@dancemom if you could split the gift then Yankee candles themselves do an offer at the moment where you can choose a large candle, a small candle, a box of tea lights and the smelly thing with the sticks and oil (whose name escapes me at the moment!) all for a few pence over 30£. Delivery is free too. I ordered the other day to split between people and was very impressed.

He is 8, so we don’t have many years left and I really wanted to keep it going this year. I really don’t know what to do. He won’t be given the scooter in the box at Christmas but I’m not sure that’s enough really - I need to explain away why it’s here!

@oriel2013 the xiaomi fitness bands are fantastic, we’ve had them for years. Hardly ever need to charge them and they do everything the Fitbit does. Can’t recommend them enough xiaomi

I bought the surprise gift from Yankee Bundle and the advent calendar has turned up! It cost £10 Amazing.

Also ordered UGGS literally 2 days ago from Country Attire and they arrived this morning. Great service.

Our Aldi only had Christmas squishmallows earlier, I asked someone and they said they haven't had any of the normal ones yet so I'm guessing they'll land tomorrow

Started wrapping tonight and was reminded of mumsnet by my very snazzy tape dispenser that I bought following a recommendation the first year I started following these threads.

Anyway so I’m passing the message on, a rapesco tape dispenser is the best thing ever and turns you into a literal wrapping ninja. There’s one on Amazon for £7 atm as long as you don’t mind that it’s pink

@LastStarFighter at Halloween, Lush had cool bubble bars that looked like that, you could blow through the mouth to make bubbles. They might still have one lurking out back? Turned the whole bath purple and lasted about 4 baths. Kids loved blowing bubbles with it.

Still desperate for Primarc XL men's pjs, grey with Christmas trees if anyone could post in return for cost/postage. Still trying to stay hopeful that we'll end up with a matching set.

Also, Lidl had small (mid thigh height) potted Christmas trees for £8.99.

I love Rapesco. My respect to him. He even takes the Home Bargains cheapo tape. He isn't fussy.
