Thanks @GoatsareGOAT for the title. Luckily, she was referring to the board game peeps!

In message two are the links and info from last year - if anyone has anything they'd like me to amend or add, please do tag me and I'll update.

Found you all!

My 10 year old DD has asked for an Instax mini - but do they actually get used? Anyone here with a child who uses it?

My 19 y.o DD has had one since she was about 12 and still uses it but only for special occasions - film is very expensive. She has got magnets that stick on the back of the photos so her notice board at uni is covered in pics from various parties. She also has some really nice photo frames a bit like rectangular snow globes that Instax pictures fit in. I doubt know if a 10 year old would be self restrained enough to understand pictures cost about a pound each!

Which reminds me, can anyone recommend a good pair of finger nail snippers? (the smaller ones, not the larger toe nail size)? I'd like some good quality ones, ideally that look a bit different to standard ones so DS knows which are his....

CarrieMoonbeams · 18/11/2023 09:24

@Timeforallthecheese , how long do the slippers have to be? DH and I both have the Shepherd of Sweden ones (the men's ones are called Anton), they're hard soled so can happily be worn to put something out in the bin or whatever, and are so cosy. They're ankle length though, are about £75 although you can often get a discount for signing up.

I bought mine from Westmorland Sheepskins but actually got a cracking deal on his from Heppo.com (sorry can't link that one as it's still got my details on it). They came direct from Sweden but the shipping is only £5.99 and there's no additional tax to pay. They arrived within a week.

winewolfhowls · 18/11/2023 09:29

Aaargh gutted I missed the Papergang boxes, I love them.

For those looking at tech deck stuff have a look at local selling sites and Facebook marketplace. Ramps etc often sold on very cheaply and as it's plastic don't look too second hand.

For anyone looking at electric toothbrushes, I can highly recommend these Sonic ones I got one about 6 months ago to replace an expensive oral B one and it's absolutely fantastic. My teeth have never been cleaner and I have ended up buying all my family one as an additional present this year. They also come with 2 years of brushes and the charge lasts for weeks.

I've just ordered one. Bought it in black for £15.97.
Thanks for the recommendation.

Have always used oral b and fancy trying a sonic one.

My daughter wants to make her own crackers this year but we are out of ideas for a cute filler. She has little chocolate and scratch card but wanted a fun small item to add. More little traditional fillings like the little screwdrivers/puzzle etc . Any ideas please? X

I got this Christmas stamp set one year to split and put in https://www.theworks.co.uk/p/stamps-and-accessories/10-piece-christmas-stamper-set/5052089202801.html?gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQiA3uGqBhDdARIsAFeJ5r1lJv3e2Na8zxWytfUW8VO_wBT7n5uMdKQRFN-C-XSd9rlfsB8HzZsaApOIEALw_wcB

Also found some cute little Christmas tree candles before. Or the "freebie" bath fizzers from gruum look like they would be good

@LemonFrosting my gruum wash bag etc is going to tween DS as a starter toiletries set. There was a second Gruum pay postage only offer which I also got which is going in it too, plus a mini Wet Brush that someone posted in an earlier thread, a shower scrubbie and I still need to get a deodorant and a good pair of nail snips to complete it. I may be over-estimated the size of the bag though 😂

Thank you! There's another pay postage offer on gruum with Bath fizzers in but my dad won't use the bath fizzers so I haven't bothered. That's a good idea though with different accessories. I was thinking I had to keep it all as Gruum branded stuff but you e inspired me now! Think I may get some charcoal face masks to go in it and some other bits, thank you!

Chocolateteabag · 18/11/2023 09:55

@psuedocream3 @BlairWaldorfOG

Try this for Hot Diamonds

With a new email put something in your basket and leave until tomorrow - they "should" send you a 20% off personal code

That code should then stack

First use BIRTHDAY FOR £15 off
Then JEWELS for free post
Then your 20% code
Then try BF30

It won't work with the MSE40 code

I managed to get a £40 pair of earring a down to £7.40 with the above

Dee1224 · 18/11/2023 09:56

@LemonFrosting - if that’s the one with the Xmas tree wax melt, you could add a wax burner - I had exactly the same conversation last night with a friend who was regretting buying the sets for colleagues! (She didn’t know what wax melts were, so learning about burners was eye-opening, apparently 🤣)

I have £5 off £50 for Argos if use to anyone?

Me please if you still have it 🙏

MandScookiesrule · 18/11/2023 09:58

@stillholly another dentist here, who loves the iO and wouldn’t go back to anything else.

Ilovepugs2017 · 18/11/2023 10:01

£10 cash back on a £20 spend with WH Smith, Waterstones, HMV etc ❤️

@Delahot One of our best received cracker gifts was a hexbug in each. From ages 4-75 thought they were hilarious.

mummyof2boys30 · 18/11/2023 10:03

Can anyone recommend good running earbuds/earphones? Thanks

Stripedfluffysocks · 18/11/2023 10:03

Ugg type slippers - have you access to Costco? The ones they sell, Kirkland, are brilliant quality and price. Otherwise TK’s

SadlyACupOfTeaDoesNotSolveEverything · 18/11/2023 10:03

20% off White company code in my email today. Worth checking.

Bobbi brown 25% off now on too.

Our elf is from Dobbies and soft/cute. The creepy ones scare me!

Hibernatalie · 18/11/2023 10:05

mummymummymummummum · 17/11/2023 18:41

I’m hoping that no question is a stupid question here!

Where does one buy an elf? As in one of those annoying elves that get moved into a new ‘funny’ position every night for 24 bloody days which were never ever going to cross the threshold of my house. Are all elves equal? Are there bargainous elves to be had?

Please help reduce the elf pain!

I saw them recently in The Works and my local charity shop also stocks them

Twonka · 18/11/2023 10:21

Does anyone have a white company free delivery code? I don’t want to spend £50 though, thank so much. Someone normally posts one each year so fingers crossed

Puffalicious · 18/11/2023 10:27

Chocolateteabag · 18/11/2023 02:02

@Puffalicious
Isobaa lounge trousers at Sport pursuit?
You have to register to view stuff but I've bought ski stuff from them before and it's all legit. If you search "merino lounge" they have lots of different options but all £60
You can get £5 referral and there is a 10% Black Friday code which I can find tomorrow (I ordered a jacket from them yesterday)

They're perfect! Thank you. You need to register to view? Seems a bit mental. Any referrals or codes would be fab, since with a top it'll be £100. If it's under that I'll feel better.

ruralwanderer · 18/11/2023 10:28

I nipped into Tesco yesterday and all of the giftsets were half price with Clubcard prices so I got two Fuzzy Duck Men's Bodywash giftsets for the price of one. They're still full price elsewhere so worth considering if you're going shopping IRL and need shower sets for anyone.

Timeforallthecheese · 18/11/2023 07:16

I need some slippers help for DH. He likes boot style slippers but wants something a bit more sturdy, like Uggs but we don’t have the budget for £160 a pair. Can anyone suggest similar to Uggs but not as expensive? I may just try and find the budget if there is a Black Friday deal to be had though.

@Timeforallthecheese if you can get to a Costco they do good sheepskin slippers and boots at this time of year. The slippers are really good. I looked at the women’s boots this year and they didn’t come far enough up the ankle for me. Debenhams sell a make of sheepskin boots that get good reviews. TKMax worth a look too.

Has anyone seen any long white pyjamas in Primark or anywhere else reasonably priced? We’re getting married next year so I’m trying to get as many bargains now as I can.

If you’re meaning “bride” pyjamas, when I was getting married I saw lots - try Boohoo, Asda, Shein for stuff like that

Thelifeofawife · 18/11/2023 10:35

LemonFrosting · 18/11/2023 09:07

For anyone that bought the Gruum washbag and the little bundle that you chose (it was a just pay postage item), can I ask how you are gifting it please? It looks a bit naff by itself.

When I purchased mine I added a moisturiser at the checkout which was on offer. I have since seen a couple more offers on, so got those to bulk it up (usually just pay postage, or again top up with something on offer at the checkout).
There is freebies at the moment for Christmas tree soaps, you could add those?
