Best and worst Christmas films?

I love Home Alone (1 and 2) and National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. Not keen on the Polar Express although I want to love it. I think it's to do with the ticket blowing away and it being inevitable and it makes me twitchy.

What are yours?

Best: Die Hard
Worst: Elf. I thought it was terrible, unfunny and annoying!

Probably should rediscover Scrooged which I have fond memories of.

Love Actually is my favourite, NOEL is my worst

I love Home Alone also (but definitely prefer #1).
It’s a Wonderful Life is still amazing and a Muppets Christmas Carol with children. I also watch Love Actually every year even though I judge myself for doing so (just a bit!).

Worst: probably The Holiday.

I did put myself through A Castle for Christmas and didn't hate it so not such I have a worst.

Sorry I disagree, Die hard is a Christmas film. One of our favourites along with home alone 1, bad Santa and the Santa clause. Die hard has been on the sky Christmas channel for weeks, so even sky thinks it’s a Christmas movie too !

Worst:- home alone 3 and 4,

I love Christmas from memory I Love Wonderful Life, The Holiday, Mrs Miracle, Home Alone 1 & 2, Love Actually, Love on 34th Street (old and newer one).

Best Christmas film - love Arthur Christmas and not a long one but The Snowman has to be watched every year in our house.

Worst by a long way is Love Actually or Misogyny actually as it goes in my house as I angrily rant at the television through a sloe gin haze

Oh the Judge has definitely ruled that Die Hard is most definitely a Christmas film,

I hate Polar Express! I find the animation so creepy.

Nativity is ok.
Nativity 2-4 are awful.

Worst - Most afternoon Christmas films on channel 5! One last week was called "The Christmas bunny" pretty bad! Oh and one from my childhood which my brother loved " Santa Claus conquer's the martians"

OK, why is it a Christmas Film?

I say..if Die Hard is a Christmas film - then so is Batman Returns and Gremlins! They're all Christmas adjacent films.. set around Christmas time but not really about Christmas.

Get Santa is the runaway favourite in this house! Funny, touching, mega Christmassy and Jim Broadbent is Father Christmas.

Worst: anything on Channel 5 in the afternoons.
