Socks?
Pants?
Jumper?
T-shirt?
Chocolate?
Alcohol?
Cheese?
Board game?
Slippers?
Tech?
Smellies?

danidandan · 23/12/2021 13:11

I had the same issue!
DH has everything and I didn't just want to get him the novelty socks / pants / mug

I booked us a night stay at the crazy bear hotel.
Could that be an option? (Not necessarily crazy bear,) but a night stay / dinner reservation at a nice hotel or somewhere you like going?

Then just write in a card what the plans are and what he needs to pack for when etc.

Wowcher have some good deals on hotel / dinner stays for one night.

Or maybe a virgin experience day?

pairsinparis · 23/12/2021 13:12

Thinking about things that mean you don't have to leave the house now...

Coffee subscription
Magazine subscription
Waterstones gift card
Experience day
Air b n b for the night for a weekend away
Restaurant vouchers

Nittersing · 23/12/2021 13:13

Book a weekend away somewhere he wouldn't object to and you'd enjoy. Then print off the reservation paperwork and pop it in a Christmas card for him. Win-win🥰

SmallElephant · 23/12/2021 13:15

Have you asked him? I know it's less fun than a surprise but he might have some ideas?

SeaToSki · 23/12/2021 13:16

Coupon book for breakfast in bed and other things that you can do to treat him

Beamur · 23/12/2021 13:17

I got mine a frying pan. He'll be thrilled. Honestly!
Socks always a winner here too.

Aposterhasnoname · 23/12/2021 13:21

Tickets to something, preferably in the summer. Any sport he enjoys, a concert, the theatre, a tourist attraction, one of those balloon ride/race car driving/ Segway riding experiences? Or as others have said, a short break somewhere.

AnneLovesGilbert · 23/12/2021 13:22

Is he getting you something?

supergloo · 23/12/2021 13:22

@AnneLovesGilbert

Is he getting you something?

I've given up with physical presents. I buy experiences now. Weekends away, a show etc. I do the same with my daughter. This year's she's got a jewelry making workshop voucher and some bits and bobs to open.

Beautiful3 · 23/12/2021 13:24

A subscription of some sort?

secretrugbyfan · 23/12/2021 13:25

Bollocks...no one is impossible to buy for!

Give us some details about him (age, likes, dislikes, hobbies, interests etc) and you will get a list.

Ragwort · 23/12/2021 13:29

I never exchange gifts with my DH ... neither of needs or wants anything, we don't really get each other's taste (despite being married over 30 years Grin) ... much prefer to decide together on a weekend away, theatre, something special for the home etc. Or quite honestly we are happy with nothing.

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 23/12/2021 13:29

Got my DH cinema tickets to see Bond, would he like that?

Loveisthere · 23/12/2021 13:34

AND A RIVER brilliant made.me laugh . Op agree with pp a voucher for a lovely night away

WeatherwaxLives · 23/12/2021 13:35

Really struggled with DP this year. Ordered a bottle of booze that amazon have failed to deliver Angry
And a new stainless steel bento/ lunchbox and flask - he's nicked my plastic one while I've been wfh and it's knackered now.

Hoping my reorder of the booze comes tomorrow, or that's a very underwhelming Xmas!

I'm housebound currently so I'm reliant on ordering online otherwise I'd be scouring the shops!

Nordicmom · 23/12/2021 13:35

We both get ourselves bigger presents of exactly what we want but I also got my DH

  • 2 books
  • a whisky bottle ( something he hadn’t tried before that wasn’t cheap with great reviews so hopefully he’ll like it )
  • pyjamas because he always needs more
  • a nice woolly sweater from a brand he likes in a neutral colour I normally get these right and it can be returned if need to
  • a few yummy treats

I don’t believe anyone is impossible if nothing else a gift card and something yummy they like to eat / drink

Benmac · 23/12/2021 13:36

Our present to each other is Christmas away. Last year it was a new fridge and freezer which we stuffed with treats and nice wine. Prefer being away.

diddl · 23/12/2021 13:39

Will he be expecting anything?

I mean if I ask my husband what he wants & he says nothing then I take him at his word.

I'm not going to stress myself out wasting time & money just for the sake of it!
