Christmas

What is your husband buying you for Christmas this year?

I need some inspiration. My husband has asked me what I want for Christmas and I'm drawing a blank!
Only thing I can think of is the new (regular) reading kindle with the light. But there's nothing wrong with my old kindle (with no light)...so not sure I want it gathering dust.
What have you all asked this year?
Or what would you really like?

I’ve asked for an iPad as I don’t have one since a previous one got trashed by our then puppy Airedale. (She’s now 6 so hoping it survives this time)
kindle paper white is excellent by the way - definitely worth having.

Really you need ideas? Perfume, underwear, bubble bath, jewellery, books, clothes, sports equipment, hobby stuff.

Fuck all, I think.
I'd like a new garden furniture set, a spa day, or a theatre and restaurant evening.

All the stuff I'd like and don't have is generally too expensive as I just buy myself things I want over the year anyway. I think he's planning on arranging a long weekend getaway without the kids in early January though, which will be lovely, give us a chance to unwind with each other after a tricky year.

On years like that I just ask for something small to open - nice shower gel and slippers. And save the money for the next theatre show that I want to see.

We don't usually do gifts but this year I also want a kindle. I used to read all the time and have stopped this past few years. Hopefully I can take it up again if I get one.

I'm happy with the usual girly gifts like bath shit and PJs. Easily pleased.

A coffee machine.

Never owned one, so I've suggested we go halves on a good one since we both like a nice coffee. So romantic eh 😂

Yeah I need ideas 🙈 I can always think of lots of things to get other people just not myself 😅
It's just been my birthday so I've had perfume & books.

We don't usually do presents just get stuff as need crops up. I got him some 501s but he had them for my birthday as he had nothing to wear to my birthday lunch.

I've asked for a new cover for my kindle, Kindle vouchers, tickets to a local comedy festival, Lego Christmas tree, Bluetooth shower radio, a sewing box and needle magnet, lush bubble bar, Pinch of Nom recipe book, nice truffles
Obviously I won't get all of it!

Mu kindle is old and playing up so the kindle signature bundle with case and changer in lilac and a lilac loungewear fleece from Next and a gift card for the sales. I'm really looking forward to having the light feature for bed or those afternoons where the light starts to dim. Previous hits have been headphones both over ear and in ear, leather backpack, dyson hairdryer, straighteners and pjs with out cats faces on. I'd really like the white company or neom pod diffuser but I can't because of the cats, 1 is very sensitive to even a plug in.

OP, I’ve had both, and I love the lit-up Kindle. I read in bed a lot, so can do it at (often) sleepless 3 am without disturbing dh.

Except for the usual chocolates this year (lit up Kindle was a previous 🎄present) I’ve told him not to bother - there’s nothing I particularly want or need. (Except a £££££ coat, but it’ll never look half as good on me as it does on the model in the pic anyway)

I’m going to do what I did a couple of years ago - go and do a big shop just for the food bank, and tell him that’s his present to me. No use getting him to do it - without a detailed list he wouldn’t know what’s best to get.

A present I did ask for a few years ago - I had to circle the size and style in the catalogue or he’d have got the wrong ones - was my lovely sheepskin house boots from Celtic. I absolutely live in them in winter - and especially now, toasty warm feet make all the difference.

Nothing. Normally we do get each other quite a few things but this year we have a pact that we don’t need more stuff so we are just buying for DCs. I might cave and get him something small.

Old gimmer here who really doesn't need anything (that I haven't already bought myself) but DH has a romantic idea of 'presents' so I save some things to ask for.

This year a lovely body oil from Cosmetics a la carte and a couple of hooks (which I can't get in kindle format).

Hooks? Books, I asked for books.
