Reastie · 13/11/2023 19:28

I love the fact that the nn of the person who said this to me is @chocolateisavegetable - very apt!

In message two are the links and info from last year - if anyone has anything they'd like me to amend or add, please do tag me and I'll update.

A reminder not to post affiliate links in the thread but that MN do change amazon links shared by posters into MN affiliate links.

Please do watch the thread rather than post to mark place to make it easier for everyone to keep up and find relevant info.

How to do click links -

I hope that makes sense…

Present tracking apps might be of interest eg Santas bag, gift list.

Here are some useful websites:

Amazon free delivery tool here

Aliexpress [[http://www.aliexpress.com www.aliexpress.com . Useful tips here from sorryiasked: Aliexpress is a Chinese site that sells everything! Assume all branded stuff is fake. I personally wouldn't buy baby toys or electronics from there as I don't have faith in the product safety. But for fan merchandise, dolls clothes, "lego", household items etc it's great. Check the size guide on clothes and lower your expectations!
Use a seller who has a 4.5 star rating or higher.
You can pay via PayPal and there is an excellent tracking system, but be aware express postage is usually 2-3 weeks and standard postage up to 2-3 months.

Bargainmax here

Camelcamelcamel is a brilliant site that tracks prices on amazon here

Lisa angel sale is popular when on, apparently arrive nicely packaged too here

Magazine subscription offers here and here

Netpricedirect has discount toys and party bits here although be aware reviews of the site is mixed

Toys for a pound here

Any additional websites or recommendations to add - just let me know Grin . I should add something about Ali express maybe as we’ve had that before…will get my brain thinking about what other sites/products have been popular.

Ooooooh first to check in! How exciting! I've actually finished my Christmas shopping, just here for the festive feels and last minute twitches.

hby9628 · 13/11/2023 19:37

@Hibernatalie I think I'm pretty much finished other than my mum & dad. My plan for this weekend is to get everything out & double check it.
42 sleeps!

NaturalBlondeYeahRight · 13/11/2023 19:39

Oh I've got so many to buy still. Problem is, as everyone gets older, it all get harder I find.
I have two questions if anyone has any idea. Firstly my mum would like a fine gold chain to replace one she had a pendant on. I can only think of the obvious ones on the high street- id like to keep it around £50 if poss.
Secondly (and this is typical me spotting things I like instead of Xmas shopping. I fell for these tu pjs. They aren't on the website anymore and the stock checker on Twitter was hopeless. I'm not asking anyone to get them for me, but just asking if they have been spotted in any sainsburys. If they have, it gives me hope that they might still be available.

NaturalBlondeYeahRight · 13/11/2023 19:40

Well that attachment didn't work

Starlightdarkness · 13/11/2023 19:43

Does anyone have any recommendations for a breadmaker? No idea what functions are must haves.

XmasShoppingsister · 13/11/2023 19:43

As we are near the start of a thread just thought I'd post another way of adding clicky links.

*Go to post message and click on the little link icon that I highlighted in the first picture.

*The second pic shows what pops up... type the word you want the link to be called at the top and put the link at the bottom.

Hooe this helps someone.

@Starlightdarkness Panasonic breadmakers are great

mumonthehill · 13/11/2023 19:44

I am not buying the Aero bars..............

Dee1224 · 13/11/2023 19:48

Thanks for the new thread@Reastie

We have a Tower bread maker @Starlightdarkness - it’s quite straightforward and wasn’t expensive.

Does anyone have any experience of Outdoor Toys (www.outdoortoys.com)?
I’ve never heard of them and they aren’t on the cashback sites but offer lots of outdoor play equipment. If anyone has used before, would you recommend?

Thank you for the thread! I ordered an oodie in amazon through trueface which arrived today and even though it has enough of the label left to see it’s an oodie, it isn’t like my original, authentic oodie at all. It’s much thinner and seems more shapeless. Anyone else notice a difference?

TheGirlWhoLived · 13/11/2023 19:55

I’m looking for the Melissa and Doug ice cream thing for a bit less than 40

EekGoesTheBaby · 13/11/2023 19:59

Thanks, @XmasShoppingsister, for the heads up on the Amazon Fire TV. We want (but don't need!) a new TV but would definitely go for it at that price if lucky enough to get it.

Elpheba · 13/11/2023 20:00

@User0111 we got a ride on toy from them once and it was absolutely fine. Arrived promptly, good quality etc.

Have you tried Monica Vinader for the chain? Their Black Friday sale started today for newsletter receivers.

Someaddedsugar · 13/11/2023 20:03

Also @NaturalBlondeYeahRight I'm heading to Sainsburys tomorrow if you can share a link?

Birthdayidea · 13/11/2023 20:04

Anyone know the best deals/codes (if any) to use at Fatface? Looking to spend £90 on full price items and would love a discount!

gawditswindy · 13/11/2023 20:11

See when Costa do their spend £20 get £5 free offers... can you get 5 £5 cards, or only 1 £25 card?

OneFamily · 13/11/2023 20:13

@User0111 we have a swing set from them, good delivery and solid frame set. Would use again.

Bsgetty · 13/11/2023 20:13

DS has asked for a hoodie that’s fluffy/furry inside (a normal hoodie rather than an Oodie-type thing). Has anybody seen anything like that in age 12 size?

poignant · 13/11/2023 20:15

@Flimpychunk I have ordered two different "real" oodies from 5poundstuff and their Sherpas were different. I think there are a business making oodies that are seconds with their labels cut off.

GAP normally do a fluffy lined version of their logo hoodies, and usually have large discounts over Black Friday.

I had a Sherpa lined Gap hoody for years which was lovely.
