Thanks @GoatsareGOAT for the title. Luckily, she was referring to the board game peeps!

In message two are the links and info from last year - if anyone has anything they'd like me to amend or add, please do tag me and I'll update.

A reminder not to post affiliate links in the thread but that MN do change amazon links shared by posters into MN affiliate links.

Please do watch the thread rather than post to mark place to make it easier for everyone to keep up and find relevant info.

How to do click links -

I hope that makes sense…

Present tracking apps might be of interest eg Santas bag, gift list.

Here are some useful websites:

Amazon free delivery tool here

Aliexpress [[http://www.aliexpress.com www.aliexpress.com . Useful tips here from sorryiasked: Aliexpress is a Chinese site that sells everything! Assume all branded stuff is fake. I personally wouldn't buy baby toys or electronics from there as I don't have faith in the product safety. But for fan merchandise, dolls clothes, "lego", household items etc it's great. Check the size guide on clothes and lower your expectations!
Use a seller who has a 4.5 star rating or higher.
You can pay via PayPal and there is an excellent tracking system, but be aware express postage is usually 2-3 weeks and standard postage up to 2-3 months.

Bargainmax here

Camelcamelcamel is a brilliant site that tracks prices on amazon here

Lisa angel sale is popular when on, apparently arrive nicely packaged too here

Magazine subscription offers here and here

Netpricedirect has discount toys and party bits here although be aware reviews of the site is mixed

Toys for a pound here

Any additional websites or recommendations to add - just let me know Grin . I should add something about Ali express maybe as we’ve had that before…will get my brain thinking about what other sites/products have been popular.

Amazon UK Free Delivery Tool - Find add on items to reach £25

Amazon provides free super saver delivery for orders of £25 or over. Use our tool to find items to qualify for free shipping

Thank you @Reastie .

Lastminutebride · 17/11/2023 18:29

Thanks for the advice on the previous thread about the entertainer birthday/toybox codes stacking. Just saved £20 on my order

PopcornAndGummyBears · 17/11/2023 18:37

Why the flip am I still here?! I’m done! (I guess the birthday present cupboard could always do with restocking for the year ahead!)

mummymummymummummum · 17/11/2023 18:41

I’m hoping that no question is a stupid question here!

Where does one buy an elf? As in one of those annoying elves that get moved into a new ‘funny’ position every night for 24 bloody days which were never ever going to cross the threshold of my house. Are all elves equal? Are there bargainous elves to be had?

Please help reduce the elf pain!

Irritatedmum · 17/11/2023 18:49

Thanks to the pp who said Claire’s had honoured online prices in store…. I’d ordered 2 items online but order was cancelled as they weren’t in stock. Popped into the store as I was passing and mentioned it, they said they’d honour the online price but also offered me a 3 for 2! So I got 2x half price things and a little stocking filler from the sale section for free!

Room4onemore · 17/11/2023 18:49

Thanks

Lidl had some elf things, dressed a little differently, but still with the creepy face and long legs.

Favouritefruits · 17/11/2023 18:56

@mummymummymummummum garden centres are a good bet for the ‘real’ elf on the shelf not those weird faced ones!

TheBigFish · 17/11/2023 18:56

@mummymummymummummum our local market has them on a Christmas stall every year so might be worth checking near to you.

Boots had the elf with the elf on the shelf box set on offer recently. Might be worth having a look. It has a certificate inside and you get to name your Elf. We read the book every year before ours arrives on December 1st.

Body shop lovers - are their stuff worth the price? Never tried them but always wanted to. Their stuff seems to quite expensive!

The works usually have them by the till.

PopcornAndGummyBears · 17/11/2023 19:22

Poundstretcher has unofficial elves in store - they are creepy wee fuckers though so you may not want them in your house!

PelvicFloorClenchReminder · 17/11/2023 19:29

Jellycat make a gorgeous uncreepy elf that is a bit more bearable.

thisgirlloveschristmas23 · 17/11/2023 19:42

Does anyone know how long Claire's keep click and collect orders in store for?

I saw some today in Lidl

qate · 17/11/2023 19:57

Rubbish at links, but A Little Find has 20% off Yoto (players and cards) plus another 10% off with IG10 making it about the best I've seen so far (albeit let's see if they actually fulfil first).

stressbucket1 · 17/11/2023 19:59

Next have Bath and body works candles 30% off. Lots of christmassy scents. They are rarely on offer and smell lovely.

Karlkennedyslovechild · 17/11/2023 19:59

Are you sure you want an Elf? Remember an Elf is not just for Christmas but for every sodding December for eternity…
