@secretrugbyfan I challenge you to find a present for my DF, and I genuinely mean it I am stuck. If you can think of something you'll be my saviour.
He has said no clothes, socks, gloves, scarves hats etc as he has more than he can use/wear, his only hobby is carp fishing which he does less and less and has more equipment than a professional would need, he doesn't read books, he won't do puzzles, he doesn't really drink, he's not a foodie, we have given him lots of experience days he only likes the flying ones and has done them all several times over, he drives but doesn't like it, automatic only and wouldn't enjoy track days etc. He doesn't listen to music, he doesn't use or want any tech. He enjoys walking but has bought himself new boots etc in the last few months. He doesn't garden other than obligatory lawn mowing enough which he grumbles about. He doesn't like novelty things that you might but in desperation best grandad mugs etc. When you ask him, he says he doesn't want anything, but we've bought my mum lovely presents, I know she'll enjoy and I just can't face not giving him anything!
I'm not sure where you live, but places like Murdock barbers in London offer proper wet shaves...the whole hot towel, oils, shave with a cutthroat razor etc etc. All men shave, so what about this as an option. There must be places where you live (if outside the smoke) that you could send him to for this. Combine this with a haircut and that's half a day of male pampering (assuming he's not bald of course)
How about paying for someone to mow the lawn for all of next year? If he moans about it, get someone in so he doesn't have to. Depending on budget you could also pay for someone to treat his lawn, and stripe it once the weeds/moss/shite are all out of it. A stripey lawn in a nice garden makes all the difference.
Again, let me know what you think of the above.
