aargh please help re t shirt branding 17 year old DS

Overnight, DS has acquired an interest in wearing nice gear. He was a band tshirt gut and has told me he would love some graphic Ts but is "over" the band T shirt thing. He is NOT into football.
I am so out of the loop - what are the "on trend" brands now for lads?

@supergloo - my DD’s 19 year old boyfriend wears t-shirts from Nike, Palace or Palm Angels.

Agree with a pp that brands are definitely regional. I'm in the NW area and here all the boys wear either North Face or Canada Goose coats, girls in Moncler.

Yes, I am in the NW and have never seen many of the brands mentioned above. That being said, he would not wear north face or canada goose as these are "road men" gear, apparently.

Yes, I think this may be my best bet. I was reluctant as I have always gifted as a surprise so this will be my first year of working from a list.

They really are! One of my DC started Uni this year and friends from ‘down south’ have a totally different idea of what is the thing to wear!

I wouldn’t worry about surprises!
My DC send me links (wish list) all through December and they get some of the items they have chosen.
They don’t know until they open their present what I have bought! They still get a (sort of) surprise and I don’t waste money buying the wrong thing.

I love my branded clothing, the best brands in my opinion are;
Fred Perry
Dickies
Vans
Nike
Stussy
I dunno what your budget is but normally my T-shirs range from £25-£70 and my jumpers are normally anywhere from £60-£100+

You will never get it right. Get a voucher for somewhere that does all of them, like Asos, or give cash.

Just give him cash. They will be 30% -50% off in the sale after Christmas.

Depends on the brand. If you want to buy Supreme you’d be lucky to even be able to buy some of their things at their drop on Thursdays at noon.. And the latest OVO collab sold out in minutes.

An asos voucher might be the way to go here. Tons of brands on there - I picked up some allsaints and Tommy Hilfiger for my DH this year from there..

Here it is Supreme, Palm Angels, Moncler, OVO at the moment.

If you can get hold of any ‘Drew House’ that is always a good one, not common as it’s an American brand but pretty cool apparently

I would ask him what brand he would like and in fact what exact t-shirt he would like, otherwise you're bound to get the wrong thing.
