so this really helps

I always forget how many websites I've signed up to and then my birthday comes around and I get discount codes!
Gifts from handpicked: 15% off with BIRTHDAY15
Seasalt: £10 off a £25 spend with BIRTHDAYTREAT
Brightminds (STEAM toys and games): 10% off with 10SUNDAY

The rest seem to be individual, but I'll no doubt get more throughout the day!

@Georgieporgie29 Thanks so much. Have spent most of the morning on this site choosing lovely cards.

They've got offers on Christmas cards too and wrap. I joined The mailing list and got 20% off then bumped up my order to £25 for free delivery. Feels a lot but I've got I've got about 30 odd items including luxury cards, Christmas cards and wrapping paper. Says I've saved over £30 as well. Feeling pleased and organised!

Oh also got cash back with Top Cash Back

Edited

Whistlefish is now 15 cards for £10.

@MarshmallowsOnToast we had the ELC dinosaur, albeit a few years ago but has good reviews.

Thanks! That's cute 🎅🏻

Whistlefish is now 15 cards for £10.

@Anewuser so the 10 for £10 aren't the Christmas selection, it's birthdays, thank yous or plain cards etc x

Then on top of that is the 15 for £10 for Christmas cards. 🎅

Does anyone have a White Fox referral code they could pop In the referral thread for me? I have asked in there but this thread gets more footfall. Thanks!

I’ve just had a look for you and this is what you get for a referral. It says minimum spend £80. I don’t know if it stacks with the 30% off and I think you would need to give someone your email address so they can refer you. Hope this helps.

Re whistlefish, the jute bags are £6 for 2 and they are a perfect size and come in lovely colours. By mum bought me some back from Cornwall earlier in the year and I use them lots!

LostCats · 21/09/2024 10:40

All, on whistlefish, I’m not even sure how it happened, but I used the Microsoft look for discounts thing at checkout and I got 10 cards for £7.25 incl delivery!
Seems there is a stackable code 545_INTRO.

Thanks @Theraffarian unfortunately that code doesn’t work on the International version.

The other code was AC24 , I’m not sure if it worked for the international one either though .

@Reastie we’re near the end of thread 1 already!

GoldenGlobes · 21/09/2024 11:03

I am putting my hard hat on for this one and I really hope I don't offend anyone. I have been here since the start of the threads a millions moons ago and each year I see people suggesting Yankee candles home inspirations as good bargain Yankee candles. If anyone you know likes candles they may not like the home inspiration ones. I love candles and would put a home inspirations one straight in the school tombola box. They are a budget line that Yankee have done but dont have the scent of yankee and anyone who knows candles will know it's cheap (without even being that cheap!) You would be better buying a non branded candle or for a gorgeous scent and a bit of luxury try a company like Eval. I don't work for any candle company, just love my candles. Sorry, I just needed to get that off my chest.

I haven't been around as long but I completely agree about the candles. Eval and Folk are both reasonably priced favourites of mine.
