Hope you all find me ok

@EightToSixer clearly knows something I don’t about neom boxes 🤣.

If you’re posting anything specifically for me please do @ me or I may not spot it. It’s helpful if when sharing bargain info you bold it to make it easy for people to differentiate between chat and bargain links.

Vodafone codes thread here

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me know if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

@0ttoline

Haudyourwheesht another book recommendation for 3-5s - Teddy Robinson books, and Milly Molly Mandy. My kids loved both (as did I when I was little too, was lovely to reread) and they're both short stories rather than chapters, so great at bedtime. Really sweet. Also both have beautiful illustrations by their authors.
Oh this made me nostalgic! Milly molly Mandy was a fav of mine! I’m gonna try and find this today for my niece!

Can anyone recommend a bracelet making kit for a 4 year old (supervised) please? Most look aimed at older children.

MammaGnomes · 21/11/2021 12:27

Has anyone ordered from https://www.bllyed.com/products/childrens-warm-home-hoodie-104ce3a0c2a54e2da1c92b7f16078050?spm=..index.collectionproductss_1.1

(Sorry can't do links)

They have kids HP oodie type things for £25 but no reviews so bit nervous

@Georgieporgie29

25% off at Monsoon with YAYEARLY25
Thank you @Georgieporgie29, nice new top for me for a Christmas lunch I'm going to next week and a new dance bag for DD's stocking.

@greencatblue my 4 yr old got this for her birthday and really enjoyed it. They add a personalised sticker to the box too which is a nice touch. cottontwist.co.uk/products/rainbow-colours-bracelet-making-kit

@CamdenLurker

Why is everyone feeling so bad over the JL glitch? Lots of posters were happy when the Hot Diamonds codes were stacking and also would have happily taken the free PJ's.

They can choose to fulfil the orders or just cancel them.

It's not a big deal really, they turn over millions and Janice working on the lingerie section isn't going to lose her job over this!

Exactly surely much of what is posted here is also similarly questionable - how is this much different to eg People are using Vodafone rewards and are not Vodafone customers so as their customers aren’t using them they are experiencing higher uptake and therefore cost.

Blue light card discounts how many people fry shared codes they aren’t entitled to?

Student discounts also

Codes sent to individuals by companies they are a customer off

WHSmith code stacks

Last years M&S Prosecco glitch

I really could go on

Christmasmcchristmasface · 21/11/2021 12:42

Apologies for the typos but can we draw a line and we all just continue shopping in a way they we are happy with - season of goodwill and all that

LastStarFighter · 21/11/2021 12:44

Recognising that several people have asked for no more discussion of the JL glitch on the bargains thread, I have put up a separate thread here for those who do want to discuss Smile

@shinny

Can anyone remember if the Lancome deal was done through Lancome themselves or another store? I keep getting 15% off first order emails from them but have no delivery email nor can I find any payment taken from my account.

It was around 15 Nov I think and there was a free gift with any purchase.

Can anyone shed any light please? Thanks

@shinny think it was from Look Fantastic?
0ttoline · 21/11/2021 13:13

greencatblue Melissa and Doug have kits of wooden beads that are nice and chunky for little ones.

14yearsandcounting I hope she likes it, and hope you get to reread too. It was so nostalgic for me, one particular story I hadn't thought about since I was a child, the feelings came flooding back!

MeredithGreyishblue · 21/11/2021 13:27

[quote crikeycrumbsblimey]Children's books for 5-7 I would massively recommend Pamela Butchart Wigglesworth Primary books. Mine loved them as have everyone else I know who has read them.
They are written with lots of text which pops out in colour so makes a very obvious bit for the kids to read themselves.

I second this! My kids loved them! They are really good

@Haudyourwheesht

Does anyone have any recommendations of books for a (imo Wink) bright 4.5 year old? We're still reading Zog type stories but with people's talk of Harry Potter I'm thinking we should move on to chapter books. She's pretty girly but I'd really like to avoid anything too fairy/fluffy. Something along the lines of Harry Potter but without the mature themes. Tia.
@Haudyourwheesht

My daughter really like the Hotel Flamingo series. They are tame but don't feature fairies. We have also read The 13 Storey Tree House and the Oliver Moon books. All suitable for her age but don't feature fairies or unicorns or similar.

Try MLC15 or MLC20 - lovely blog called mid life chic and this should give 15 or 20% off (it changed recently and I can’t remember to which one).

@captainjacksparrow

My concern re JL for those who did order is if they suddenly take the full cost from peoples accounts. I know some will have taken advantage but will not have the money to cover this if it happens. I doubt many could wait for the returns either. I’m less worried about people feeling guilty, a quick google tells you they are not an ethical shop at all. The mistake really is the dispatching of items rather than freezing orders and going through what is genuine etc. I watch with interest to see what happens! no JL order placed just nosey
They can't do that. If you have agreed to pay £20 they can't suddenly decide to charge you £200. You would have to authorise that payment. Otherwise dodgy businesses all over would be charging you £1 for something cheap and then taking £100 out of your account.

And regarding refunds, they can only refund up to the amount you paid. They wouldn't be able to refund you more than that.

buckeejit · 21/11/2021 17:01

A bit niche but our tv broke last night & went to buy another today & £100 off LG OLED TVs at Argos with code LG100. Was already the cheapest price (I only noticed after deciding on it at curry's and then going to drive another 30 miles to get one from another store!

wickedthemusical · 21/11/2021 17:13

Does anybody have a next code? X
