And I’m up at 3:40am so thought I’d check out if there are any bargains that I need 😁

If you’re posting anything specifically for me please do @ me or I may not spot it. It’s helpful if when sharing bargain info you bold it to make it easy for people to differentiate between chat and bargain links.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me know if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

Thanks @Newdad19 lots there but neither of the ones I was looking for

Haveyoubrushedyourteeth · 27/11/2021 19:22

@dancemom if you could split the gift then Yankee candles themselves do an offer at the moment where you can choose a large candle, a small candle, a box of tea lights and the smelly thing with the sticks and oil (whose name escapes me at the moment!) all for a few pence over 30£. Delivery is free too. I ordered the other day to split between people and was very impressed.

@oriel2013

Apologies if I've missed a similar request but any recommendations for a Fitbit style fitness tracker for an 8 year old? It's for a present from his grandad so under £40 would be preferable. Thanks so much!

My 9 year old has a Honor Band 5 - would recommend, easy to use, under £40!

Iggi999 · 27/11/2021 19:27

Thank you to everyone who replies re my Costa card dilemma! Great ideas, and better than spending £60 (dh almost fainted Grin)

AnimalTheDrummer · 27/11/2021 19:30

@slithytoveisascientist

He is 8, so we don’t have many years left and I really wanted to keep it going this year. I really don’t know what to do. He won’t be given the scooter in the box at Christmas but I’m not sure that’s enough really - I need to explain away why it’s here!
We sometimes say that we buy things to send to Santa.
dancemom · 27/11/2021 19:41

It's really just the one I need but thank you @Haveyoubrushedyourteeth

oriel2013 · 27/11/2021 19:53

Thank you @neonleopard, I was getting confused with ones that didn't specifically say kids but good to know the Honor one will still fit

louisethedisease · 27/11/2021 19:54

My dd12 has asked for dream smp merch for Christmas, does anyone have any ideas on what I can get for her please? It's all new to me.

Rampanthobbit · 27/11/2021 19:56

Hi all thanks for the bargains so far!

Would anyone have a discount code for J D Williams by any chance please?

Thanks

MydeamonsanOstrich · 27/11/2021 19:59

My bargain Dorothy's Perkins Penguin jumper arrived and is great; thanks to whoever posted it. Sorry I can't remember who it was Blush

Does anybody know if it's possible to buy a physical Just Eat gift card in an actual shop or is it all online these days?

Carrie76 · 27/11/2021 20:02

@oriel2013 the xiaomi fitness bands are fantastic, we’ve had them for years. Hardly ever need to charge them and they do everything the Fitbit does. Can’t recommend them enough xiaomi

shinny · 27/11/2021 20:03

I bought the surprise gift from Yankee Bundle and the advent calendar has turned up! It cost £10 Amazing.

Also ordered UGGS literally 2 days ago from Country Attire and they arrived this morning. Great service.

TheCrow · 27/11/2021 20:03

Our Aldi only had Christmas squishmallows earlier, I asked someone and they said they haven't had any of the normal ones yet so I'm guessing they'll land tomorrow

Just Eat Gift Cards

Justhereforthechristmasthreads · 27/11/2021 20:05

@MydeamonsanOstrich forgot to say you can choose physical gift cards and whether you want them sending to you or direct to recipient

Started wrapping tonight and was reminded of mumsnet by my very snazzy tape dispenser that I bought following a recommendation the first year I started following these threads.

Anyway so I’m passing the message on, a rapesco tape dispenser is the best thing ever and turns you into a literal wrapping ninja. There’s one on Amazon for £7 atm as long as you don’t mind that it’s pink

Methenyouplus4 · 27/11/2021 20:09

@LastStarFighter at Halloween, Lush had cool bubble bars that looked like that, you could blow through the mouth to make bubbles. They might still have one lurking out back? Turned the whole bath purple and lasted about 4 baths. Kids loved blowing bubbles with it.

I tried to upload a photo but it won't let me for some reason, will try to message it to you.

MydeamonsanOstrich · 27/11/2021 20:10

Thanks @Justhereforthechristmasthreads

Methenyouplus4 · 27/11/2021 20:11

Trying again...

Oh bloody hell, it was on the first post anyway. Sorry about that.

Methenyouplus4 · 27/11/2021 20:14

Still desperate for Primarc XL men's pjs, grey with Christmas trees if anyone could post in return for cost/postage. Still trying to stay hopeful that we'll end up with a matching set.

Methenyouplus4 · 27/11/2021 20:14

Also, Lidl had small (mid thigh height) potted Christmas trees for £8.99.

LastStarFighter · 27/11/2021 20:16

@Methenyouplus4 that looks awesome! He would love that, and I’ll be near Lush on Monday so will ask. Thanks so much for thinking of me Smile

I love Rapesco. My respect to him. He even takes the Home Bargains cheapo tape. He isn't fussy.
