Are we having a Christmas fridge thread this year?

I know every year it gets slated by the ones who click on It to say how awful it is. But don't know if it would be genuinely insensitive?
I'm only asking because I finally have a proper huge fridge for the first time in years 😀

I love the Christmas fridge thread.

Threadkillacilla · 18/12/2022 17:27

Go on then flash your festive food.Smile

Winterfellismyhome · 18/12/2022 17:29

I also love them 😁

MisgenderedPaul · 18/12/2022 17:31

Oh, I haven't bought it yet. Just asking first.

I'd need to clean the fridge and then buy some festive food.

At the moment there are 59 half used jars, loads of veg and half a dozen random Tupperware boxes of stuff.

Throwaway1066 · 18/12/2022 17:31

I love them too (but haven’t shopped yet!) but post with caution and wear your hard hat.

IrmaBunt · 18/12/2022 17:32

It's one of my favourite threads each year.

ouch321 · 18/12/2022 17:32

Tad early no as most people go or receive delivery 20 to 24th I think?

Would have made sense as a Xmas Eve thread I think.

Start the thread again then.

Add in a medication shelf and cheese knuckles and you've described ours, very unappealing!

I do love the thread! People can always Hide it if they don’t approve, the title is clear and unambiguous.

This is the thing. I always usually think, well just don't read the thread if you don't like it, but I don't know about this year.

I’m just here for the pics, disclaimer no point in mine because after 30 plus yrs of cooking,Christmas dinner is Chinese takeaway 😬

I know. This is the thread before the thread!

Placemarking! Loved this thread this year. Doing the big shop on Thursday. Just have a fridge full of cheese at the minute

HoneyIshrunkthe · 18/12/2022 18:10

Love this

theshadeofgreen · 18/12/2022 18:12

Oh I adore this thread Xmas Blush

PestorPeston · 18/12/2022 18:14

@Threadkillacilla maybe we should have pre-Christmas pictures to show the normal state of our fridges. We'd all have to name change to avoid the shame.

TheChosenTwo · 18/12/2022 18:14

My delivery is coming Thursday. Need to do a fridge clean out first and then will post it happily. We have a separate booze fridge though and a fridge in the shed which usually serves as the overflow drinks fridge in the summer for parties/bbqs but also holds extra food at Christmas. There will be a lot of people here though hence the need for a lot of fridge space!

Weewillywinki · 18/12/2022 18:16

I haven’t seen this before. Will I scroll down lots of pictures of pints of milk and Lurpak butter (placemarking if so!)?

jellybeanteaparty · 18/12/2022 18:17

I was supposed to have a new large fridge freezer this week but it was too big to go through any doorways(lesson learned!) So I have a small fridge freezer for Xmas hosting 3 days of 10 people (different people each day!) I would love fridge pics and tips.....

Fridges jam packed with trifles, sausage rolls, desserts and alcohol!!! Enjoy 🙂

Unlikely, OP, we all have to starve in solidarity with the poor this year. instead of donating to food banks and not being a perfomative twat online

gingercat02 · 18/12/2022 18:25

I only have cheese so far and my fridge is minging shopping coming on Friday. I'm in

PollyEsther · 18/12/2022 18:26

I actually love the fridge thread. Especially those who go early, for both last minute inspiration and a reminder of things I've forgotten!
