Thanks @snowmanshoes for the title!

Hello everyone, so nice to see you all. Pull up a chair, have a mince pie and a peppermint latte and share your Christmas bargains and ideas. In message two are the links and info from last year - if anyone has anything they'd like me to amend or add, please do tag me and I'll update.

A reminder not to post affiliate links in the thread but that MN do change amazon links shared by posters into MN affiliate links.

Please do watch the thread rather than post to mark place to make it easier for everyone to keep up and find relevant info.

A massive thank you to those who have contributed and/or run the prequel threads this year. I can't believe it's another year! I started these when DD was a baby and she's just gone into Year 8!

Can anyone remember anything about the hotel Chocolat hamper deal last year? I joined the thread too late and missed it last year so was hoping there might be something similar this year...

ClaraLane · 15/09/2023 10:13

They normally have a Black Friday one so keep your eyes peeled!

Edit: Not sure why this didn’t post the quote but was replying to the query about Muthahood doing sales.

Very have good deals at the moment. Barbie Ambulance down to £29.99 (from £54.99)

Gracesquirrel · 15/09/2023 10:48

@DollyDaisyDo I contacted Valentte.com as I too wanted to pay via paypal they replied to me straight away apologising but informing me that paypal has a £5 minimum spend which is why its not available for the promotion unless you also add something else to the basket. I decided to just use my credit card to check out.

Wolfcub · 15/09/2023 11:20

My winter heroes glossy box arrived. Worth it for the massive espa candle alone but bought before the prices were put up. Lovely packaging and would make a great gift as a whole thing. Obvious you spoil the packaging if you split it but everything is in an original box

WhyDoesItAlways · 15/09/2023 11:43

@dollydaisydo I paid by Google pay, it wasn't an option on the payment page but was right at the top of (I think) page 2 of the checkout. Not sure if it's massively safer than just using your credit card but from replies on here they seem to be a credible company so I'm not worried.

sparklins · 15/09/2023 12:02

I think it is absolutely disgusting how glossy box have all of a sudden hiked up the prices. The Grazia box has gone from 15 to 30 and today its 40!!!!!

I am in good mind to boycott for such a shameless money grab. I understand they are there to make money but this is a bit ridiculous.

WimbyAce · 15/09/2023 12:22

Thanks to whoever mentioned the little drawing tablets in a previous thread. I bought a pack of 2 for my girls for holiday and they were brilliant! Got lots of use.

Justhereforthechristmasthreads · 15/09/2023 12:26

Vebrithien · 15/09/2023 07:59

My Gruum order arrived yesterday. Letterbox parcel, and I also ordered the facial spray, so £5.95 for P&P and the spray.

Hope everyone else has theirs arrive so quickly, and you're pleased with it.

The box is sealed (tape and a tab), and there were a couple of advertising leaflets inside (wine 52 type things)

@Vebrithien Is the postage label on the red box or is it giftable in the box?

STom2 · 15/09/2023 12:42

I know we're generally wary of gift vouchers on here but figure Costa is a safe enough bet. Good idea for a gift.

Actually one of mine has just arrived. It was in a brown postage box and the items were lose inside. Doesn't worry me too much but in case anyone was hoping they may be able to gift in the box seems they aren't all send out in branded packaging

Not necessarily bargains but Dunelm have added more bits to their Harry Potter range (including holdalls and hot water bottles) if anyone has a fan to buy for (the house fleecey hoodies from last year are back too)

I'm absolutely not tempted by the house christmas stockings

Not sure if this has already been posted but b&m have their Santa sacks in and other festive items!

From Amazon. These are the ones I got, were £7.99 when I bought but £8.99 is still good value.

I hadn't realised the Grazia box was originally £15. I was happy with the £30 I paid. Until now!

Wolfcub · 15/09/2023 14:15

I certainly didn't see it at £15 either. It was 30 when the bargain boxes were 5 and some of the others were 15

The beach towels at 3.50 are great stocking fillers. They are very thin so we use for school swimming lessons as light to carry and it dries quickly.

Froppysue · 15/09/2023 14:27

@Hickry I think the beachwaver is only available from their direct website - they have a neon green one reduced to £59 rather than the £119 if your dd isn’t fussed on the colour. You can also sign up for text alerts to get 20% off - not sure if you could use it on the reduced curler, but worth a try.

Dee1224 · 15/09/2023 14:31

Hi, the Grazia box that was £30 yesterday, (reduced from £40), was definitely £15 the other day. I got all the way to checkout with it and a £5 mystery box before pausing as I didn’t need it. What GB have done is outrageous. I won’t be buying from there again.

Elephantino · 15/09/2023 14:33

@Fiftysixthnamechange thanks for sharing the Valentte offer. I also bought a Reed diffuser for £9 which I will add to my daughter in laws gifts.

BoopK · 15/09/2023 14:38

The Grazia box was £30 on Wed, I didn't see at a cheaper price either. Tbh I still think it's a great price, I was going to buy a pillow spray anyway, usually £20 and rarely on offer

Darkbutstarrynight · 15/09/2023 15:00

@Dee1224 Surely that's what Amazon does for example in rasing prices in response to orders.....
