Thanks @snowmanshoes for the title!

Hello everyone, so nice to see you all. Pull up a chair, have a mince pie and a peppermint latte and share your Christmas bargains and ideas. In message two are the links and info from last year - if anyone has anything they'd like me to amend or add, please do tag me and I'll update.

A reminder not to post affiliate links in the thread but that MN do change amazon links shared by posters into MN affiliate links.

Please do watch the thread rather than post to mark place to make it easier for everyone to keep up and find relevant info.

A massive thank you to those who have contributed and/or run the prequel threads this year. I can't believe it's another year! I started these when DD was a baby and she's just gone into Year 8!

I have an entertainer birthday code that I’m not using. Not sure if it’s just for me or anyone can use it. PM if anyone wants to try.

FYI
I tried to share one previously and it didn't work unless it was matched with my log in details which includes addresses.

It may have changed though.

Hi, would someone share the extra fossil code please, I'm sorry I can't see it.

It was ADD25, but I think they might have removed it - worth a try though!

PeriwinkleForever · 14/09/2023 22:51

@1stTimeMama yes - me and my daughter are serious curlies and the wet brush is the best brush I’ve ever used. Goes through curls and tangles like silk.

rainbowripples · 14/09/2023 22:55

1stTimeMama · 14/09/2023 21:56

Can anyone who's used the wet brush on curly hair tell me if they're any good? 2 of my sons have the such curly hair, but one of them gets terrible matting at the back and it's a nightmare to comb through. Would this wet brush be worth getting for him?

It depends how thick their hair is. It’s good for my DS’s hair but only brushes the surface of my DD’s thick hair, leaving it knotty underneath (Denman is the best for her hair).

I ordered these. 4 boxes for £16, postage was nearly £4 taking it up to £19 something so I added another random £5 box on and postage was free!

5 boxes for £21.

I can't find this... have they stopped doing it?
Do you have a link?
Thank you

Callmesleepy · 15/09/2023 00:02

@1stTimeMama fab for brushing their hair when it's wet and conditioned but not when it's dry. I didn't think you're meant to brush curly hair dry anyway?

We also loved the milkshake spray recommend last year on curly hair although annoyingly not at all bargainous currently!

Dee1224 · 15/09/2023 00:19

@GoodbyeErinsborough - Glossybox have, very cheekily - doubled the price of their Outlet mystery boxes from £5 to £10 and the two bundle from £9 to £20. They have also increased the price of the Grazia bundle from £15 to £30.

No doubt they have done it because of the increased purchases created by the FB post and threads like this, but I think it’s disgraceful of them.

I almost bought the Grazia box yesterday when it was £15, but I am glad I didn’t give them any money now!

Checkinmylist1 · 15/09/2023 01:16

I have been a Valentte fan for a couple of years now - their diffusers are so nice & really highly scented (my favs are the lemongrass & rosemary/ & patchouli & eucalyptus) visitors always comment on them. If you sign up to their e mail they regularly send fab offers - my last one was buy one get one free on the diffusers plus another diffuser free!

Wildlynx · 15/09/2023 06:09

Amazon have £5 off £25 spend today only. It popped up for me so may be selected customers but worth checking.

Someaddedsugar · 15/09/2023 06:16

@Scout2016 they do a Black Friday sale usually with a few higher discounts.

user1471440782 · 15/09/2023 06:25

Thank you for the ET idea, it's £28.99 in the Entertainer so a bargain at £9.36!

Filterphobia · 15/09/2023 06:51

@Wildlynx I can’t see the £5 off £25 on Amazon. Where was the pop up, was it on the app? Maybe it’s customer specific.

SundayCherry · 15/09/2023 07:23

I’m currently doing my masters and I have student discount codes for loads of places such as new look, boohoo, and loads more so happy for people to ask me on here if I have any codes for anything and share :)

Would rather use my discount for good!!

@Janetstreetwater I have a 10% foot asylum code it’s

UNIDAYS-kVC8faPMWKsMd3

it also gives you free delivery :)

smootholive · 15/09/2023 07:23

@1stTimeMama i would second the denman brushes. My son also has very curly hair and I use the cantu kids detangling spray and a raking comb. It gets all knots out and brings his curls up lovely. I sometimes use their kids curling cream too. You can get them all from boots and they do regular offers on them

Room4onemore · 15/09/2023 07:29

Magic mixes crystal ball is on offer on amazon, sorry I can’t do links lol

Vebrithien · 15/09/2023 07:59

My Gruum order arrived yesterday. Letterbox parcel, and I also ordered the facial spray, so £5.95 for P&P and the spray.

Hope everyone else has theirs arrive so quickly, and you're pleased with it.

The box is sealed (tape and a tab), and there were a couple of advertising leaflets inside (wine 52 type things)

What a brillliant bargain that milkshake stuff was. I've used it 5 times a week since December and still have some! Keeping an eye out for another price drop now.

STom2 · 15/09/2023 08:11

The Amazon £5 off £25 is today only. Applies to orders sold and shipped by Amazon. When at checkout enter AMAZON25 discount code. Today is their 25th birthday I think.

Crimsonbow · 15/09/2023 08:54

@Callmesleepy and @gawditswindy another huge fan of the milkshake stuff here! Use it everytime I was mine or DD's hair. I did have to buy another one recently - cheapest I found it was lookfantastic with a code

Just to note that it's only off certain things. I tried this gs in my wish list that were sold and dispatched by amazon but they wouldn't work. You have to go through the banner page and search an item through that and see if they have it.

YorkshireWelsh · 15/09/2023 09:22

@1stTimeMama and others asking about curly hair brushes….I have a denman wet brush (it’s round with a loop handle on the back) which I use to brush my conditioner through and massage my scalp to keep the skin healthy as I only wash my hair about every 4 days. I then have a standard denman brush for wet styling. Found both of these to be great and the standard denmans are often on offer in boots etc.
I’ve found Only Curls products amazing - they smell fantastic, and although they’re expensive they do bundle offers etc (sign up to the mailing list) and starter kits, plus they last ages. They also do a kids range now. I have fine hair and they don’t weigh my hair down like lots of products.

WhyDoesItAlways · 15/09/2023 09:36

Thanks to PP for the saltrock sale heads up. I put something in my basket and they sent me a code for free delivery so worth doing it anyone is buying under the free delivery threshold.

Also thanks to PP's for the bridal beauty box, gruum and Valentte offers. Hard to buy for MIL is done for this year already!

Athlebad · 15/09/2023 09:57

I had no luck in the first Poundland I tried, but managed to find the Snakesss game in another branch yesterday, thanks so much for the info
@evtheria It's a bigger and better quality box than I was expecting, seems like a massive bargain at £5.
