aargh please help re t shirt branding 17 year old DS

Overnight, DS has acquired an interest in wearing nice gear. He was a band tshirt gut and has told me he would love some graphic Ts but is "over" the band T shirt thing. He is NOT into football.
I am so out of the loop - what are the "on trend" brands now for lads?

Graphic Ts that are a bit trendy and branded probably.... but not chavvy.

My son is 20, he likes Ralph Lauren, sometimes TK Maxx have t-shirts or sweatshirts available or I order direct on the website, RL also have outlet stores but I don’t live near to one.. What brands do his friends like, wear etc. DS got into RL in his early teens, as his golf club friends wore RL. Not sure if it’s still trendy, but very good quality and DS still likes it.
