Thanks @GoatsareGOAT for the title. Luckily, she was referring to the board game peeps!

In message two are the links and info from last year - if anyone has anything they'd like me to amend or add, please do tag me and I'll update.

A reminder not to post affiliate links in the thread but that MN do change amazon links shared by posters into MN affiliate links.

Please do watch the thread rather than post to mark place to make it easier for everyone to keep up and find relevant info.

ok that makes more sense. DS discovered Merino wool socks from a Scandi army surplus store. They have long john type things in merino
Search: merino wool - Varusteleka.com

Thanks. That's a company I haven't seen. Their stuff looks good, but I'm still after a PJ shaped bottom- looser IYSWIM. I'll keep looking...(why has he always got to be bloody different?).

WidowedMum · 18/11/2023 01:51

@mummymummymummummum yes, they have elves in the works. DD picked one up today, ‘that’s nice’, I said as I threw it back on the shelf! I hope we never have to have one but I bet we will at some point!

They also have elf themed sweets and other elf rubbish in Poundland and I’ve seen a set on shein with 24 things for the elf to do.

Chocolateteabag · 18/11/2023 02:02

@Puffalicious
Isobaa lounge trousers at Sport pursuit?
You have to register to view stuff but I've bought ski stuff from them before and it's all legit. If you search "merino lounge" they have lots of different options but all £60
You can get £5 referral and there is a 10% Black Friday code which I can find tomorrow (I ordered a jacket from them yesterday)

mummyof2boys30 · 18/11/2023 06:31

Has anyone an argos code? Spending over £120, potentially over £150 thanks

Ilovepugs2017 · 17/11/2023 19:12

Body shop lovers - are their stuff worth the price? Never tried them but always wanted to. Their stuff seems to quite expensive!

Don't know if this has been answered yet, but I got an email today about a 25% off Black Friday sale

Laney79 · 18/11/2023 06:54

I may have been posted as I think the deal came up last night but huge Dino with sounds (and butto. To move it) down to £16.49 on Amazon

Jurassic World Dominion Dinosaur Toy, Strike N Roar Giganotosaurus, Action Figure with Striking Motion and Sounds, GYW86 amzn.eu/d/c1R2VWh

I need some slippers help for DH. He likes boot style slippers but wants something a bit more sturdy, like Uggs but we don’t have the budget for £160 a pair. Can anyone suggest similar to Uggs but not as expensive? I may just try and find the budget if there is a Black Friday deal to be had though.

SpinningOutWaitingForYa · 18/11/2023 07:32

Found you all!

My 10 year old DD has asked for an Instax mini - but do they actually get used? Anyone here with a child who uses it?

Bonitalazenia · 18/11/2023 07:37

@mummyof2boys30 sent you a pm

EdenGlen · 18/11/2023 07:42

Hi. Can anyone tell me about Tech Decks? I’d never hear of them before but my 11 year old has just asked for some and some ramps etc. He would also like this design if anyone knows how to do that? (The Amazon link says you just get one at random). Thanks!

My son and nephews love this stuff. He has loads of ramps too. Started with the tech deck stuff but that’s “for beginners” and now spends (eye watering amounts of) pocket money on ordering better quality stuff to custom build his own decks and has wooden ramps / skate parks etc. (think £25-30 on a new fingerboard).

be warned - the noise of bl**dy fingerboards clattering on a surface will soon start to grate. All the kids love them though and tech deck is a good place to start. In terms of getting a specific design…. if it’s another seller through Amazon marketplace you could try leaving a comment on your order to ask for that one but it wouldn’t be guaranteed.

Beautifulsunflowers · 18/11/2023 07:52

I bought a cuddly toy elf from Clinton’s about 12 years ago. He comes out every year on 1st December and we hide him in silly places - when the kids were younger it was in the fridge/in their school bag etc, when they had paper rounds I used to hide it in the garage on the bikes or in their paper round bags. My boys are 17 and 21 and the elf will still visit! The last few years they now try and surprise me with silly hiding places - like on the passenger seat of my car! Honestly an elf is for life!! I’m such a big kid!!

Schoolsupport · 18/11/2023 07:52

If anyone please has a spare Argos code I would be so grateful. I need to spend £120 unexpectedly 😬Thank you!

redjoker · 18/11/2023 07:52

If anyone has an argos code I'd be forever thankful. Spending about 60 quid x

stillholly · 18/11/2023 07:53

Has anyone bought an Oral B electric toothbrush from the iO range? They're so expensive so not sure they're worth it?

Initially missed the new thread alert

mrsanflowerpot · 18/11/2023 07:55

We've moved house this year and "Patch" the elf that we've had since DD(14) was 3 has somehow not moved with us. DD and DS are already talking about his arrival (Confused) and I can't find a version anywhere. Can anyone help??

Loads of elf stuff in pound land including elves ! But be warned there’s no going back once you start.

Igglepiggleandhisboat · 18/11/2023 07:59

The works had elf stuff too x

Mumto3thatsme · 18/11/2023 08:05

Beingacatbed · 18/11/2023 08:07

my son has asked for tech deck this year too, ive found to get a particular design you need to buy instore as online seems to be a random choice. Smyths have them 3 for 2 and i picked up a couple in the range that were reduced to £2.50.

Missscentsation · 18/11/2023 08:08
