Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.

It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. It's a lovely, friendly bunch and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you for building such a warm, fuzzy and generous spot on mn. I know I've save so much over the years and am so grateful to all of you for sharing.

Urban Outfitters have some Emu boots (similar to Ugg and some say better quality) in their sale but only in size 3 reduced from £109 to £29.

@MrsPadhd There are usually some offer on Ugg website around October/November so worth keeping an eye out. I got DSD some slippers for approx £30 last year and I recall they had some good offers on boots.

Its also worth looking on Schuh, etc for seasonal offers

I have to say I ordered these for the first time on the last offer and they really are lovely, good quality cards.

Amazon have got Punirunes for 29.99, they are normally 39.99. I’ve just ordered and it will be delivered today. Really pleased as it’s on my daughters list.

I think so. From the 26th September at selected stores. I've done this every year for about 6 years now. Still bring in my same tin 🤣

I am putting my hard hat on for this one and I really hope I don't offend anyone. I have been here since the start of the threads a millions moons ago and each year I see people suggesting Yankee candles home inspirations as good bargain Yankee candles. If anyone you know likes candles they may not like the home inspiration ones. I love candles and would put a home inspirations one straight in the school tombola box. They are a budget line that Yankee have done but dont have the scent of yankee and anyone who knows candles will know it's cheap (without even being that cheap!) You would be better buying a non branded candle or for a gorgeous scent and a bit of luxury try a company like Eval. I don't work for any candle company, just love my candles. Sorry, I just needed to get that off my chest.

@nickdrakeslovechild (Love the name!) There are definitely much better quality candles at a price point not too far off- Valentte (if you ignore the constant emails) for example. Better value by far for the quality.

They've got offers on Christmas cards too and wrap. I joined The mailing list and got 20% off then bumped up my order to £25 for free delivery. Feels a lot but I've got I've got about 30 odd items including luxury cards, Christmas cards and wrapping paper. Says I've saved over £30 as well. Feeling pleased and organised!

Re. Quality Street. I think you can buy pouches of favourites etc Cremes, Caramels etc. Might not be the favourites you want but you could have a look at making your own selection and customised gift if you're not able to get to a JL that does it.

I haven't looked but sometimes on marketplace and Vinted people sell or gift away storage tins.

Just a thought! Might do it myself
