I love the fact that the nn of the person who said this to me is @chocolateisavegetable - very apt!

In message two are the links and info from last year - if anyone has anything they'd like me to amend or add, please do tag me and I'll update.

A reminder not to post affiliate links in the thread but that MN do change amazon links shared by posters into MN affiliate links.

Please do watch the thread rather than post to mark place to make it easier for everyone to keep up and find relevant info.

Can anyone recommend where to get barginous personalised note book (either with a name or just initials)?

I need a few and can't really justify spending £20+ on each one 🙈🙈

sunshinyday12 · 14/11/2023 06:33

Picked up some nice little stocking filler gifts reduced in Superdrug yesterday. Feather and Down bath stuff and body scrub from about £7 down to £2 and Sunday Rain bath stuff down to £1. Not in clearance section but on normal shelves next to other things but subtly marked down on shelf pricing.

Can I just say please check FB Marketplace. There are always Switches on there, boxed, hardly used etc. I recently saw the new OLED one (£300 retail & we'djust bought one for DS🙈) for £150 ono as a student just wasn't using it. I was nearly sick when I saw it.

Lots on market place are stolen goods.

Vebrithien · 14/11/2023 06:46

Morning!

Does anyone have a discount code for Museum Selection?

I've signed up for the newsletter with two different email addresses (over the last two weeks) and have not received the promised 10% discount code, or the newsletters, to either address. Not in junk folders either.

The £4.99 postage is hurting, especially as one thing I want is a pack of cards!

chocolateisavegetable · 14/11/2023 06:46

lifelongfrugaleer · 14/11/2023 06:01

@SevenKingsMustDie try from the men’s section for joggers.

Thanks, will try - she's got hips and a waist so that may bring its own set of problems, but worth a try!

DinkyGT · 14/11/2023 06:55

thanks for the new thread @Reastie !
I found a couple of offers in Good Food magazine the other day which may be of interest to some! Coffee and Relish! 😁

Also B&M. I used to buy loads for Party bags - think they are about £3 each and really good quality for the price.

chocolateisavegetable · 14/11/2023 07:05

Sainsbury have the Fuzzy Duck hand wash in a gingerbread house for £6 with Nectar card. Most places are selling it for £10. It is super cute

Thank you to the poster who mentioned Pick a Pine Tree book-it was £1.68 when I got round to looking. Have to wait a week or so for delivery but love getting a new Christmas book.

My Christmas book recommendation is The Wintertide Bear - this has been £1 cheaper almost in the past but it is nearing lowest price for one of our favourite winter books. The illustrations are magical and is definitely worth getting in hardback as it gets read lots in our house.

That's weird that CCC is showing lowest ever price of £3.53. I bought it at £1.91 last year (mind, I don't suppose it will go that low again - nothing seems to be this year)

Amazonmulu · 14/11/2023 07:26

Thank you for the monogrammed note book ideas! I'm going to go irl shopping and get some ♥️

I’ve bought these notebooks on Etsy, in the past and was very happy with them.

Need to pick your brains. I need a new hairdryer but no idea what to go for. I'm losing a fair bit of hair since having long covid, and I don't know if there is a dryer which might be better for that. Any help gratefully received.

Not sure about the hair loss but the absolute best hairdryer I've ever had is my Parlux. Expensive but it dries my thick hair really quickly.

Lots on market place are stolen goods.

Plus, a FB purchase wouldn’t be covered by a warranty unlike your purchase. You picked the better option.

whereareyousleep · 14/11/2023 08:23

I have 2 DS's age 10 & 5. This year we have spent around £4-500 each but another year I might only spend £2-300 just depends if we're buying a bigger item. This year we have bought them a switch to share (mainly for the younger one though as older plays Xbox) got a good deal on very but was still nearly £400 for that and 4 games. My 10 year olds list is mainly Lego and again you get very little for your money for that. I'm happy to spend that we have 2 incomes and don't get into debt for it so I know how lucky they are. I think it's much harder to keep under £200 as they get older

User1775 · 14/11/2023 08:24
