Reastie · 26/11/2021 03:41

And I’m up at 3:40am so thought I’d check out if there are any bargains that I need 😁

If you’re posting anything specifically for me please do @ me or I may not spot it. It’s helpful if when sharing bargain info you bold it to make it easy for people to differentiate between chat and bargain links.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

No affiliate links please.

Referral thread here to use for if you’re posting your personal referral link to others.

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me know if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

Please may I have ideas for elderly couple friends who are moving 200 miles away? They’ll be living in a small space temporarily.

Also for a close friend who is moving 200miles away.

Are vouchers for afternoon tea in the new country too impersonal?

AnimalTheDrummer · 27/11/2021 17:13

@hairycabbage

Can anyone recommend some switch games for an eight year old please? She loves Animal Crossing and Lego Harry Potter but not much else has grabbed her attention so far. I thought about Minecraft but not sure!
I'm still catching up on the thread so sorry if this has already been suggested but my dc love Mario kart on the switch.
noodledoodler · 27/11/2021 17:16

Amazon have Bulleit Bourbon on offer for £18, this is a nice one if you are gifting bourbon or keep an eye in the woodford reserve, also a nice bourbon to gift, it sometimes comes down to £20.

PenguinTattoo · 27/11/2021 17:16

@alexinmotherland I am so sorry but no Marge Simpson pjs that I could find in Tottenham Court Road Primark. They may well have been there somewhere because it was huge and very messy, but I looked in women's pjs and the Xmas sections with no luck. Staff were useless, but to be fair it was hell on earth in there. (25 min queue to pay), so I can understand their lack of enthusiasm.

LastStarFighter · 27/11/2021 17:44

@HikingforScenery I think vouchers for a meal in their new area sounds really lovely Smile. Very thoughtful. There were a few suggestions earlier in the thread for that kind of thing with money off, but I’m afraid I didn’t take not of them. Might be worth scrolling back.

2lostsouls · 27/11/2021 17:55

Reductions on games by the exploding kittens people Here Not sure how prices compare with offers elsewhere.

Iggi999 · 27/11/2021 17:59

I thought I had school presents sussed this year and was just going to buy Starbucks/Costa cards - but have counted up and would need 6 of them! £60 is about double what I could pay. Back to the drawing board! Did some real life shopping today and glad to be back online Grin

Thisisbatshit · 27/11/2021 18:05

@tamtam86 yes buy the ooni now if you can. They don't often have 20% off and when they go out of stock (which they don't seem to be right now maybe they have sorted the supply issues they were having) it can be months of waiting.

SpamIAm · 27/11/2021 18:05

@Iggi999 surely £5 is plenty? Enough for a coffee and a cake.

lightisnotwhite · 27/11/2021 18:15

@Tamtam86 Thank you!
Exactly the price point I was looking for and a nice range of products.

Thanks very much @LastStarFighter. I’ll get vouchers and I’ll also scroll through the thread Smile

Maharajah20 · 27/11/2021 18:26

@LastStarFighter thanks for weighted blanket recommendation. £10 cheaper than the one I had in my Amazon basket.

PoirotAndHisMoustache · 27/11/2021 18:26

@user1466167893 i hope I don’t sound patronising but remember that it’s not how thick the jacket is, but what’s in it that makes it warm. I have a Jack Wolfskin down jacket and Columbia parka - both bought cheaply on CotswoldOutdoors sale and both not thick but both really warm

Namechangesagain · 27/11/2021 18:35

@HikingforScenery
25% off red letter days with code black Friday

26% off buyagift with black26

VividImaginationAgain · 27/11/2021 18:37

@user1466167893 what about Gandys. They have a good sale and it seems to be quite a lot of the smaller sizes left. If you saw something you liked @mrs12345 might be kind enough to send you her referral code which gives £15 off £50 (works on sale items). Also free postage today.

Love these threads and I have taken advantage of your ideas to buy a bargainous Hype school coat, a family and friends railcard and joined Topcash back! Thank you all.

I wondered if anyone had any suggestions for some fancy shmancy oven gloves for DH who is always using my nice teatowels to take things out of the oven?

Clementine8 · 27/11/2021 18:43

FAMILY20 gets 20% off at Jaques of London. Picked up a few more bits for DD despite saying i was finally done for her.

I am trying to resist nordic ticket to ride too. Its clearly for me but i could pass it off as being for the kids

LastStarFighter · 27/11/2021 18:48

@Member345787 it’s very dependent on his taste, but DH bought these Scion ones in both colours and they are lovely. Really good insulation too.

17caterpillars1mouse · 27/11/2021 18:50

Omgosh late to this but red candy! Wilma the Wooly mammoth or randy the rhino? Decisions, decisions

dancemom · 27/11/2021 18:55

Also looking for slippers around £10 also

And any method of getting reduced Starbucks and JD gift cards?

Could you get £5 ones and a bar of Lindt or Christmas £1 chocs? Would be a lovely gift and nearly half the price x
oriel2013 · 27/11/2021 19:11

Apologies if I've missed a similar request but any recommendations for a Fitbit style fitness tracker for an 8 year old? It's for a present from his grandad so under £40 would be preferable. Thanks so much!
